There’s only one right response to the
Trump shooting

I was boarding a plane from Los Angeles back home to Philadelphia when the news hit that former President Donald Trump had been injured during a rally in Butler, Pa. The details were sketchy, but the responses online and on the plane were already wild — and entirely predictable. [SNIP] But the only response here isn’t to make Trump a god or a goat: It is to declare, once and for all, that we will finally stop pledging our allegiance to guns more than to one another.

Comments:

LIberals being very stupid. Call Trump Hitler for 8 years then blame guns. Outrageous! Expect more and more idiocy like this over the next hours and days. This is the same newspaper who called on Trump to "leave the race" after the debate that showed the true Biden. Unbelievable.

Now come the entirley predictable leftist attempts to blame it on the gun and not the shooter. Pay no attention to the hateful and violent vitriol directed towards Trump by the same leftists. No. We see what you're doing now and we saw what you were doing leading up to this. Preaching violence towards the man before the fact and now crying crocodile tears afterwards while you try to blame anything and everything except yourselves. No. We see what you're doing and we don't believe you.

The shooter was a psychopath who used a gun to commit a crime and to indimidate; law-abiding gun owners abide by the law (look! its built into the definition, you idiot!). Yet another Leftist rag that no longer hosts reader comments to the tripe they publish. This started on C-SPAN during the Clinton impeachment, when viewer calls were 10-1 anti-Clinton. So the toads at C-SPAN set up a Democrat Line and a Republican Line, to guarantee the illusion that America was equally split on the issue. This was followed by the complete elimination of viewer comments on Leftist propaganda sites.

I was on a tour and a person asked "Was he killed?". When the reply was "S***". THIS is what is wrong with America and the biggest threat, an insane Left that sees things like this as OK. Put a weapon in their hands and they are perfectly happy to use it to kill someone. Violence, like rioting, burning, vandalism, assault, and murder are legitimate tools to them. Only the threat of an armed public, someone who can fight back, holds them in check. That makes them COWARDS and bullies.

Guns aren't necessary. Mobs could use pallets of brick conveniently left. Frozen water bottles are, I'm sure, deadly if used correctly. And there's fire. and where you aren't killing people, looting kills livelihoods. As to Trump and his vileness? Where did his supporters burn businesses? Loot? Confront, attack, and kill cops? How many statues did they pull down or deface? Hey, I'll stop here. You know the list. 'Violence on both sides' is one of the biggest gaslights in history.

Predictable Press...HE HAD AN AR15! Bann Them!! as at EVERY shooting.. also at EVERY shooting..They run pictures and film of a massive police/FBI/Secret Service.. EVERY GOOD GUY is carrying an AR 15. From the federal level, to the state to the local levels, Govt has spent $BILLIONS of Dollars and man hours, investigating testing, comparing, studying every weapons type and system ever invented...anywhere...and have near universally concluded. "To deal with crime and criminals, the varied and various threats we respond to in service and protection of the American People...and of our own officers. By Far and away the very BEST weapons systems for that service and protection is the AR style modern rifle system, whether for long range, mid range, or close quarters response to imminent threats, coupled with a semi automatic sidearm, with a high capacity magazine(and several spares)" When the antigun Left INSISTS that average citizens should be blocked from having these weapons systems, what they are saying is that the average citizen does not DESERVE what their tax monies and own Govt has determined was the BEST tool to respond the the calls that those very citizens make for help. It is not The Badge, or the loud siren that stops a crime, it is the weapons system that vehicle and cop brings to the location where it is needed. The citizens and victims are ALREADY there, can solve the problem faster.Several years ago there was a comaprative study done on mass shooting deaths...when cops responded and stopped one the average was 11 lives lost, when someone on the scene with a weapon fought back then only 2.5 deaths...one of which was almost always the perp.

In a plot fit for an Indiana Jones film, Nazi U-boats once ferried saboteurs to the United States, dropping them off in rubber dinghies along the East Coast under cover of darkness. Their mission was dubbed “Operation Pastorius” and targets included factories, plants, and rail lines — namely Altoona’s famous “Horseshoe Curve,” a railroad engineering marvel built in 1854 vital to the U.S. shipments of steel, medicine, rations, and even troops. The saboteurs, who landed in Long Island and Jacksonville, Fla., had also set their sights on Newark’s Penn Station and a cryolite metals plant in Philadelphia.

Law enforcement officials admitted it was “surprising” how the gunman was able to get so many shots off in the attempted assassination on former President Donald Trump before he was taken out by Secret Service snipers. During a press conference early Sunday, officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pennsylvania State Police deferred several questions about security to the Secret Service — who were notably absent.
