On Thursday, as RedState reported, Queen Elizabeth II passed away at the age of 96. She lived a life fuller than most, standing as a symbol of hope and decency for the country she represented. The British monarch served in the Auxiliary Territorial Service during World War II before taking the throne in 1952 after the death of her father. Since then, she’s been the most prolific royal since Britain’s move to a constitutional and parliamentary system. No matter one’s thoughts on the idea of having a royal family, there’s no question she was beloved by her country and many others outside it.

Former Trump White House strategist Steve Bannon turned himself over to New York authorities Thursday, as he is expected to face state fraud charges related to the "We Build the Wall" fundraiser. Bannon is expected to be released on "no cash bail and surrender his passport," a source familiar with the case told Fox News. The charges are still under seal, and Fox News has learned that Bannon has not been told what they are yet. Bannon found out about the indictment a week ago when Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office called one of his lawyers to inform him.

Bitter divisions over politics and the pandemic have seeped into churches and led to increasing rates of job burnout among pastors, multiple clergy members and those who counsel them told Fox News Digital. "Our faith does not exempt us from anxiety, depression, temptation or COVID, so that's to be expected," said David Ferguson, executive director of the Great Commandment Network, which provides counseling initiatives to help pastors. "But in addition to that, we obviously are in a real divided, polarized, politicized world, where sadly at times pastors feel the pressure to take positions on every imaginable topic."

Because most people don’t know a farmer personally anymore, everyone should realize that they don’t make piles of money producing our food. A good year can be followed by three bad ones, and 2022 has been a burden. Between record heat waves in the U.S. and abroad, droughts in the middle of the country, fertilizer shortages, and rising costs for just about every farm input, many American farms are on the brink. Everyone will feel the pinch in continued food price increases and shortages at the store. As bad as the agricultural outlook is in America, it is far worse in Europe. Cast your mind back to Thanksgiving in 2020 and 2021, when J. Edgar Fauci was telling us that we could only have something like six people over for dinner, preferably eating outside, and all socially-distanced by at least twelve turkey-lengths, or 0.2 furlongs or something. Someone promptly produced a meme of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer saying, “No one is going to tell me how many people I can have for dinner on Thanksgiving!” Tasteless and sick, to be sure. Also pretty funny. And not really new. I remember that after the initial shock and horror of Dahmer’s crimes were discovered 25 years ago, the comics got to work with tasteless jokes

For decades the political left has called those on the political right fascists. Doing so is particularly de rigueur these days, with Joe Biden saying that Donald Trump supporters are semi-fascists, and then devoting an entire speech to trying to convince the nation that those who disagree with him and his party are threats to our republic. But it’s nothing more than another lie told to sustain the Democratic Party’s campaign to occupy America. Democrats have been calling their political opponents fascists since at least 1948, when Harry Truman said a Republican election win would pose a fascistic threat to America,

Although examples of such corruption now presently abound, few put on full display what’s at stake better than our government’s recent handling of the Ghislaine Maxwell matter.
