President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order Wednesday eliminating federal taxpayer benefits for illegal immigrants.
The order will direct all federal agencies to identify all federally funded programs currently providing any financial benefits to illegal immigrants and "take corrective action." The order is intended to ensure that any federal funds to states and localities "will not be used to support sanctuary policies or assist illegal immigration."
It will also mandate improvements in eligibility verification to prevent federal benefits from going to anyone in the U.S. illegally. The order will show that Trump is "committed to safeguarding federal public health benefits for American citizens

Democrats in Congress, led in large part by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), have been throwing all kinds of bizarre tantrums over President Donald Trump and Elon Musk looking to get to the bottom of government waste and fraud. It's no wonder that poll after poll, including today's latest Quinnipiac University poll, shows Democrats are facing record lows in their favorable/approval ratings. On Wednesday, Senate Democrats spoke to the press, where the minority leader was fittingly confronted about what Musk is finding, and what Democrats are crying about.

Want to know how DEI proliferated in corporate America, especially with federal contractors? Just follow the money ... while you still can.
Over the last several months, major American corporations have retreated rapidly from the progressive quota system in hiring and promotions, in virtue signaling as well. Earlier, I wrote about the financial industry hitting reverse on policies they adopted just a few years ago, presumably after discovering just how unpopular those turned out to be with Americans. Today, the Wall Street Journal reports that the Trump administration has ordered executive-branch agencies to no longer consider DEI compliance in contracting, removing the financial incentives from the rotten progressive structure:

Donald Trump has never been able to keep his mouth shut, and in the past, that has been a liability.
So far, in his second term, his ability to speak for hours has been a huge asset. Nature abhors a vacuum, and Donald Trump's willingness to explain in exhaustive detail what he and his team are doing has drowned out all the criticisms and attacks being aimed at him and his. Trump's remarkable success this term compared to his last isn't accidental or simply due to a vibe shift. It's not just that Americans are much more willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt and less willing

Europe has been warned, and warned again.
Still, it has been reduced to a near-fainting fit — and, in the case of one German official, actual tears — over the Trump administration’s tough words about its deficient military spending and its moves to begin negotiating on its own with Russia over the Ukraine war.
In response, French President Emanuel Macron called an emergency summit of European leaders, which his advisers insisted wasn’t an emergency summit at all, but merely a rapidly assembled informal meeting Whatever the nomenclature, there are signs that Europe is beginning to get the memo — or, more precisely, beginning to read a memo

In a bombshell revelation, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has exposed a shocking level of federal spending abuse, revealing that the U.S. government has over 4.6 million active credit cards in circulation, processing a staggering 90 million transactions worth nearly $40 billion in Fiscal Year 2024 alone.
DOGE, the new federal watchdog agency established under President Donald Trump, posted its findings on X on Tuesday, accompanied by a breakdown of federal agency expenditures.
“The US government currently has ~4.6M active credit cards/accounts, which processed ~90M unique transactions for ~$40B of spend in FY24. DOGE is working w/ the agencies to simplify the program and reduce admin costs –

NASA is on high alert for a “city-killer” asteroid that’s headed toward Earth — cuz they don’t wanna miss a thing.
The asteroid, called 2024 YR4, now has a 1.5% probability of hitting earth in 2032, according to NASA — and international agencies are feverishly working together to track the space rock and looking at how to blow it to smithereens if necessary.
“No one is panicking, but it’s definitely what we’re talking about in the hallways of NASA,” says a project manager at Kennedy Space Center.

On Wednesday, Quinnipiac University released a new poll, with this one coming less than a month after their late January poll. That poll, as Matt covered, showed the Democratic Party at an all-time unfavorable rating, 57-31 percent. Another poll, conducted February 13-17 with 1,039 registered voters, found more bad news, given how poorly congressional Democrats are perceived.According to the latest poll, Democrats in Congress have just a 22 percent approval rating, while 68 percent disapprove. Not only is that a record low, with Quinnipiac having asked such a question among registered voters since March 2009, but they're also facing heat form their own voters.

Elon Musk’s DOGE discovered that Joe Biden’s EPA awarded $2 billion to a firm linked to failed Democrat Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.
Even worse, the firm only reported $100 in revenue in its first three months in business in 2023.
How did a brand new firm that only reported $100 in revenue get awarded $2 billion??
Earlier this month Lee Zeldin, Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), provided an update to the money wasted on Biden’s watch in response to undercover video posted by Project Veritas in December.

The United States was born not just in rebellion against a distant monarch, but in revolt against tyranny itself. The Founding Fathers put their lives, property, wealth, and honor on the line to establish a great nation based on freedom, liberty, and self-governance. They faced impossible odds: the might of the British Empire, divisions among the colonies, and the entrenched moral and political questions raised by slavery — a practice that was already embedded in the economies of Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
Centuries later, many identify echoes of their struggles in Donald Trump’s battle against what he calls the “Deep State” and established global elites.

