In the wake of the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, Brexit leader Nigel Farage announced that he is going make an emergency trip to the United States to show solidarity with his longtime friend and political ally.
The newly-elected Reform UK Member of Parliament said that he will fly to Milwaukee for the Republican National Convention this week to “stand shoulder to shoulder with President Trump and the US to stand up for democracy.”
Writing in The Telegraph the morning following the attempt on Donald Trump’s life by a gunman, Mr Farage said: “I do so to support my friend, Donald Trump,

Former White House press secretary and MSNBC host Jen Psaki said Monday on the network’s coverage of the Republican National Convention that Teamsters president Sean O’Brien’s speech to the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee stung “a bit” for Democrats.

Co-host Rachel Maddow said, “Although Sean O’Brien has been telegraphing this for a long time. This is not a surprise.”

Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) delivered a powerful speech at the Republican National Convention (RNC) this week in which he compared former President Trump to a lion climbing back to his feet following the failed assassination attempt on his life.
“Are you ready for 4 more years of Donald Trump?” Tim Scott asked the crowd, who enthusiastically responded.
“If you didn’t believe in miracles before Saturday, you better be believing right now,” he said. “Thank God almighty that we live in a country that still believes in the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the Alpha and the Omega. And our God – Our God! – still saves.

Former President Donald Trump arrived at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Monday, two days after surviving an assassination attempt.
Lee Greenwood first spoke to the crowd, making it clear that “prayer works” ahead of Trump’s introduction.
“Is there any doubt who’s going to be the next President of the United States?” he asked.
“Prayer works — this nation based on faith. Prayer works, because he was sure as Donald Trump turned his head just slightly, that the bullet missed him just enough to save his life to be the next President of the United States,” Greenwood said as the crowd cheered.

MILWAUKEE — Two days after surviving an attempted assassination, former President Donald Trump appeared triumphantly at the Republican National Convention’s opening night with a bandage over his right ear, the latest compelling scene in a presidential campaign already defined by dramatic turns.
GOP delegates cheered wildly when Trump appeared onscreen backstage and then emerged in the arena, visibly emotional, as musician Lee Greenwood sang “God Bless the USA.” That was hours after the convention had formally nominated the former president to head the Republican ticket in November against President Joe Biden.

Former President Donald Trump doubled down in his pursuit of the Rust Belt with his choice of Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) as his running mate in the 2024 presidential race.
Before Vance was elected to the Senate from Ohio in 2022, winning a crowded Republican primary with Trump’s endorsement, he was the bestselling author of Hillbilly Elegy, a memoir that also dealt with the broader topics of drug addiction, family breakdown, and poverty in rural communities.
Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin are the states where Trump sealed his victory over Hillary Clinton in 2016. He narrowly lost all three states to President Joe Biden in 2020.

ABC got an exclusive interview with U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, which you have to admit was a good "get."
What wasn't good at all was her responses to the questions swirling around the Secret Service's inability to prevent an assassin from taking a series of shots at a former president and current presidential candidate from a bit more than a football field away. As is so often the case in the Biden Administration, no level of failure results in accountability.

President Biden doubled down on his assertion that Donald Trump is a “threat to democracy” during an interview with NBC News on Monday, despite repeatedly calling on Americans to lower the temperature in U.S. politics in the wake of a failed assassination attempt against the former president.
In a 20-minute interview that aired unedited Monday evening, NBC anchor Lester Holt asked Biden whether he has done any “soul searching” about whether his own political rhetoric could incite people who are “not balanced.”
“How do you talk about the threat to democracy, which is real, when a president says things like he says?”

During all the insanity that happened on Saturday involving the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, there was a moment that stood out to many, and it involved the conduct of the female Secret Service agents. As one clip showed, the women protecting Trump looked jittery and slightly unsure of themselves. One of them tried to holster her side arm but kept missing the holster, eventually just placing it close to her until it was easier to do so. This resulted in many people questioning why there were female Secret Service agents in the first place.

The "ladies" of ABC's "The View" are really taking President Joe Biden's message on Sunday to heart in the wake of the attempted assassination of Donald Trump. Biden urged Americans to “lower the temperature” and to remember "when we disagree, we are not enemies, we are neighbors, we are friends, co-workers, citizens and, most importantly, we are fellow Americans."
The panel was discussing the Trump attempted assassination and specifically the shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks. Ana Navarro, the supposed "Republican" on the panel, had this stunning take on what really is the cause behind the assassination attempt.

