The Ain al-Asad air base in Iraq, which houses U.S. troops, was reportedly attacked with rockets on Monday, according to sources.
The news was broken by Reuters, which was told about the situation by multiple security sources. At least two Katyusha rockets were fired towards the base.
The sources did not confirm if the attack caused any deaths or injuries, though one security source said that the rockets fell inside the base. TAMPA, Fla. — The driver of an 18-wheeler found half submerged early Monday morning in the Tampa Bypass Canal after losing control on Interstate 75 has been found dead, authorities confirmed.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews responded to a call at 2:35 a.m. and located the truck teetering on the guardrail with the cab still out of the water, according to a news release.
The driver of the truck was traveling southbound near mile 263 before going off the road. Fifteen minutes into the incident, the front cab became submerged in the water. Multiple units responded to the scene to try and save whoever was inside.

If you've been on social media this past week, there's a good chance you've come across a video that has gone viral showing Kamala Harris answering a question about how she will fix inflation. Trust me when I tell you that it is hilarious.

US supreme court justice Neil Gorsuch has said ordinary Americans are “getting whacked” by too many laws and regulations in a new book that underscores his skepticism of federal agencies and the power they wield.

Shortly after Friday’s anemic jobs report came out, the stock market tumbled, recession fears rose, and the Biden-Harris administration issued another Pollyannish report about how great the economy is doing – this time with bigger and bolder lies.

In an Aug. 1 decision over redistricting of county commission seats in Galveston, Texas, the 5th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals has issued a decision that stops the political misuse of the Voting Rights Act by Democrats and their allies to create voting districts loyal to the Democratic Party instead of protecting the voting rights of minorities. This decision may also affect the political makeup of Congress and state legislatures in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas—the states within the jurisdiction of the 5th Circuit—moving dozens of seats from Democrat to Republican.

I’m just catching up on some events that I have missed. The first press conference by the U.S. Secret Service about the Trump assassination attempt was alarming. This is the first time the media had to question USSS since the attempted assassination in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Fox News host Jesse Watters does a good job summarizing the event and encapsulating the largest takeaways from the briefing. *Why* do they want us to know/think this was an inside job? It seems like there has to be more to it than just lording it over us or simple distraction. I don’t understand where they are going with this.

Amy Smyth Murphy, 49, was strolling through Corson’s Inlet State Park over the July Fourth weekend when she discovered an antiquated green corked bottle containing what appeared to be a business card from 1876 and a handwritten note, she told NJ.com.
Smyth Murphy said she believes that the bottle, which bears the words “Barr & Brother Philadelphia,” a business from the mid-1800s, was tossed into the water about 146 years ago — or 10 years before the message-holding container found in Australia in 2018 that currently holds the Guinness World Record.