On multiple days this week, staunchly racist Sunny Hostin put herself on a pedestal above all Americans and proclaimed to be part of the superior racial demographic: black woman. During the Tuesday and Wednesday episodes of ABC’s The View, Hostin repeatedly praised herself and other black woman for how they “voted to save the country” by supporting Vice President Kamala Harris’s backup bid for president.
While co-host Joy Behar was falsely whining about Elon Musk personally going through her Social Security records and IRS filings, during Tuesday’s show, Hostin bloviated about how she was “resting” and letting others deal with politics

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reportedly asked Pentagon officials Tuesday to draw up plans to slash defense spending for each of the next five years — as the department became the latest target of the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) cost-cutting mission.
Hegseth, 44, demanded a proposal that would include annual 8% cuts to the Pentagon’s roughly $850 billion budget, according to a memo obtained by the Washington Post.
The defense secretary ordered senior Pentagon officials, top military commanders, and the directors of several defense agencies to draft plans for the proposed cuts by Feb. 24.

In possibly one of the funniest moments yet in the very short—yet fruitful—history of DOGE, CNN got an epic response to its Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request seeking information about Elon Musk's government security clearance: "Good luck with that."
CNN staffers submitted the request to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) asking "for records related to the security clearances of Musk and anyone from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) who has been granted access to sensitive or classified government networks." In return, they got an email telling them: “Good luck with that, they just fired the whole privacy team."

Last weekend French President Emmanual Macron organized an emergency meeting in Paris with leaders from the European Union to address the unfolding crisis of President Trump organizing a ceasefire and peace in the war between Ukraine and Russia.
The outcome of the meeting was what would be expected. Each member of the EU said they would not put their military forces into a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine if the United States were not leading the effort. Having previously warned the NATO alliance to step-up their military spending, President Trump has no intention of putting U.S. troops into a regional conflict that affects Europe.

“We were not invited to this Russian-American meeting in Saudi Arabia. It was a surprise for us. I don’t want any coincidences, so I’m not going to Saudi Arabia,” Zelensky said after a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara. By “coincidences,” Zelensky evidently meant that he did not want his planned visit to Saudi Arabia to be mistaken as an endorsement of the meetings held between U.S. and Russian diplomats in Riyadh this week.

Experts from Yale University have discovered an alarming syndrome linked to the mRNA Covid vaccines. The previously-unknown condition--which has been dubbed 'post-vaccination syndrome'-- appears to cause brain fog, dizziness, tinnitus and exercise intolerance. Some sufferers also show distinct biological changes, including differences in immune cells and the presence of coronavirus proteins in their blood, years after taking the shot. But the decentralized nature of the US' healthcare system makes it challenging to identify rare side effects and larger studies have failed to separate the symptoms suffered after Covid vaccination and background illnesses that would have occurred regardless.

President Donald Trump is well known for his America First agenda. Some have interpreted this as an isolationist stance of retreat from the world stage. If anything, the first few weeks have shown an energetic engagement on foreign policy. America First hasn’t meant disengagement with the world. Rather, it has meant taking seriously American foundational principles and believing those are core values that other nations will look up to when demonstrated proudly.
One of those fundamental American principles is free speech, and the Trump administration is making sure that the world sees America vigorously fighting for it.

What constitutes a Nazi, today? If you ask modern liberals and mainstream media, Elon Musk is Dr. Goebbels redivivus.
When the pro-Trump billionaire extended his right arm waving to the crowd at a Trump inauguration event, mainstream media went ballistic. Speculation was rampant: Had Elon Musk actually given a “Heil Hitler” salute? In Germany, the government and media are equally paranoid of Musk. His support of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party makes him a candidate for the “He must be a Nazi” grist mill. What is not spoken of (but definitely recognized by the government and media) is that AfD is now the second-biggest party in Germany.

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration, challenging its decision to suspend federal funding for refugee resettlement.
The move comes as part of President Donald Trump’s broader effort to realign American priorities—protecting the homeland first, rather than funding programs that facilitate unchecked migration.

The US Conference of Catholic Bishops has sued the Trump administration, asserting that President Trump's order suspending refugee grants was illegal and demanding millions in what it claims is owed to Catholic charities for work performed under the grant. The USCCB represents the leadership of the Catholic Church in the United States,
The suit, filed in U.S. District Court in the District of Columbia, names as defendants the State Department, the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration and the Department of Health and Human Services. It says the bishops have partnered with the U.S. government

Vice President JD Vance rattled a lot of cages with his speech to Eurocrats at the Munich Security Conference, scolding the leaders of allied countries for their crackdown on free speech and abandonment of bedrock Western values.
Vance also met with the leader of the German opposition AfD party which has been labeled as “far right” by the authoritarian left-wing extremists who have a political stranglehold on the continent, and the American stooges of the warmongering unelected EU bureaucrats are attacking the vice president for daring to speak the truth.