Events may have overtaken Biden's now widely known cognitive issues. What you can readily take away from past assassination attempts is the empathy factor. None of the major networks (except Fox) regularly carry Trump rallies. This is likely to change after the near assassination of President Trump. Merely the optics of Trump, wounded but defiant, standing beneath an American flag and railing against a lone gunman, already dead but who thought he would rid the planet of Trump, is a harbinger of a November win.
By that act, Thomas Matthew Crooks will be recorded by history in one of several ways: misguided, crazy, a true believer

I’ll admit it.
I’m shaken to the core by the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump at a Pennsylvania rally on Saturday. He was shot by a sniper in his right ear. Blood streamed across his face in real time as the nation watched in horror. Trump is lucky to be alive. An attendee at the rally was killed. Others were critically injured.
It’s the most violent act against a sitting or former president that I can remember in my lifetime. (I was a baby when President Ronald Reagan was severely wounded in an assassination attempt in 1981.)

The decision comes on the first day of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and comes two days after a gunman shot Trump in the upper ear at a Pennsylvania rally. The shooter, 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, nearly missed Trump’s head,

A years-long collapse in support for Democrats among young Gen Z "Zoomer" males accelerated to a dizzying speed during the Presidentish Joe Biden administration — and that's before Donald Trump's display of sheer damn manliness in the moments after Saturday's assassination attempt.
The collapse began in 2016, the same year Donald Trump was elected to his first term in office — and, looking back, it seems almost inevitable. That was the year the American Left went from merely unhinged to flying off the rails like Doc Brown and Clara Clayton at the very end of "Back to the Future Part III."

The Republican nominee, who is currently in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for the Republican National Convention, sent a lengthy message via his account on Truth Social, sharing his thoughts on the dismissal and the government's continued prosecution against him. Trump's message to his followers was simple: It's time for the multiple cases against him to end and for the country to unite. As fans of MSNBC woke up on Monday morning, many no doubt waiting to be delivered the hottest takes from Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, they were instead greeted by generic news desk coverage. That's because executives at the network made the call to pull "Morning Joe" off the air in the wake of the attempted assassination of Donald Trump. The reason why is telling.
According to CNN, which reported the development, this wasn't a case of routine preemption. After all, "Morning Joe" has been left intact through essentially every other breaking news story since its inception. Instead, the decision came from a much darker place:

Milwaukee, WI - The Republican National Committee kicks off on Monday, just two days after former President Trump, the GOP's standard-bearer, survived an assassination attempt.
And the former president, in an interview hours ahead of the start of the convention, told Fox News' Bret Baier that an announcement on his running mate will come on Monday. (Photo) The Saturday shooting at Trump's rally in western Pennsylvania – where one spectator was killed and two more critically injured, and the former president visibly bloodied after a bullet grazed his ear – has altered the tone and raised the stakes of the convention.

I wrote on Sunday about new video showing people pointing out the Trump shooter on the roof of a nearby building.
You could see the people saying, "He's on the roof," and trying to get the police to respond. You can hear Trump still speaking, still on the stage. As the seconds ticked off, you had to wonder what was going on and why they weren't getting to the guy. The video lasted just under a minute. I mentioned in the prior story that some were placing it at about two minutes between the video beginning where the people spot him and the shots.
Now, there's a great video

“It’s the right result. We’ve had lots of consternation about this in the House, of course,” Johnson told The Daily Wire. “We’ve been ringing the bells about Jack Smith and how inappropriate the whole thing was and it’s really gratifying to see a court rule that.”

One of the big questions that many have about the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump is how the shooter was able to get onto the roof, close enough to be able to shoot Trump and hit three other people, killing one and wounding two others. Plus, why, once he was spotted, wasn't he dealt with sooner, or why Trump wasn't rushed off the stage?
It would appear that someone dropped the ball in a severe failure.

A House Republican leader is planning for an oversight hearing with the U.S. Secret Service after President Donald Trump was shot in the ear at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday evening.
Sunday morning the FBI identified Thomas Matthew Crooks as the gunman who opened fire at Trump's rally. The Secret Service reported that the shooter and one rally attendee are dead. Two spectators are critically injured following the shooting.
House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer, R-Kentucky, made the request for a briefing with the Secret Service and said he would call Kimberly Cheatle, the agency's director, to testify at a hearing.

MILWAUKEE — An assassination attempt was made against Donald Trump after months of heated rhetoric aimed at the former president, including from President Biden, who a week ago said it was time to put his political rival “in a bull’s-eye.”
A day after a would-be assassin’s bullet grazed Mr. Trump, Democrats called for toning down the rhetoric of the divisive 2024 presidential election.
Republicans, preparing to gather this week to nominate Mr. Trump for president, angrily denounced the “both sides” argument of his staunchest opponents. Many of those opponents have vilified the former president as a “MAGA extremist,” an “evil” threat to democracy and the equivalent of Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.

