There was a mainstream media race to the bottom recently, and The New York Times was the ringleader. The consequences were immediate, terrible, and may be felt for years to come. Announcing the horrifying news of an explosion at a hospital in Gaza, the Times made a series of deliberate and unconscionable choices that contorted the story, and in a way that may have contributed to lost lives. Their headline "Israeli Strike Kills Hundreds in Hospital, Palestinians Say" is abominable journalistic malpractice. Think of the editorial decisions involved here:

The New York Times has been practicing this type of journalistic propaganda for many years but this outright lie about Israel scrapes the bottom. A glaring trend in the supporters of islamic terrorism is the selective habit of including Hamas in the group known as Palestinians and then defining them as separate bodies when it is convenient. On the plains of Africa, you can distinguish the Black Mamba from the general family of cobras but both will inject their poison into your body with the same fatal result.

I would like to hear the Slimes explanation for this paragraph in the article: ''Did I mention that they put the headline over a gruesome photo of a bombed-out building? A building that was somewhere else entirely, not associated with the hospital, and that was just an available and sensational image intended to amp up readers? Why not deepfake a mushroom cloud?'' And then there are those idiots that think anything in the Slimes is the Gospel.

Here comes Matt Robinson, trying desperately to regain some semblance of respectability. Except for the part where he veered of course just to bash FOXNews, it was presentable and a reasoned article. Very probably his first!

In their rush to take God out of their lives, whether personally or professionally, these people forget or ignore the Ninth Commandment. The commandment tells us “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor" and when a person does not live in God's ways, bearing false witness is not on their agenda.

The juxtaposition of the Department of Justice’s handling of Hunter Biden with its outrageous treatment of Donald J. Trump justifies Scott Adams's view: "We can now see all of the machinery of government, from influence peddling to fake news to intel-supported hoaxes to political persecutions.” Diving even deeper, as have Jonathan Turley, James Freeman, Dan Bongino, and David Samuels, it’s beginning to look as if Barack Obama knew of Hunter’s corruption and the danger it posed to national security and did nothing about it. In exchange, he’s serving a third term as president behind the scrim while the demented present officeholder serves as a front.

The Biden administration is gearing up to investigate the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank, which was the 16th-largest bank in the United States before it went under after a run on the bank last week. The Justice Department is in the early stages of investigating SVB's failure, Fox News has confirmed. The news was first reported by the Wall Street Journal, which said the Securities and Exchange Commission is also investigating. These inquiries may or may not lead to charges or allegations of wrongdoing and are typical of the government's response after a big company reports massive, unexpected losses. CORRECTION*

Before epilepsy was understood to be a neurological condition, people believed it was caused by the moon, or by phlegm in the brain. They condemned seizures as evidence of witchcraft or demonic possession, and killed or castrated sufferers to prevent them from passing tainted blood to a new generation. Today we know epilepsy is a disease. By and large, it’s accepted that a person who causes a fatal traffic accident while in the grip of a seizure should not be charged with murder. That’s good, says Stanford University neurobiologist Robert Sapolsky. That’s progress. But there’s still a long way to go.

This time, 25 Republicans voted against Jordan, who boasts the support of former President Donald Trump. Twenty-two voted against him in the previous vote.