They updated their story, but the tweet says it all: the Associated Press, now banned from Air Force One and the Oval Office, tried to manufacture a narrative of chaos and incompetence regarding the Trump administration’s popular initiative to whittle down the federal bureaucracy through targeted spending cuts. The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has been the point of the lance in exposing waste and potential fraud.
So, the Associated Press decided to hurl this out on social media, which got slapped down by the Trump White House:
FAA staff fired over the weekend included personnel that worked radar, landing and navigational aid maintenance, among others.

President Trump signed an executive order Tuesday affirmatively pulled all the "independent" boards, commissions, and agencies that have proliferated since the Roosevelt administration under the management of the White House. The order, titled Ensuring Accountability for All Agencies – The White House, states, "For the Federal Government to be truly accountable to the American people, officials who wield vast executive power must be supervised and controlled by the people’s elected President."
In an informational document about the executive order, shared with The Washington Post, White House officials referred to “so called independent agencies,” citing the FTC, FCC and SEC as examples

Over the last year, I have been surprised to learn that in some quarters I am considered a “Never Trumper.” That is ridiculous: I have voted for Trump three times, and through the fall of 2024 I had a Trump sign in my front yard. I have commented on Trump’s actions many times, probably in the hundreds, and I would guess my assessments have been 85% positive. And I am wildly enthusiastic about the early days of Trump’s current administration, as Power Line readers know.
But: Trump’s recent actions with regard to Ukraine are hard to explain. They have caused great consternation in Europe (not, I know, the acid test).

A senior prosecutor at the Department of Justice quit rather than force a major bank to stop disbursing $20 billion in “climate change” funding to an array of left-wing groups flagged by new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin.
As Breitbart News reported last week, Zeldin discovered that the outgoing Biden administration had rushed $20 billion to the left-wing groups, via Citibank, last year before leaving office. Zeldin promised to recover the funds. But Denise Cheung, criminal division chief of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, DC, refused to order Citibank to stop disbursing the funds, saying that they had been legally allocated

In late January, the Idaho House of Representatives passed a memorandum calling on the U.S. Supreme Court to “reverse” its 2015 gay marriage decision, Obergefell v. Hodges, “and restore the natural definition of marriage, a union of one man and one woman.” The memo passed 46 to 24 in the House and is heading to the Idaho Senate. If it passes the senate, it will be sent on to the Supreme Court as one more formal encouragement that it take up a case that might overturn Obergefell.[Snip] Back in 2020, sitting justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito argued that the Obergefell decision should be overturned — or at least fixed.

On Friday, Vice President JD Vance gave a historic defense of free speech at the Munich Security Conference. In front of a clearly hostile assemblage of European diplomats, Vance confronted our allies with their systemic censorship as they demanded more support to “defend democracy.”
For the free speech community, it was akin to Ronald Reagan’s call: “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”
Vance questioned how our allies could claim to be the bastions of freedom while denying free expression to their citizens. He then delivered this haymaker: “If you are running in fear of your own voters, there is nothing America can do for you.

After President Donald Trump was elected, we published a semi-whimsical list of what would be “out” and “in” after his victory as the left instantly switched gears (“What’s In And What’s Out After Trump’s Stunning Victory”). On that list:
Out: The economy is doing great!
In: Why hasn’t Trump fixed the economy yet??
Over the weekend, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries proved us right.
“Donald Trump and Republicans consistently promised that they were going to lower the high cost of living, and they’ve done the exact opposite,” Jeffries said. “They’ve shown no interest in lowering costs in the United States

President Donald Trump has deported 14,470 migrants via Mexico, the country’s president confirmed Monday.
“Since January 20, 14,470 people have returned; 11,379 Mexicans and 3,091 [non-Mexican] foreigners,” President Claudia Sheinbaum told reporters, according to local media reports. The non-Mexican migrants are likely from Central American countries, such as Honduras or Guatemala. Some of those migrants are flown back to Mexico, but almost 500 a day are being returned across the border by the U.S. Border Patrol agency.

At Mar-a-Lago, President Donald J. Trump signed three executive orders, but his presser with the media was popcorn-worthy. The president promised last week to go through a slew of wasteful projects. Still, Trump brought the receipts since Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency have been the source of ire, inquiry, and anxiety for the media, the political class, and the DC elite.

