President Donald Trump’s administration has stopped providing free lawyers to 26,000 migrant youths, many who are asking for green cards.
The lawyers argue that many of their migrant-youth clients have been abandoned by their parents and so deserve green cards via the “Special Immigrant Juvenile” loophole in immigration law.
But the lawyers’ claims of “abandonment” are often belied by the reality that the youth migrants crossed the border in search of jobs while one or both parents stayed behind in their home country.
New Federal Trade Commission Chairman Andrew Ferguson announced on Thursday the FTC is opening an investigation into censorship by Big Tech and called on Americans victimized by Big Tech censorship to submit reports to aid the investigation.
The deadline for public comment and submissions is May 21. Ferguson was appointed by President Trump last month to replace Joe Biden’s radical appointee Lina Khan.
Ferguson posted to X about the inquiry:

Immigration advocates have filed two suits challenging the Trump administration’s stripping of deportation protection for some Venezuelans in the United States.
The suits target a move by Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem to rescind Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Venezuelans who have fled to the U.S. in recent years.

Several cities in northern Mexico have seen a major drop in the arrival of migrants seeking to reach the US border since President Donald Trump returned to the White House.
The Comarca Lagunera region, which consists of five cities in the state of Coahuila and 10 in the state of Durango, experienced a 95 to 97 percent drop in migrants from the south trying to reach the US toward the end of last year, Milenio reported.

President Trump signed an executive order Wednesday night barring illegal immigrants from receiving federally-funded benefits.
“My Administration will uphold the rule of law, defend against the waste of hard-earned taxpayer resources, and protect benefits for American citizens in need, including individuals with disabilities and veterans,” read the text of Trump’s order.
