A now-deleted Facebook post by a staffer of Mississippi's lone Democrat congressman appeared to support the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump on Saturday. The deleted post by Jacqueline Marsaw, a field director for U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Mississippi, said "I don't condone violence but please get you some shooting lessons so you don't miss next time ooops [sic] that wasn't me talking." The Mississippi Republican Party's X account said Thompson should "FIRE his field director for condoning the attempted assassination of President @realDonaldTrump !!!" The post also said state Democrats "must repudiate these despicable statements."

Comments:

This was an angry black female posting that. She needs to be unemployed, immediately. And a friend who fought in the Belgian Army in the Congo told me years ago, "In a firefight against these guerillas we learned to shoot the women first. They were the most dangerous."

So we have to tone down the rhetoric. But just Republicans, right? And if we're going to pull Secret Service protection away from anyone convicted of crimes, does that include Hunter Biden's protection also? Don't think the congressman has thought this out.

The uspoken message from democrat leaders and media is as clear as a bell: This happened because of President Trump’s rhetoric. Saw the end of an interview in ABC w/George Stephanopolous and a man I did not know. The man made the point of saying that the rhetoric needs to be tamped down and finished with: “So, we’ll see what happens in Milwaukee this week.”

Democrats and their supporters are evil. I do not know one person who supports Trump who wishes for death or harm to come to a democrat. Why can't the left stop demonizing Trump long enough to realize they are the ones who have caused this problem with their 24/7 demonization of a person who is running for office. They have smeared him and his family with lies, tried to imprison him with bogus made-up charges. They call him Hitler; Mussolini and say if elected, it will end democracy. Biden said Trump has a bull's eye on him. Those things did not work so they are encouraging the next level which is assassination. Some democrat members in congress have voiced an attempt to take away his secret service support. No one can convince me this attempt at murder is not the fault of democrats.

Events may have overtaken Biden's now widely known cognitive issues. What you can readily take away from past assassination attempts is the empathy factor. None of the major networks (except Fox) regularly carry Trump rallies. This is likely to change after the near assassination of President Trump. Merely the optics of Trump, wounded but defiant, standing beneath an American flag and railing against a lone gunman, already dead but who thought he would rid the planet of Trump, is a harbinger of a November win. By that act, Thomas Matthew Crooks will be recorded by history in one of several ways: misguided, crazy, a true believer

"There’s a specific scientific term for this kind of (very unusual) man—you know, the kind of man that gets shot, gets up the next morning, and goes golfing," he added.

The right-leaning media and pundits are excited: Marine Le Pen’s party gained twice as many seats in recent French elections. The left-leaning media and commentariat are thrilled, too: Le Pen’s right-wing party won the popular vote but landed only third place in the French National Assembly. If both sides of the political spectrum are so enthusiastic, it could mean only one thing: something is missing here. The answer lies most likely in conflating two different political spectra: absolute and relative. Since Stalin proposed the modern relative political spectrum, it garnered popularity, and members of the Frankfurt School of socialism brought it to American soil.

The COVID shot was put on trial in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and coming from California the result might surprise you. Three of four judges agree it was never a “traditional vaccine” and therefore could not legally be mandated. The case was against the Los Angeles Unified School District (“LAUSD”) that “required employees to get the COVID-19 vaccination or lose their jobs.” While this case was making its way thru the courts, LAUSD was playing Hokey-Pokey with their policy on “vaccination” which didn’t play well in their litigation strategy, as it allowed the case to be kept alive rather than becoming moot.

The behavior of the current U.S. administration toward Iran, in continuation of the policies of the Obama administration, has been appeasement on a monumental scale. That's evident in the financial tribute facilitated and released to Iran; the lack of effective action to circumscribe Iran’s expansion of its influence in the Middle East; the failure to counter effectively Iran’s terrorism against America and its friends in the region; the failure to curb Iran’s development of a nuclear arsenal; and the failure to arrest Iran’s development of short and long range missiles to deliver those weapons, not only against targets in the Middle East, but also against targets in Europe and America.

At the debate, NewsNation reported that Trump said: “Social Security … he’s destroying it because millions of people are pouring into our country and they’re putting them onto Social Security,” Trump said. “They’re putting ‘em onto Medicare and Medicaid. Law enforcement officials admitted it was “surprising” how the gunman was able to get so many shots off in the attempted assassination on former President Donald Trump before he was taken out by Secret Service snipers. During a press conference early Sunday, officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pennsylvania State Police deferred several questions about security to the Secret Service — who were notably absent. When asked if he was surprised at the number of shots the gunman was able to take at a former president, Kevin Rojek, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office, said:

The gunman who attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump Saturday was identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, sources told The Post. Crooks, of Bethel Park, Pa., squeezed off shots — one of which grazed Trump in the ear — at an outdoor rally in Butler, just outside Pittsburgh. Sources said Crooks was planted on a roof of a manufacturing plant more than 130 yards away from the stage at Butler Farm Show grounds. He was killed by Secret Service snipers. An AR-style rifle was later recovered. Bethel Park is a village 40 miles south of where the Butler rally was held. Why Crooks fired on the presumptive Republican presidential nominee is unclear.

BUTLER, Pa. — The Secret Service blamed local police for failing to secure the rooftop from which gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump, insisting it was outside the perimeter the federal agency was tasked with protecting. Instead, securing and patrolling the factory grounds of AGR International Inc. — located about 130 yards from the stage where Trump was speaking Saturday — was the responsibility of local Pennsylvania police, Secret Service representative Anthony Gugliemi said, according to the New York Times.
