A federal judge on Feb. 18 turned down a request from a group of state attorneys general to block the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from accessing data at seven government agencies, finding the states had not met the bar for relief. “The court is aware that DOGE’s unpredictable actions have resulted in considerable uncertainty and confusion for Plaintiffs and many of their agencies and residents,” U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan wrote in a 10-page decision. “But the ‘possibility’ that defendants may take actions that irreparably harm plaintiffs ‘is not enough.’”

I think Chutkan realized that she was a bug flying down the highway, heading for a truck windshield and she didn't want to end up splattered all over it. In a hard look at the complaint, she realized that it was VERY weak. She also is aware she is flitting around the Constitutional limits on her authority. Her rulings would quickly be up before the SCOTUS and it would be very likely that she, and others who tend to think as she does, would be slapped down HARD, and with great finality. She figured it was not worth dying on this hill. But this is also a signal to other activist judges. The jig is up. Trump is playing to win and holds all the cards. He is being forceful but polite right now. But I don't think they would want to face him if he was angry.

If Chutkan seriously believes that this will make up for her egregiously unconstitutional role in lawfare, Good Luck, Tanya. Her judicial days are most likely numbered. At the very least she is not long for DC. 'Hey, Judge! You are being reassigned to North Dakota.'

Over the past decade, a growing divide has emerged within the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), as denominational leaders have increasingly framed left-leaning border policies as a Christian imperative. Last week, Baptist Press, the official news service of the SBC, published an article by Trevin Wax, a vice president at the SBC’s North American Mission Board, in which he defended his denomination’s participation in “refugee resettlement” against those he claimed have a “deep misunderstanding of how disaster relief, foster care or refugee resettlement takes place.”

Events are continuing to develop after the initial meeting of top American and Russian officials in Riyadh, KSA. The #1 priority that SecState Rubio presented after the meeting was the reestablishment of normal diplomatic relations between the US and Russia. Last weekend French President Emmanual Macron organized an emergency meeting in Paris with leaders from the European Union to address the unfolding crisis of President Trump organizing a ceasefire and peace in the war between Ukraine and Russia. The outcome of the meeting was what would be expected. Each member of the EU said they would not put their military forces into a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine if the United States were not leading the effort. Having previously warned the NATO alliance to step-up their military spending, President Trump has no intention of putting U.S. troops into a regional conflict that affects Europe.

The U.S. Department of Education announced Monday it cut over $600 million in grants spent on training teachers in “social justice activism,” critical race theory, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) ideology. The grants were used to fund institutions and nonprofits involved in training teachers on concepts like “anti-racism” and claims about white privilege and white supremacy. The grants also helped fund discriminatory staff recruiting strategies that targeted candidates based on their race. “It’s hard to overstate how radical these teacher trainings are — we are talking about forcing teachers to talk about their race at work, asking educators to ‘take personal and institutional responsibility for systemic inequities,’ promoting abolitionist

The president noted that the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA) ostensibly prohibits illegal immigrants from obtaining most taxpayer-funded benefits, but he argued that in the decades since its passage “numerous administrations have acted to undermine the principles and limitations directed by the Congress.”

On Tuesday, Elon Musk responded to a proposal from James Fishback, CEO of Azoria, regarding a unique idea: the “DOGE Dividend.” This initiative aims to issue a $5,000 tax refund check to approximately 79 million American families, funded by a projected total savings of $2 trillion from DOGE. Fishback emphasizes that this dividend would not only compensate taxpayers for the misuse of their dollars but also help restore trust in government accountability.Fishback’s argument is compelling: the DOGE Dividend represents a social contract between taxpayers and their government, a much-needed refund given the egregious waste uncovered. As Fishback puts it,
