The Bitter Fruit of American Appeasement
of Iran

Original Article

Posted By: DVC, 7/12/2024 1:49:18 PM

The behavior of the current U.S. administration toward Iran, in continuation of the policies of the Obama administration, has been appeasement on a monumental scale. That's evident in the financial tribute facilitated and released to Iran; the lack of effective action to circumscribe Iran’s expansion of its influence in the Middle East; the failure to counter effectively Iran’s terrorism against America and its friends in the region; the failure to curb Iran’s development of a nuclear arsenal; and the failure to arrest Iran’s development of short and long range missiles to deliver those weapons, not only against targets in the Middle East, but also against targets in Europe and America.

Comments:

I am convinced that Obama INTENDED to assist Iran in gaining power and developing nuclear weapons. Not an error, not a mistake, intentionally helping Islamic fanatics to gain power.

Remember, when Obama was elected President, one of the first things he said was that he was going to fundamentally change America. All of us thought he meant he would make us communist. Now we know he meant to make America a smoking ruin.

America hating leftists consider anything that makes America safer or gives unmatched or unopposable military power in the hands of the US government as destabilizing world peace and world order. Remember how bitterly Jean Fraud Kerry fought Reagan's Starwars technology or weapons being funded?

At some point, likely in the near future, we need a president who is not afraid to use, not simply threaten the use of, nuclear weapons against Iran. It'll be either nuke or be nuked.

Ford Recalls 20,000+ Hybrid SUVs over
Battery Concerns

The Ford Motor Co is recalling 20,484 hybrid crossover SUVs over battery concerns that could potentially lead to a fire, documents lodged with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) set out. The recall covers 16,480 Escape and 4004 Lincoln Corsair plug-in-hybrid SUVs from model years 2020 to 2024. In documents filed with the NHTSA, the automaker said the problem occurred in manufacturing, and resulting “microdefects and local stresses” could cause the high-voltage battery cell’s separator layer to become damaged, leading to a short circuit and potentially, a fire. The NHTSA filing explained in detail:
Jimmy Carter: His image vs. the reality

As a young freelance journalist and photographer in Washington, D.C. in the mid-1970s, I covered Georgia Democrat Gov. Jimmy Carter’s successful campaign for the presidency in 1976. I was on the press bus when he campaigned in the primaries in Washington, D.C. and Maryland. I had press credentials to attend the Democrat National Convention in New York City in July [snip] What I have never forgotten in the almost half-century since then is how the reality I observed of Carter, as he dispatched his more well-known opponents on his ascent to the presidency, differed substantially from the carefully crafted image that helped to get him elected.
The rhetoric of gun violence 3 replies

For some years now we’ve been told words are violence. It’s a jarring assertion for Americans brought up on the axiom that sticks and stone may break their bones, but words can never hurt them. So, sticks, stones and words can break our bones? Our parents and relatives were lying to us? The center cannot hold. The trans “movement” goes a bit beyond that assertion with the certainty that the unexpressed thoughts of Normal Americans are a “trans genocide,” but that was a topic for another article. The Democrat/socialist/communist (D/s/c) left has always been the nearly exclusive manipulator of language. When one of their perfect, non-falsifiable policies fails

An Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash on Christmas Day has prompted speculation the plane was shot down by Russia after it took a detour of hundreds of miles in the wrong direction and crash-landed with holes in the fuselage. Russian military bloggers have suggested the plane, which crashed near the Kazakhstan city of Aktau, could have been mistaken for a Ukrainian drone. The incident, which killed at least 38 people and injured a further 29, took place after a significant detour, which could have been caused by GPS jamming.

