New York—With three months to go before the Iowa caucuses that he has staked his campaign on, former Vice President Mike Pence faces mounting debt and lagging poll numbers that are forcing questions about not only whether he will qualify for the next debate, but whether it makes sense for him to remain in the race until then.
Pence ended September with just $1.18 million left in his campaign account, a strikingly low number for a presidential contest and far less than his rivals, new filings show. His campaign also has $621,000 in debt — more than half the cash he had remaining — and is scrambling to meet donor thresholds

“No evidence” was the liberal media’s communal cry when House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) and the other Republicans on the committee exposed the Biden family’s web of shell companies that were allegedly used to take in money for corrupt means. The media proclaimed it didn’t mean anything because it supposedly wasn’t linked to President Biden directly. But on Friday, after Comer revealed direct payments to Biden, the liberal broadcast networks ignored it.
Instead of reporting on Comer’s latest revelation, ABC’s World News Tonight spent over a minute (1:08) gushing about Lady Gaga singing with The Rolling Stones. CBS Evening News found rain in the northeast to be more important.

The justices said they would hear arguments in a lawsuit filed by Louisiana, Missouri and other parties accusing administration officials of unconstitutionally squelching conservative points of view.
The new case adds to a term already heavy with social media issues.Justices Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch and Clarence Thomas would have rejected the emergency appeal from the Biden administration.

The U.S. budget deficit increased 23 percent to $1.7 trillion, an increase of $320 billion, in the year after the Biden administration pushed through the Inflation Reduction Act which it claimed would close the government’s funding gap.
The explosive growth in the deficit came as revenue fell $457 billion from a year ago and expenses decreased by just $137 billion. Total spending for the year came in at $6.134 trillion. Spending would have been higher if the Supreme Court had not declared Biden’s student loan forgiveness program illegal. The deficit adds to the U.S. debt total, which the government said earlier this week had reached $33.6 trillion.

Joe Biden on Friday welcomed President Charles Michel of the European Council and President Ursula von der Leyen of the European Commission to the White House for the US-EU Summit in the Cabinet Room.
Biden just couldn’t help himself. He just had to tell one of his favorite lies about the time he awarded his uncle Frank a Purple Heart for his actions during the Battle of the Bulge.
This time Biden claimed he was a US Senator when he awarded his uncle with a Purple Heart.
This never happened. There is no record of this ever happening. Biden is a pathological liar.

President Joe Biden’s deputies are asking Congress for $14 billion extra to help bus illegal migrants up to the U.S. border and onward into hotels in many cities and towns around the nation.
The request is being touted as “border security” even though very few funds would be used to exclude economic migrants. For example, Biden’s deputies have ushered more than 300,000 economic migrants through the U.S. border in September alone. The 2023 inflow has added up to roughly 2.5 million, not counting legal migrants and temporary workers.
Instead, much of the requested money would be used to help more job-seeking migrants reach the U.S. border, register and release them

The federal budget deficit rose to $1.7 trillion in fiscal 2023, according to data released Friday by the Treasury Department.
The gulf between how much money the federal government spent and made in revenue rose by $320 billion between fiscal 2023 — which ended September 30 — and the previous fiscal year. The fiscal 2023 budget deficit was equal to 6.3 percent of U.S. gross domestic product (GDP), up from 5.4 percent in fiscal 2022.
Biden administration officials attributed to spike in the deficit to a steep drop in federal revenue, which rose sharply during rapid economic rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The failure of the U.S. intelligence community has three components: 1) It has become politically charged and lost focus on its mission protecting Americans, instead engaging in partisan politics. 2) It continues to focus on technological intelligence collection rather than the difficult and risky world of human intelligence collection. 3) It continues to suffer from a lack of creativity in anticipating and understanding the new threats being developed by our enemies. There is little doubt that the Intelligence Community has become seriously politicized. In 2016-2017, its leaders and the FBI undermined the incoming President Donald Trump by raising the specter of Russian influence over Trump.

This is the last article of a 10-part series that J. Christian Adams and I started over six months ago to expose the radical curricula of the top 10 law schools as rated by U.S. News & World Report last year.
UMich is just as bad as the other schools, if not worse. If you want to spend almost $100,000 a year to turn your son or daughter into a radical, America-hating extremist whose goal is to bring down our republic, particularly our supposedly white supremacist legal system, then Ann Arbor is the place to go.
None of this is surprising given the recent news about student organizations

California Gov. Gavin Newsom says he plans to make a one-day trip to Israel to meet some of those affected by the war.
The Democratic governor will arrive in Israel tomorrow and will depart the same day. The announcement by Newsom’s office did not specify where the governor would go.
His office says California will send medical supplies to the region, including to the Gaza Strip. California is home to the largest population of Arab Americans in the United States, according to the Arab American Institute. It also has the second largest populations of Jews in the US,…

There are a lot of interesting responses in the United States to the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel. Clearly, the most rational is to be outraged at the rape, kidnapping, and murder of Israeli civilians perpetrated by so-called soldiers of Islam. They are not soldiers or freedom fighters at all; they are savages unbound by any sense of military discipline or duty to the Palestinian people. If they were soldiers, they would consider Israel’s potential responses and the resulting damage to infrastructure and civilian casualties before launching such a cruel attack. We are very right to be outraged.

