Ten GOP Senators, Led By Mike Lee: “We
are no longer cooperating with any Democrat
legislative priorities or nominations”

Original Article

Posted By: Harlowe, 6/1/2024 9:54:16 PM

The horrific assault on our Republic that resulted in 34 (!!) felony convictions of former president Donald Trump has reverberated across the nation. The blight on our nation caused by every Democrat who has had a hand in the banana republic disgrace of an American president being paraded around in a clown court, a Soviet-style show trial, makes a mockery of the very foundations of this (once?) great country. Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) is spear-heading a campaign among U.S. senators to stop cooperating with the corrupt Biden administration on legislative matters that do not directly affect the American people.

Comments:

According to reporting by “Hot Air,” the senators wrote they are “unwilling to aid and abet this White House in its project to tear this country apart.” The author of this article is encouraging the electorate to tweet or call their senators to join the ten senators taking a stand.

#9 - In the course of digesting political news 7 days a week over many years you always hear something about each of our 100 Senators, both the good and the bad. Maybe you can't name every one of them from memory and what state they represent but you've at least heard their names in passing. But Jerry Moran? Honestly, I've never heard of him.

The American people need to stop voting for congress critters based solely on the "R" or "D" or their longevity and pay close attention to actions and records. It their choice is "none of the above" in the primary then run themselves. They can't blame the RINOs and chair warmers if they voted for them. People like AOC and the squad members should never get into office in the first place. People like Maxine Waters couldn't clean a bathroom properly, how do they achieve power when they don't even appear on the lowest segment of the Bell Curve?

Oh, so NOW it's a problem. And NOW they won't cooperate with the democrat agenda to destroy the country. That agenda that goes back many decades and is finally bearing poisoned fruit. I have to ask, when have the democrats ever cooperated with pushing the republican agenda when they didn't get more out of it than we did? Congressional republicans, past and present, are largely complicit with the mess that we find ourselves in today. They failed to fight harder for what is right. And we, the people are every bit as responsible for allowing it to continue.

I would not use signing a virture-signalling letter to judge a Republican senator's bona fides. Cruz and a handful of other senators have solid conservative voting records, such that they have no need to duck a RINO label by signing a non-binding policy statement. If Cornyn, the Texas senator with a blue tinge, had signed, it would be an obvious sham, as a little conservative grandstanding cannot erase Cornyn's non-conservative record, developed and degraded over time. Since Mike Lee is not one of my senators, I'm not sure he has a pristine conservative voting record or whether he is more Cruz-like or Cornyn-like. During most of our country's 250 years, inter-party cooperation, owing to our Constitution's government design and structure, wasn't as starkly wrong as it is today, as a majority of democrats were at least not blatantly anti-American / pro-communist, pro-Islamic jihad as the democrats have revealed themselves to be circa 2024. Some of the older Republicans, like McConnell, never read the writing on the wall, post 1980s, as democrats went full leftist, a bit slowly at first, then full steam ahead, under their "progressive" banner.

The DEATHS of thousands of heroic Americans who gave their lives in WW2 to thwart totalitarianism had NO INFLUENCE on “jurors” who obediently voted to convict Trump. These obedient lackeys likely would have also voted for Hillary. The communists control many of the”blue” cities today and so results like this are to be expected. A Trump defeat in the upcoming elections will be the final nail in America’s coffin and will portend MUCH worse for America and Americans going forward, so try to bring it on COMMIES.

Trump Guilty Verdict: “There are some

Twitter (X) law is like the broken clock that is right twice a day. I saw multiple people tweeting that a video released by Yale Law Professor Jed Rubenfeld was a must watch on the basics and potential constitutional problems of the Trump ‘hush money’ trial guilty verdict. They were right. I know nothing about Rubenfeld, but he doesn’t come across as partisan on either side. And a lot of his arguments are consistent with the arguments we made in our Telegraph Op-Ed (though he makes them better, but in fairness, we were under a 650 word limit).