Newscaster Lesley Stahl claims she “doesn’t know what to do” about the embarrassing demise of the legacy media. She was lamenting to her colleague, Peggy Noonan, that “we are at the point where even the president,” then corrected herself saying, “Elon Musk,” asserted that legacy media is dead. She appeared extremely worried, spilling her deepest concerns, in front of an empathetic audience gathered at the 92nd St. YMCA studio in New York. It was as if Stahl was having an out-of-body experience, where she failed to factor in herself, in accounting for the reason why audiences were abandoning network news in droves.
Are leftists mentally ill? 18 replies

Do people on the radical left demonstrate a mental disorder? Most people on the right roll their eyes at the hysteria and fears of the left, but what’s to be done? Given that there were major shifts on the left in the 2024 election, is it possible that somehow sanity is breaking through? With the ongoing polarization that has burdened this country, it’s worthwhile to examine the psychological framework of leftists; both how they see themselves and how they see others. The results may also indicate whether the changes in voting behavior might continue, or whether they were situational. A phrase that’s been coined is “Left-Wing Authoritarianism” (LWA)

Melanie Zanona, a senior congressional reporter with Punchbowl News reported that after leaving Johnson’s office, Vance stated the two men had a “productive conversation” and they were “in the middle of negotiations” over the continuing resolution (CR), but he was hopeful about solving some of the problems standing in the way. “VANCE says they had a ‘productive conversation’ after leaving the speaker’s office,

The network went viral last week with footage of the startled prisoner being led from the prison by journalist Clarissa Ward, who called it “one of the most extraordinary moments I have witnessed” in her 20 years of reporting. [snip]published a detailed report Sunday saying that the seemingly innocent prisoner was actually Salama Mohammad Salama — a first lieutenant in Syrian air force intelligence with a long history of alleged war crimes.

It was a moment I’ll never forget: Friday afternoon, November 15, 2019. After spending Veterans’ Day week in snowy, freezing Leavenworth, Kansas, I returned to Charlotte for a court appearance that morning in neighboring York County. I was talking to a friend on my cell phone, driving eastbound on Pineville-Matthews Road, when my phone beeped with an incoming call. The screen flashed: The White House. I pulled off the road into a Panera Bread parking lot and answered the call. It was the president’s military attaché. “Mr. Brown, I’m here with the president. The president wants to know if he has permission to call your client.”

Israel Hayom reported Sunday: A senior Hamas official currently based in Turkey told Saudi media that the 37th anniversary of the terrorist organization’s founding comes during a period of decline due to defeats in Gaza and the broader region. The official disclosed, “Hamas is suffering from a genuine leadership crisis. The Al-Aqsa Flood attack backfired on us, submerging us in a sea of blood and crises.

As we reported, he explained how Trump got the rise of new media and made use of that, that the legacy mainstream media was the "fringe" and the "fringe" was now the mainstream.

McCaskill said, “Well, today was certainly a bittersweet day. And, candidly, I’m bitter. I mean, I’m bitter that a higher political price wasn’t paid for what Donald Trump did on January 6. Something is broken and we need to acknowledge that. And the other thing we have to keep front of mind, Nicolle, is that Donald Trump didn’t win 50 percent of the votes. Bubonic plague is a severe infectious and potentially fatal disease caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis. It is the most common form of plague and is primarily spread through the bite of infected fleas that typically live on rodents. The disease, also known infamously as the Black Death, ravaged Europe from 1347 to 1351, causing between 75 million and 200 million deaths (which included about 50% of the total population in Europe at the time). Those horrifying numbers still grip the imagination. Now, in an intriguing development, COVID-19 vaccine scientists have developed a new shot that would protect against Yersinia pestis infections.

A majority of Americans—54 percent—believe Joe Biden will be remembered as a “below average” (37 percent) or “poor” (17 percent) president. In contrast, only 19 percent think he will be seen as “outstanding” (6 percent) or “above average” (13 percent). Meanwhile, 26 percent say he will be regarded as “average.”

For the last 4 years, Democrats, their media, and the Biden administration have lied thousands of times about who was responsible for the violence on January 6, 2021. Pelosi did this be banning the President Trump’s request for the National Guard troops at the Capitol that day. And, then on January 6, Nancy Pelosi stalled in calling in the National Guard until late in the afternoon. 2.) Capitol Police were ready, and eager

Canada is a lovely country with many lovely people. And while its federal government is dysfunctional and occasionally tyrannical when it comes to defending civil rights, it has much to offer. It has a well-educated populace with remarkably good manners, some fine educational institutions, and a largely functioning economy. I suggest that we only take half the country and leave the rest to sink or swim on its own. [snip] But then what? After all, this is a country that suffered under Justin Trudeau for nine years! Something must be wrong with it--at least with certain parts of Canada.
