We’ve talked about the change of ownership of CNN and how the word was that they would be changing things to move CNN back to its roots of being a news organization, the way it was decades ago.
Now, David Zaslav, the Warner Bros. Discovery head who is taking over the conglomerate that includes CNN and a variety of other entertainment networks, is speaking out on his intentions. He sat with Oprah Winfrey this past week, outlined some of the changes that would be coming, and bashed “advocacy networks.”
The CEO told Winfrey that CNN needs to be about reporting and truth and facts.

Another thing Trump was correct about. I don't expect much of new & improved CNN. They still have to sell soap.

Please let this happen. Wallace needs to be dropped and end up an ingomnious castoff of a corrupt organization.

"Truth and facts?
These are fundamentally incompatible with CCN's core values of lying, propaganda and Marxism.

Hard news? Will they still choose between which so called hard news stories they will report on? Trying to keep their airport contracts?

May I remind everyone that the NY Slimes vowed to do the same thing after Hillary was “unexpectedly” slaughtered in the 2016 election and they were caught flat footed? We all know how that worked out.

We checked out the programming on DIscovery Plus and determined that the majority was trash, dark and evil or woke. So, the head of Discovery is going to swing CNN toward the light?

I know we shouldn't hold our breath waiting for it to happen, but it would be really good for the country if it did. If CNN was actually a legitimate news organization again, like they were 25 years ago, it would be great for America.

Zaslav, save your company a lot of money and shut down your communist news network...for good. NBC Universal CEO, I suggest you do the same for your sham of a news outlet msnbc.

We're going to need a bigger dumpster. This could be nothing more than going through the motions to appear to be resetting a commitment to news to fool people into believing their next phase of nonsense. They have been outed and need a new cover.

And where do they expect to find these so-called ‘journalists’ who will report hard news? Especially hard news that puts their party in a bad light? There are none on the left or right coasts. Will they hire them out of Iowa?

Zaslav is delusional if he thinks he will get factual reporting under a new CNN head who comes out of Colbert and Morning Joe. It will be the same old Trump hate, Republican hate, America hate, but with perhaps different curtains in the background. Just putting a different patient in charge of the asylum. He would do better to hire a crusty old newspaper editor or a local news producer who knows how to keep stories in line and reams out or fires reporters when they start editorializing, and leave the production values to the TV techs and set designers.

Wonder why Oprah was his choice of venue ...could he expect a wide white audience from her following....not sure that will happen...WE white conservatives have become very leery of oprah's input since her interview with prince harry and his tag along wife....disrespecting Prince Philip and the Queen....I guess the royalty was only a means to an end for her...hating whites because they are white...oprah made her fortune on the backs of the middle class white community...she should remember....

CNN is a steaming pile of hot garbage thrown into a dumpster fire. A long time ago in a galaxy far far away it used to be a reputable news source. Then during the Clinton 8 year corrupt-a-thon it started going downhill. With the 4 years of PDJT it slid into oblivion and the only way for that amount of trash to be saved is to burn down the dumpster and start all over again.

"Under Zucker’s successor, Chris Licht, an executive producer with stints at “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and “MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” CNN is expected to get an overhaul that includes more hard news and less opinion programming, sources told The Post."
Seeing those references is not very encouraging.

" the way it was decades ago." Are we supposed to believe CNN was ever credible?. Clinton got away with murder as president in the 1990s and this never could have happened without the willing accomplices in the media, including CNN, which would later come to be known as the Clinton News Network.
The media has been corrupt since the 1960s with Walter Cronkite and his twisted reporting on the Vietnam War and the Tet Offensive.
