For many years, I made my living writing TV shows for Disney. I was proud of my work, considering it a privilege to make kids laugh all over the world. (snip) I grew disillusioned with kids’ TV and walked away from the field.
Every kids' TV writer knows that when crafting a story, you have to be careful about “modeling behavior.” Whatever kids see, they imitate, so you should “model” positive traits in your scripts, particularly when writing for pre-schoolers. (snip) So Disney’s recent commitment to “add queerness” wherever possible can’t be explained as just trying to teach tolerance and inclusivity.

People who take their Children to Disneyland should be investigated for Child abuse!

I was never into Disney. More of a Warner Brothers and Johnny Quest kind of kid.
Thank goodness.

No. 2: Disney is not the only business selling dung. All of the kids entertainment companies are ruled by this philosophy, and they will not permit entry into "their" businesses, which they gained by infiltration then indoctrination. Those people left have drunk the koolaid, or are just struggling through to reach retirement. Warner Bros. Is woke. Johny quest is woke... Those that aren't woke, queer, or grooming have been chased off the stage.
I mistakenly tried to break into that industry. As an adult christian heterosexual man, i was not welcome.

I knew there was something hinky about Donald Duck running around without pants. FYI: I never cared for any of the Disney characters. Just Davey Crockett. I liked the Warner Bros. characters only, when I was a kid.

Disney was never an explicitly religious entity but Walt's family attended church when he was young and there are countless conscious and unconscious Judeo-Christian references, allegories etc. in Disney material just as there were in the source material from the Brothers Grimm et al. Themes of loyalty, redemption, hardship & sacrifice, pureness or baseness of character (and getting one's reward for same), gaining knowledge of the world and familial love are more or less lifted from Scripture even if they were disguised as stories about princes/princesses, cruel/selfish villains, animals etc.
In addition, the nation as a whole was governed (in the political sense and otherwise) by those Judeo-Christian principles. Certain things were regarded as off-limits - more accurately, everyone just KNEW they were off-limits because morality existed and was promoted.
Yes, 'woke' is a problem. Yes, pedophilia and the sexualization of children are worse problems. But the bigger or overarching problem is that Disney has followed society in unmooring itself from morality based in faith even if the population as a whole were not religious per se.
In a sad, strange way the persons banging on about 'inclusivity' seem to think that cramming one from each column - race, sexuality, nationality, etc. - into a cartoon (of all things) will somehow produce a kind of moral virtue - the same kind they have been railing against for decades. In a further irony, they are merely recreating Biblical stories of false idols, towers and other means of competing with or ignoring God.

While mulling over Disney related product in my life, I find that I have spent little to nothing on anything directly related to them.
Our family visited Disney world in 1973 and I think I bought maybe two vhs tapes of theirs.
That’s about it.
Now if I had a family with children it probably would be a different story. But I don’t. So I’ll continue to ignore them as I have been.

Don’t forget Sesame Street was the beginning of TV wokeness for childrens shows. They’ve been pushing this stuff with public funding for decades. You tax dollars at work.

I think Disney exposed something that they've probably been doing for decades.
There is a reason why the leftists hate the word "Grooming". Leftists usually show/tell us what they are doing by denying it. Sick, Sick people.

Whether or not you have personally patronized Disney is irrelevant. They have become a huge front, pretending to deliver children’s entertainment while indoctrinating them with anti-Judeo/Christian messages and twisting their souls and millions of parents worldwide have walked into their midst without understanding that they are potentially hurting their own kids. It may have begun in the ‘80’s with Touchstone Pictures, a brand new Disney venture which made movies of questionable morality and taste. I believe that this was about the time that offensive language was introduced into films in a big way. Also, a reminder to those of us of a certain age: when the entertainment industry started bombarding the young with sexual messages and gratuitous violence in the late ‘60’s (“Let’s Spend the Night Together” Rolling Stones; “Why Don’t We Do It in the Road” The Beatles; Bonnie and Clyde; The Graduate, etc.) and back then any objection was arrogantly rejected by the pseudo-sophisticated as a sign of emotional immaturity and hipeless naivety. Look at where we are. It cannot be allowed to continue. We don’t have to boycott Disney and honor them with the promise to return if they change their ways. Just leave them and don’t look back at the filth they’ve become.

Chinese third graders are learning multi-variable calculus. American third graders are being taught that men can have babies. Who do you think is going to do well in the global economy in the decades to come?

I like Guardians of the Galaxy. The concept of protecting the whole galaxy from evil doers by a group of misfits was well presented. Am I missing something?

A good friend, after I sent her the real info on DeSantis signing a bill to stop sex ed for five year olds and Disney fighting it, wrote me that she loves taking her Grandchildren to Disneyland, loves the rides, the food etc. and people cancelling will just make it easier for them to book. Doesn't bother HER one bit.

It’s not just Disney. On a recent visit to see my grandkids, their father put a show on the television called “Word Party”, saying that the 2 year old loved it. I watched a few minutes of it and then pointed out that the show was teaching children not only English but also Chinese. Now why would a show for toddlers want to do that? Previously, he had never bothered to really pay attention to the show. Thankfully, he deleted the show from their streaming service.
If you have kids or grandkids, keep a sharp eye on what they are watching. And reading.

Those in power in the entertainment industry learned since the beginning what kind of power they had over women and most recently children. Everybody's dream at one time or another is to perform on the stage and that desire is exploited to the max, knowing that wannabes will do nearly anything to get a shot at stardom. We saw the worst of it with Harvey Weinstein but he is one of hundreds. The casting couch is a powerful weapon. The best we can do is to refuse to give them our time or money. The lifestyle is highly destructive and people learned from watching hollywood people bedhopping and getting married and divorced every few years without thinking twice about it. It's an artificial, miserable life that is best ignored. Yes, Disney is already hurting given the number of ads they are constantly running.

Sexual perversion is not OK. It has been outlawed by normal people for more than 5,000 years.

Until all child molesters die in prison after conviction, this will accelerate. Child molestation needs to be either a capital crime or life in prison without the possibility of parole. I'd prefer the capital punishment, can't be reversed by some idiots in the future.
