A very interesting day is described by everyone in Washington DC, as President Trump strategically attends both House and Senate Republican conferences. Magnanimous Trump arrived to heal wounds, appeal for unity and build a larger support network ahead of the Republican National Convention.
It would appear the Dr. Phil approach was attempted as promised. According to media reports, in the upper chamber President Trump even spoke warmly with Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and the 16 Wall Street DeceptiCons who are insistent upon his permanent removal from politics.

As Vito Corleone once said "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer." Trump knows who the snakes are.

After listening to Biden's constant droning of gloom and doom, Congress probably enjoyed that visit very much. Hardcore Leftists like Pelosi, Schiff, Swallwell, Auntie Max, Schumer, Raskin, the Squad, etc. are now a few years closer to that final heartbeat.

And while the Trump train is zooming towards election, Biden is shuffling around Italy in a daze.

Trump’s got them nicely cornered. He has the conservative base and controls the money. Be nice or be gone.

we're with #7. we've been thinking about what Roman senators did to their popular leader, not by accident.
nobody was surprised when mittens stormed out; he showed himself long ago to be petty and low, after all.
seems rand paul followed suit. badly done, sir. sen. donalds is interesting; but isn't he disqualified?
TBH, no other senator, in the room or out of it , impressed us as worthy or courageous matches for vp.

And then, the Senate went home to sharpen their knives to make easier their insertion into Trump's back, again.

Yes, I agree with #1 that Trump is doing the perfect thing here, as he needs legislation passed to operationalize elements of his agenda, like eliminating the fed tax on tips for service workers and in getting the border re-established. Finishing the Wall would be cleaner and more expeditious, if funding is authorized and appropriated by the House. The democrats are unified in the downfall and destruction of our Republic as founded. Republicans need to be unified in preserving our Republic as founded and its guiding principles found throughout our Constitution. We need for Trump to have long coat-tails, November election-wise, to pull enough Senators and representatives, as well as governor and state house legislators, across the finish line to ensure that democrats no longer control some key organs of government. Even championship sports teams have a few scrubs (RINOs) on the roster, but they need not dictate the success or failure of the enterprise, especially on those teams with strong, enlightened leadership.
