Russia’s increasing use of hybrid and gray-zone attacks against European countries is posing a major challenge for the U.S. and NATO: how to respond without sparking a major conflict with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Baltic countries, Poland and the Czech Republic in particular, are raising alarm that acts of sabotage — and sometimes fatal attacks against individuals — allegedly sponsored by Russia are a growing threat to Europe and the defensive alliance.Russia is throwing at us all the time new challenges, new risks, and hybrid has turned to be one of the serious ones for the alliance,” Estonia’s ambassador to NATO,

Was the blow up of the Nordstream pipeline a gray attack on Russia? What about cutting Russia off from the Swift System? What about when Victoria Nuland and the left wing NGO's engineered a color revolution in Ukraine, and began efforts to expand NATO into Ukraine? The left poked the Russian bear, and now they are getting poked back. The US should not be involved in any of this.

Yeah, #1, sure. Just like any victim of a crime is actually at fault, not the criminal attacking them. Time to match the Russian hacking and jamming. Letting them attack us in subtle ways without any response invites greater attacks.

if Victoria Nuland and others had left that chappie in place whom the Ukrainians elected president in 2014, wouldn't it be better for most people? Especially the dead ones? Nice work Victoria.

Perhaps if the US and NATO didn’t deliberately and consistently poke the Russian bear, they wouldn’t be in this mess.

Yep. NATO opened this door in the first place, forgetting two could play that game. It seems there's a lot at stake for some very influential people--nobody we know.

Apparently the pro-Russian propaganda is pretty effective in their hybrid warfare. It has a lot of "conservatives" convinced that Russia is a poor, innocent victim. Yep, poor innocent Hitler, too. Just put upon by those darned Europeans, not letting him take whatever countries he chose. Same for Putin. What sort of NATO monsters won't let Russia take a few countries here and there, heck they are small countries, near Russia so isn't that their right? /s off People have lost sight of right and wrong it seems. It is never right for a country to invade it's neighbor.

Nearly four years after 51 former top intel officials smeared The Post and misled the nation about Hunter Biden’s laptop, not one has any regrets — even though the FBI and Justice Department have confirmed the computer’s authenticity and federal prosecutors even cited it as evidence in the first son’s gun case. Indeed, the 51 “spies who lied” in a letter falsely suggesting the laptop report was “Russian disinfo” are proud of deceiving Americans, with a lawyer for some even calling their deception “patriotic.” No: They sold out their own credibility for a mess of pottage by intentionally misleading the public,

President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign on Thursday called on top Republicans to drop litigation seeking to curtail aspects of mail balloting now that Donald Trump has begun to embrace the method. Trump for years falsely claimed voting by mail was riddled with fraud, but his 2024 campaign began a program this month to encourage mail voting if convenient for people. It is part of Republicans’ attempt to increase mail voting among their supporters. At the same time, the Republican National Committee, newly under the former president’s control, has sued or joined lawsuits seeking to limit certain aspects of mail voting.

Due to mounting dissatisfaction with the political establishment throughout the European Union, right-wing parties have made significant gains in the recent European Parliament elections. Perhaps most surprisingly, this surge in seats won was fueled not only by traditional older conservatives but also by younger voters who have sought to rekindle the spirit of nationalism within their homelands. Before the European Parliament elections, 32 percent of French 18-to-25-year-olds said they’d vote for the “far right” National Rally party, closely reflecting the eventual election outcome. Led by Marine Le Pen,

Here’s a thought. What if the kids are all right? New polling shows young voters in the US are shrugging off their habit of voting left and actually thinking of voting Republican in November. In almost equal numbers to their Democrat-voting contemporaries. All this despite the daily diet of Democrats trying to throw everything at young voters to woo them. Anyone who gets daily messages in their inbox from the Biden- Harris campaign will know how hard they are trying to make voting Democrat “cool” to young voters. In the past few days alone this has included “direct messages” from George Clooney, Julia Roberts and — er — Jimmy Kimmel.

Republicans gave differing accounts of former President Donald Trump’s alleged remark Thursday that Milwaukee “is a horrible city” — but the congresswoman whose question provoked the comment told The Post the context was clear. The Internet exploded Thursday morning when Punchbowl News’ Jake Sherman reported Trump, in a Capitol Hill meeting with House GOP members, said, “Milwaukee, where we are having our convention, is a horrible city.” A slew of Wisconsin congressmen present for the remarks challenged the reporting, but even they gave conflicting statements: Some said he was referring to election integrity, while one said he was talking about crime, and two declared he’d never said it at all.

There were a couple of truly wild moments in Joe Biden press conference at the G7 in Italy. First, there was his weird answer to a question about Hunter when he said, "I am satisfied that I'm not gonna do anything I said," before saying he would abide by the jury decision and wouldn't pardon his son. Well, yes, we know Biden doesn't do what he says -- nice he admits it. But what was he talking about there? What a strange remark. He subsequently also said he wouldn't commute the sentence, according to reports.

President Joe Biden’s reelection ad campaign contains a boatload of misinformation and disinformation. Will the censors shut it down? Will the media alert their readers and viewers to the falsehoods? We all know the answers to those questions. The political left is obsessed with shutting down any speech that doesn’t agree with its narrative. And it has successes to show for it. The Twitter files are the preeminent example. There exists a censorship-industrial complex, “a state-sponsored system targeting ‘disinformation,’” says journalist Matt Taibbi, who had access to the Twitter files, that strike “at the essence of the right to free speech.”

Voters across Europe spent the weekend sending a message to the EU’s political class: a nationalist and populist shift is happening across the continent. The European Parliamentary election held over the past few days saw the biggest wins for nationalist and populist parties in European Union history. As the results poured in across Europe, the media spun the news as an ominous “far right” victory throughout the EU. News outlets made it seem as if fascism had once again reared its ugly head over Europe after eight decades of liberal peace and prosperity. This couldn’t be further from the truth.

Imagine a Jan. 6-style crisis, only this time with serious (as opposed to politically manufactured) disagreements over whether the presidential candidate who won a key state is entitled to its electoral votes. That disturbing scenario just became a little bit more likely — not for the next presidential election but subsequent ones. Without fanfare, Minnesota’s governor signed legislation last month that would award the state’s 10 presidential electors to the national popular-vote winner even if he or she lost Minnesota. The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact purports to take effect once states carrying 270 electoral votes (the minimum needed to win the presidency) have agreed to its terms.

Nearly half of Americans expect President Joe Biden to suffer an embarrassing gaffe during the first debate against former President Donald Trump. According to a new poll by J.L. Partners, 49 percent of voters believe Biden will forget where he is while on stage with Trump, and 41 percent expect him to wander off of the stage. The survey also found that a massive 70 percent of Americans think the 81-year-old president will fumble over his words— something he is very prone to. Voters from both sides of the political aisle doubt Biden’s ability to even make it through the whole debate in one piece.
