GOP Speaker nominee Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) on Friday said he would try again to break the two-week-long Speaker stalemate that has plunged the chamber into chaos.
“Our plan this weekend is to get a Speaker elected to the House of Representatives as soon as possible so we can help the American people,” Jordan said when asked what his plan is for the weekend. The Ohio Republican scrapped plans to hold a third vote on his bid Thursday after opponents came out of a meeting saying they would maintain their resistance to him and at least two lawmakers who voted for him previously said they would switch their votes.

Feckless RINO's continue to hold the USA hostage to their 'wishy washy' leadership!!

The world could be on the cusp of WW3 and the Republicans are acting like middle school children. Are the Republicans so removed from reality they do not realize the damage they are doing?

The world is still turning and hasn't affected anyone I know. Point is, this shows how useless government really is!!

I can’t believe the nerve of the holdouts. They accuse Jordon of putting himself before country. Hey Morons everyone but you are voting for him. It is you who need to do the right thing. For Gods sake consider the danger you are putting the country in. You are an embarrassment. We already have Biden in charge of making us look stupid and weak and not to be trusted. We don’t need your help.

if one of these RINO's represent your district, call them and respectfully ask them to articulate why they are not backing Jordan. Make sure you're respectful and make sure tyhey give you an answer.

All of this further shows how deeply the entrenched "deep state" is. It's easy to talk about how corrupt the Democrats are . . . the Republicans are as corrupt as they are. Really, really a sad, sad time for our country.

Already did, #5. Don Bacon from NE doesn’t represent my district; Adrian Smith, an ardent conservative and all-round good guy, does. So, I borrowed my son’s address and sent Rep. Bacon some strongly worded “advice.” Like Ben Sasse and Chuck Hagel before him, he has no idea how unpopular he is in the state. I honestly think he may be finished.

McCarthy lost his speakership because he broke his promises.
We can blame Matt Gaetz all we want to, but the bottom line is we’re finally seeing some accountability in the House of Representatives. I like that.
This article is from The Hill. We’re not gonna get any useful information out of it. They just want to push the narrative that the world is going to come to an end, because Republicans are in agreement yet.

I was hoping for Jordan before McCarthy won and he's still my number one choice. These idiot RINOs sat behind Pelosi all these years and they think Jordon is to radical? Give me a break.

A few more GOP Reps turned on Jordan this round. It's not a good trend. They will probably need to nominate somebody else. Was Scalise so bad or are the grudges so bad that they can't all get behind him now? He seems like a solid enough choice to me, and it seemed like most of the No votes were "but I want Jim Jordan instead" votes, and so if Jordan gives up, maybe Scalise can get to Yes.

I have a feckless democrat putz as my Congress weasel so I have no dog in this fight. I do however have relatives who are MAGA who still live in the district I used to live in that used to be represented by the awesome Thelma Drake in VA. Now that neocon Jen Kiggans the rep and is against Jordan as Speaker. She's gotten letters and phone calls from my relatives to get her act together. She beat Pelosi puppet Elaine Luria in 2022 and last time I checked is still voting for RINO McCarthy.

Well, #2, if it were not for Trump and the VERY few with testosterone like Gaetz, majority of party-oriented Pubbies would never have been shaken awake! Now they see what MAGA conservatives have seen for awhile. Most care about MONEY - theirs not yours.

Sick to death of this clown show. If the GOP can’t get it together, we’re going to end up with Hakeem Jefferies as Speaker, or worse. If you want to throw a bomb into the middle of your Congressional delegation, Rep. Gaetz, at least have a plan for cleaning up the mess it makes. It’s not just Biden that looks weak. I say, toss them all out and start over with citizen representatives as the Founders intended, 99% of career politicians are charlatans.

200 votes in round 1, 199 in Round 2, apparently 194 today. This represents a trend.

How about no speaker until the 2024 election... maybe that would cut the deficit... just send them all home and make them explain that maybe we ought to take a break from gov't for 5 years... and for individual Americans to simply lock and load... and go about our business.

Not up to Jordan anymore, the UniParty GOP House finished him off with a secret ballot vote.

Wouldn't it be great if the Republicans fought against the Democrats as hard as they fight against each other?
