If Donald J. Trump survives his current judicial gauntlet and emerges as President again in 2025, he must work to re-establish the rule of law and the constitutional enforcement of it. [Snip] When the Constitution was adopted, several of its supporters felt there were not enough safeguards to protect citizens from the government. They insisted on a Bill of Rights which enumerated the liberties of the citizens and limited the reach of the government. Consider these restrictions on government abuse of citizens as you watch the legal system attempt to destroy Mr. Trump.

The Demon-Rats just don't comprehend the concept of "precedence".
They honestly believe that they can do this to President Trump and other Republicans, but at the same time believe that they are not setting a new precedence that will be used against them when the Republicans gain power again.
But that precedence has been set, and Øvomit, both Clintons, Pelosi, and the list goes on and on, that are actually guilty of crimes and now stand to pay the price because of the precedence that they set by going after President Trump!!!

Re #1, they think "we're ruthless enough to do this stuff, but the wimpy Republicans aren't ruthless enough, they are foolish boy scouts who can't play power politics".
So far they have been right. They cheat, we waggle a finger and don't put them in prison for it.
Stupid, stupid, stupid....masquerading as "nice" and "civil".

So, how does one seek justice for Mr. Trump? Is he supposed to keep being abused, his money siphoned away by bad actors in government, especially his political opponents? Is he supposed to sit back and take it?
I get what the author is saying about not seeking revenge. But those who have abused the legal system against Mr. Trump must be experience consequences, up to and including jail time if they broke the law. How else will they be stopped in the future?
Ineffectual Congressional hearings are not enough. They exact few if any real consequences from wrongdoers.

The only thing that'll stop this crap, is for an AG of a state, to go after Biden for immigration law violation. Ken Oaxton and the state of Texas comes to mind. Then the Communists will cease and desist.

Holding people accountable for their actions is not revenge.

It will all end in November. Trump is going to get into the Oval Office the right way or the hard way. I hope the democrats choose wisely.

I don't think PDJT should use his 2nd term to 'get even'. Getting 'even' would require using every type of legal process or extra-legal chicanery to punish, if not destroy his political adversaries. Instead of exacting revenge he should administer Justice. Those who have committed crimes MUST be made to PAY for them. That in itself will even the scales. It will suffice.

Looks like the only way to get a prominent Republican's article published in a mainstream newspaper is in the UK now. Good to know that at least there is freedom of the press still in the UK.

How can this Lawfare be stopped without using the law to stop those who are guilty of it?
Using the law against those who abused the law is not revenge it is necessary in order to see that it doesn't happen again.
The greatest problem to America is the democrat party and it's ownership of the media. That media that will defend any Democrat that comes before the court.

Juan and Eva Peron ruled post-WWII Argentina with an iron fist. Juan once said, "For my friends, everything. For my enemies, the law!" President Trump's numbers have soared since the guilty verdict. Americans don't want a Juan Peron government, and the Dems are refusing to pay attention to the voters' wishes. They deserve what's coming.

“and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.” It begins with punishing those that failed in this duty, bending and breaking laws in an attempt to punish and bankrupt their political opponent.

Always remember that if they can do this to Trump, they can do it to you. Also remember the plight of the J6 political prisoners. The fate of freedom is in the balance.

#11 gets it. “...and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the CONSTITUTION of the United States.” The “oath” appears to require, to command/demand that punishment be meted out by EVERY President of the United States for those who “fail, bend, break laws” in violation of the Constitution of the United States.
In that perspective, President Trump would be required, commanded, charged with the responsibility that justice be administered for those who violated the Constitution regardless of whether the violations were directed at him, or any other citizen of the United States.
To imply that President Trump would be seeking revenge to oversee legal recourse is inappropriate, as well as a political means of deflection from the reality of violations of the Constitution having been made by continuing to slander him.

No one is going to get Biden to trial and to prison. Forget it. Same with Hillary, however much they both deserve it. Remember, most of the cases against these and other criminals would be tried in D.C., where the jury pool is even more leftist than Trump's jury in Manhattan.
Moreover, if President Trump is re-elected in November, he cannot, on his own, indict or prosecute democrat miscreants. The DOJ would have to do that, and the DOJ is filled with leftist employee-attorneys. If President Trump can reform the DOJ and the FBI, and perhaps even make a dent in the CIA, his next presidency would be an overwhelming success. More than anything, this outcome would depend on appointing a shrewd political operator as Attorney General. Not merely a good or high-profile attorney, but a shrewd and experienced political appointee who would commit to cleaning out the human debris from those Augean stables.

Opponents of President Trump are claiming that if he wins this year’s presidential election, he will exact revenge on his adversaries. MAGA supporters have expressed mixed views about legal recourse in favor or in opposition. Perhaps a starting point whether any legal recourse should be taken for the relentless assaults on President Trump would be to reflect on the “Oath of Office for President of the United States” which concludes with the words, “and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.” To this end, Mr. Gingrich’s compelling article is very well worth reading.