The bogus victimhood is bottomless. Because grievance is the coin of their realm, and because many of them are incapable of arguing any other way, it should be unsurprising to see figures like Rashida Tlaib and various other Hamas apologists and anti-Semites claim that somehow they are the ones who've been wronged over the last two weeks. In a development that truly defies parody, Harvard students who signed an egregious, terrorism-justifying statement are now whining about the "bullying" they've experienced over the moral disgrace to which they signed their names.

Iran understandably believes it is riding relatively high.
It is flush with cash. It hints it almost has the bomb -- and might use it soon.
The Iranians are bragging about their new tyrannical allies like Russia and China. Iran boasts of now being the self-proclaimed leader of jihad on behalf of all Muslims. It gloats that it is feeding the Russian war machine by exporting its own drones.
Tehran proudly supplied and funded Hamas's savage murder of Jewish children in Israel.
It eggs on its other pawn, Hezbollah, to launch a reputed 100,000 Iranian-supplied missiles into Israel.

The Georgia police officer who shot a recently exonerated man during a traffic stop in Georgia was once fired for excessive use of force. Camden County Sheriff's deputy Buck Aldridge killed unarmed Leonard Cure, 53, after pulling him over on the I-95 on Monday.
Cure had been freed after spending 16 years in prison for a wrongful armed robbery conviction and was unarmed at the time of the stop for speeding. Bodycam footage showed him lashing out after being tasered by Aldridge. The footage then shows the officer shooting Cure as he was lying on the ground.

How many times have we heard that wind power, coupled with the sun’s energy, is going to save us from our fossil-fuel burning ways? Maybe one day it will. But at no time soon will it happen. And by soon, we mean in most of our lifetimes.
How can we say this? Look around at what’s happening with wind energy:
“California’s Central Coast residents work to stop — or at least slow down — offshore wind.” California believes that by 2045 it can operate its electrical grid without contributions from fossil fuels and nuclear energy. To get there, one-fourth of the power must be generated by offshore wind. This CalMatters report,

Just a few generations ago, most Americans understood that George Orwell’s classics Animal Farm and 1984 were written as a warning about how freedom is lost to the tyranny and intolerance of totalitarianism.
Animal Farm and 1984 were particularly apt for teaching young people at a time when the shocking revelations about Nazism and Soviet communism that were coming out in the 1950s and 1960s were hard to digest. Most important, what these works revealed was that a defining feature of totalitarianism is mind control. First, propaganda warps and destroys people’s grasp on reality

There was a mainstream media race to the bottom recently, and The New York Times was the ringleader. The consequences were immediate, terrible, and may be felt for years to come.
Announcing the horrifying news of an explosion at a hospital in Gaza, the Times made a series of deliberate and unconscionable choices that contorted the story, and in a way that may have contributed to lost lives. Their headline "Israeli Strike Kills Hundreds in Hospital, Palestinians Say" is abominable journalistic malpractice. Think of the editorial decisions involved here:

The US Army has charged defector Travis King with several offenses including desertion for sprinting into North Korea in July — as well as the solicitation of child pornography and other crimes dating back to at least last year.
The wide-ranging case against King, who spent over two months in the custody of North Korean law enforcement, includes eight distinct charges under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, according to court records obtained by Reuters.
The Army claims the private had the intention of abandoning his military duties permanently when he ditched his South Korean post by running across the demilitarized border into the totalitarian country.

As my colleague Bob Hoge reported, Joe Biden's speech on Israel and Ukraine on Thursday night was a complete mess. He was requesting aid for Israel, Ukraine, and the Palestinians in Gaza.
He started not being aware that the was live on the air, so there was this awkward pause. But that's typical Joe; he always seems to have some difficulty.
I'm not sure what he thought he would achieve with the speech. I think he was trying to use the support for Israel to bootstrap a comparison to Ukraine, to try to justify why we should support both, but they're not the same. And in the case of Hamas,

The surprise victory in Louisiana’s open gubernatorial primary for Governor-Elect Jeff Landry (R-LA) on Saturday is an encouraging sign for Republicans heading into the 2024 elections, GOP insiders tell Breitbart News.
Landry, who is currently the Bayou State’s attorney general and had the endorsement of former President Donald Trump, won the open primary with a nearly 52 percent majority on Saturday night. In other words, he won the governorship outright without having to face another rival in a November runoff.
The Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate reports a significant factor in Landry’s victory was a low turnout, the likes of which had not been seen in a decade,

California’s 33-year-old law banning assault weapons is unconstitutional, violating the right to bear arms, a federal judge declared Thursday.
US District Judge Roger Benitez pointed to the Second Amendment’s right to “keep and bear arms” and the Supreme Court’s 2022 ruling in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen, which established that gun restriction measures must be “consistent with this nation’s historical tradition of firearm regulation” in ruling against California’s assault weapons ban.
“Like the Bowie Knife which was commonly carried by citizens and soldiers in the 1800s, ‘assault weapons’ are dangerous, but useful,” Benitez wrote in his 79-page decision.

(Pregnancy Help News) – It just takes one. One commercial could make a difference with Issue 1 in Ohio. An ad shedding light on the ugly truths in late term abortion in Ohio is gaining steam as it airs through Election Day.[Snip]A quote from Dr. Martin Haskell, an Ohio abortion doctor interviewed by American Medical News (the official newspaper of the American Medical Association) stated 80 percent of late term abortions in Ohio are “purely elective,” while the other 20 percent are for genetic reasons.[Snip]Voting “no” will set a stance for other red states considering such an issue.