Judge Rudolph Contreras, an Obama appointee, ordered President Trump to temporarily reinstate a Biden appointee to the Merit Systems Protection Board, an independent agency that adjudicates employment disputes involving civil service employees. “The Court concludes that Harris has established a strong likelihood of success on the merits, that irreparable harm is likely to occur in the absence of injunctive relief and that the public interest weighs in favor of enjoining Defendants’ actions,”

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s foundation hid past grants to leftist causes after its funding of lawfare groups opposing President Donald Trump surfaced.
When Natalie Winters, co-host of Steve Bannon’s War Room, posted that Zuckerberg gave nearly $2 billion to the leftist Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF) — which bankrolls the anti-Trump legal group Protect Democracy — the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative’s website listed more than 5,000 grants, many to leftist groups, from 2018 to June 2024. Soon after — on Feb. 14 — Zuckerberg’s foundation scrubbed its website, only listing 680 grants “from January 2024.”

The last bits of Joe Biden's legacy have met their unpleasant though well-deserved end on Tuesday, as a United States appeals court struck down the latest iteration of the Biden administration's ridiculous student load forgiveness scheme.
A U.S. appeals court ruled on Tuesday that Democratic former President Joe Biden's administration lacked authority to pursue a student debt relief program designed to lower monthly payments for millions of borrowers and speed up loan forgiveness for some.
The St. Louis-based 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sided with seven Republican-led states that sued to block the U.S. Education Department's program,

The U.S. Department of Education announced Monday it cut over $600 million in grants spent on training teachers in “social justice activism,” critical race theory, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) ideology.
The grants were used to fund institutions and nonprofits involved in training teachers on concepts like “anti-racism” and claims about white privilege and white supremacy. The grants also helped fund discriminatory staff recruiting strategies that targeted candidates based on their race.
“It’s hard to overstate how radical these teacher trainings are — we are talking about forcing teachers to talk about their race at work, asking educators to ‘take personal and institutional responsibility for systemic inequities,’ promoting abolitionist

A federal judge on Feb. 18 turned down a request from a group of state attorneys general to block the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from accessing data at seven government agencies, finding the states had not met the bar for relief.
“The court is aware that DOGE’s unpredictable actions have resulted in considerable uncertainty and confusion for Plaintiffs and many of their agencies and residents,” U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan wrote in a 10-page decision. “But the ‘possibility’ that defendants may take actions that irreparably harm plaintiffs ‘is not enough.’”

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) pledged to “simplify” the federal government’s credit card program on Tuesday which cost taxpayers nearly $40 billion last year.
“The US government currently has ~4.6M active credit cards/accounts, which processed ~90M unique transactions for ~$40B of spend in FY24,” read an X post from the cost-cutting initiative’s official account.
“DOGE is working w/ the agencies to simplify the program and reduce admin costs,” the group added. (Photo) DOGE said it “will report back in 1 week” with its plan to disentangle the system.

The final swing state had come in for Kamala Harris in the early morning of Nov. 6. With Pennsylvania’s 19 electoral votes, along with victories in Michigan and Wisconsin, the country’s first female president-elect pulled off an improbable victory over Donald Trump, winning the Electoral College 271-267.
“With this mandate, I’m here to ensure the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of the American people!” the president-elect ensured during her victory speech. For many pundits and pollsters, this hypothetical was a very real possibility going into Election Day. Forecasters from Nate Silver to Larry Sabato to FiveThirtyEight and pundits from Bill Kristol to James Carville to Joe Scarborough all had Harris winning.

We reported on a preview clip that was dropped from the interview that President Donald Trump and Elon Musk did with Fox's Sean Hannity. In that clip, the two made clear they spoke about the leftist tactic to try to separate them and break up the power team they've formed. Both Trump and Musk said they were aware of it, and the left would not succeed. They spoke about their relationship, which was clearly a mutual admiration society. Trump explained how impressed he was with what Musk did to save lives in North Carolina with Starlink, and the amazing things he's done, such as the ability SpaceX

It is often said that the future belongs to those who show up. And the most relevant way of showing up, is having children.
Anecdotally, it has been obvious for a long time that conservatives are more likely to have children than liberals, and apt to have more children. But the data are clear, and getting clearer: I think it is totally rational for liberals to respond to President Trump’s election by not having children. I encourage them to stand firm in that decision. And never forget global warming! Who can contemplate bringing into being a new generation, when the Earth might get warmer? While Donald Trump has made multiple excellent choices for his cabinet and agency heads, his choice for Labor secretary is opposed to a key part of his platform (making America prosperous) and is endorsed by the most woke, dictatorial, and radical of teacher union heads.
Lori Chavez-DeRemer's Senate confirmation hearings begin on Wednesday. The former Planned Parenthood employee and loyal union stooge needs to be replaced — Trump should never have chosen her. In fact, she’s an absolute gift to the most leftist and most corrupt unions. It is one thing to appeal to union membership, as Trump undoubtedly did in the last election, and another thing