Sometimes, what doesn't happen is the most important thing.
In the wake of the assassination attempt on Trump, many in the mainstream media pointed a finger at...Trump...for raising the temperature of the political rhetoric. They quickly insinuated that Trump's followers, who have been labeled "domestic terrorists" and "white supremacists" would roam the streets looking for revenge.
ABC, CNN, and CBS each featured pundits or even reporters turning the heat up on Trump and his supporters, suggesting that they were responsible for the climate of violence due to Trump's rhetoric.

Please stop and spare a thought for those on the political left. Bill Maher has affirmed he was appalled by the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump but qualified it by adding others have been metaphorically hurt as well.
He opened his Saturday comedy show by stating, “I unequivocally denounce [the shooting], I don’t care what you think about that. Not funny. I’m sure that there will be jokes that people will make because they hate him so much that they wished it went he other way. Not for me.”
Maher then continued that Trump may be the political winner at the ballot box

Joe Biden’s escalating dementia and the long media-political conspiracy to hide his senility from the public are the least of the Democrats’ current problems. Biden’s track record as president may be more concerning than his cognitive decline. He has literally destroyed the U.S. border, deliberately allowing the entry of more than 10 million illegal aliens. His callous handlers’ agenda was to import abjectly poor constituencies in need of vast government services without regard for the current struggles of a battered American middle class and poor.

If you want to know just how dire the federal government’s fiscal situation is, consider the fact that interest on the national debt for the first time now tops every other spending category but one, according to the latest monthly report from the Treasury. This “achievement” has been brought to you by President Joe Biden.
According to the report, the federal government spent $682 billion in “net interest” payments so far this fiscal year (which ends Sept. 30). That’s more than all the money spent on “health” ($670 billion), national defense ($644 billion), and income security — which includes payments to the poor ($508 billion).

There’s little we can add to make the case that David Frum — the left’s favorite “Republican” — is a detestable human being that he doesn’t provide himself in his 1,500-word screed written in the immediate wake of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
In it, he blames Trump for the bullet that came within millimeters of killing him and the others that killed and injured attendees at Saturday’s rally, while completely and totally ignoring the viciousness and violence perpetrated by the left — not just against Trump, but against all Republicans, including the guy he used to work for, George W. Joe Biden is so tired from his little trip to Michigan that he had to deliver his remarks on the failed assassination attempt on Donald Trump in two parts. Was this done to make it seem like this White House is busy? Were there even prepared remarks, given how this White House staff is demoralized, incompetent, and beyond third-rate? It wouldn’t shock me if the White House staff couldn’t muster to put anything on paper, as they’re filled with extreme animosity toward the former president and likely hoped Trump got killed in private.

Before I start, I will acknowledge that most people on either side of the political divide are rightly outraged and concerned about Saturday’s assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump. Unfortunately, there are plenty of left-leaning members of the chattering class who are doing their very best to spin the incident in a way that advances their agenda.
Shortly after footage of the shooting went viral on social media, leftists on various social media platforms began immediately pretending that the shooting was staged to help Trump’s campaign. In fact, there were so many floating this lie that the term “staged” was trending on X.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump was nearly assassinated last night during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, by a 20-year-old Democrat donor named Thomas Matthew Crooks.
Trump immediately grabbed his neck after being shot while bleeding profusely from his ear. Video recordings of the scene also show Trump ducking down immediately after the initial gunshots were heard.
Secret Service agents promptly shielded Trump and guided him away from further harm. Despite being injured, a defiant Trump raised his fist and yelled “Fight!” multiple times toward the crowd.

Some thoughts on the attempted assassination of former president Donald Trump. First, regarding the Secret Service. It is all well and good that the agents at the scene reacted as trained and instantly covered and shielded the former president with their bodies, willingly accepting the possibility of being mortally wounded in the interest of protecting Donald Trump. However, that type of response indicates an abject failure of the protective mission. It seems that only a providential head turn to the right saved Donald Trump’s life.

In the aftermath of an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, foreign countries are coming out against the Biden Administration for provoking the attack. Russia accused the Biden White House of inciting violence by creating an “atmosphere” of opportunity for such an attack.

We've been reporting on the witnesses and videos of the shooter on the roof at the Trump rally.
A witness told the BBC that he saw him for multiple minutes — he estimated five minutes — on the roof as people were pointing him out and telling the police. But now there's new video that corroborates what the witness said. It is also incredibly frustrating as people on the ground spot the guy, allegedly Thomas Crooks, crawling around on the roof with the rifle, and the people shout about it and point him out for almost a minute,

It’s hard for me to convey just how angry I am at Joe Biden right now.
