Tony Dungy, the first black coach ever to win a Super Bowl, might have escaped notice this week had he merely supported Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s “Responsible Fatherhood Initiative.” His real sin was to explain why.
Dungy, a Christian father or eleven, recounted a conversation he had years back with the Rev. Abe Brown about Brown’s prison ministry. At Brown’s request, Dungy accompanied him to prison. Expecting to find hardened criminals, Dungy found instead “19- and 20- and 21-year-old kids who looked like my boys.” When Dungy asked what accounted for the young men’s incarceration, Brown told him, “(snip) Ninety-five percent of these boys did not grow up with their dad.”

The entire narrative of the left, on every topic and policy, is built on lies, so they are obligated to oppose any form of truth, or medium of delivery, that would undermine their narrative.
To reveal their lies, simply ask them, "Why is that so?"
That one question will force them to reveal that the lies they promote are founded on the perpetually shifting sands of secular humanism, and therefore moral relativism, versus those of Dungy, which are founded on the perpetually solid foundation of the Christian God.

When the Great Society under LBJ back in the 60’s made it financially Beneficial to not have a dad around, the black community was doomed.

Thank God for men like Tony Dungy. His words ring true and that is why he is attacked when he speaks. You cannot make people accept truth. All you can do is present it and allow it to penetrate the hearts and minds of people. What they do with it, is up to them. Many black conservatives do speak out. Jason Whitlock is another truth teller along with Candace Owens and others. We need to hear those voices because they are making a difference. This advice is not only for the black community but any group of people. God created the family and it is through these units that civilization flourishes.
Notice that democrats are going after the nuclear family like never before because they know without families people will look to government to meet their needs and that is their goal. Every aspect of our civilization is being tested but none like our families. The left wants to redefine families and that is why they push for all this LGBTQ+ nonsense. The more they push the culture away from God’s ideal for us, the more evident it is that their pathway leads to abject misery. A godly husband and father is worth his weight in gold. It is the stabilizing force in every child’s life. These perpetual man-children are a curse to civilization regardless of race. Life is meaningful when you recognize your role in this world and for the most part will produce happy healthy children who will copy that example and in turn be the dad and husband every family needs.

How can anybody argue with Tony Dungy's comments? Why are they so offensive to the leftists? How can Leftist Elites condemn Fatherhood?
I still think that the overwhelming amount of American's want to raise their kids in a two parent family. The leftwing is SO over the top and Wrong its pathetic. This is what happens when people turn their backs on God.

I think I almost understand my reluctance to jump 100% on board with the dads make a difference so keep dads in the homes mantra.
The financial lures and "me first" incentives serve as a dirt bag filter. The dads who stay despite selfish reasons not to make an enormous difference. Kids don't need dirt bags in the home and they benefit immensely from fathers who put their children above themselves.
There's a level of cause vs effect blurring.

Jemele, you just proved Dungy's point. The reason the father can't find a job is because 'his parents' didn't prepare him to be successful in the world. Can't you see that? It shows that this is a systemic problem in the black community. Open your eyes and ears.

When it comes to putting down Tony Dungy on matters of faith, you’re gonna lose! Obama said what many others have said, but no-Balls Obama backed down from Jesse Jerkson. The destructor
Ion of black society goes back the the first mistake the voters made And that was electing John Kennedy, because that led to LBJ and hisGreat Society, which he created to secure the black vote. He said so! All of todat's ills can be traced to LBJ. And those loony leftists that attacked Coach Dungy for his stand did so out of a knee-jerk reaction to a conservative point of view. That is another reason to never ever vote for a Democrat or any non-Republican, EVER!

Leftist sure do hate Black Conservative Christians. Especially the Black left. Tony Dungy is one and as a man of faith he gives them fits because he destroys their victimhood the White man is evil narrative. He reminds me of Allen West as he says the same thing. He like West makes Black leftist democrat heroes like Obama look like to racist, fake fools that they are and for that alone Dungy gets their ire. Too bad for them as he doesn't care.

I'm old enough to remember when LBJ set us on this road of fatherless children with his cradle to grave social programs. Look what it has gotten us. An apt analogy is the rampage of young bull elephants without an older bull elephant around to show them the way and when necessary get their attention. The young elephants went around in packs attacking other animals and inflecting much damage on them. When older bull elephants were introduced to the mix it didn't take long for things to quieten down and the younger elephants to begin to show some respect for those around them. LBJ, a yellow dog democrat, set the young elephants loose on society and they've left the preserve.

The year was 1992 and the Minnesota Vikings announced the position of Head Coach going to Dennis Green. The sports show talking heads slobbering all over themselves about the fact he was the FIRST African-American Head Coach in the NFL, even conferring upon him "NFC Coach of the Year Award" in the same year... somewhat reminiscent of Obama's '2009 Nobel Peace Prize', only a few months into the job.
:
The year was 2001 and Dennis Green became the first African-American NFL Head Coach to be FIRED, without ever winning a Super Bowl. It struck me then that all Demonrats and Leftist Lemmings want is to be able to crow, "He's the FIRST!", which really means, "See! We did that!," as if that's all there is to it. When he became the first black head coach fired from the job, I wondered why Demonrats weren't out crowing about that too, as an example of "true equality" having been met. Alas, they were all silent.
:
Then came Tony Dungy, who, as Head Coach, took perennial losers Tampa Bay and Indianapolis to winning seasons, and the latter to the Super Bowl to became the first black coach to win the "big one." But the leftist Sports Mafia found out that he was a devout Christian, loving husband and father, so they rejected him from their "most high and lofty midst."
:
God bless Tony Dungy, and all those who stand in the gap for the cause of Christ.

The Obamas only did on a larger scale what Patrice and the other "leaders" of Black Lies Matter just did to their followers, took the money and ran. Funds meant for poor blacks were used to buy luxury homes and provide beach lifestyles. Obie and Mike still aren't finished poking the stick in their eyes with the new luxury home in Hawaii. At present, White Privilege can't hold a candle to Black Privilege. Where else can a poor boy from Kenya, possessed of mediocre intellect, son of a drunkard and a Hippy slut from Kansas, rise so high?

Another white guy telling The Community, "talking down to black people—telling n*****s how to behave.” Doesn't work, Jack. Where these social ills are the norm, no one is listening. Just another cracker.
The urban black community is an absolute social mess. It has been written off as anything but a vast expense productive society must support because it is otherwise incapable of self-support due to whatever cause one wishes to prescribe. Why is there this influx of illegals? One reason is to provide the labor The Community won't anymore.
Now, pay attention to Jesse's hot-mic message to Obama...that's how The Community keeps things in line. Obama didn't grow up in The Community. Neither his father (Kenyan) nor his mother (white) was part of The Community. But he got the message, either directly or by having it explained to him. And he fell in line quickly. Pay attention. That's how it works. And until that cabal can be penetrated, nothing will change.

This can be traced back to Lyndon Johnson, who set up the system that financially favored single black mothers. As a result, countless young men grew up without the direction or example of a father.

Many thanks for saying it all,#9. Jason Whitlock offered the best analysis of the kerfuffle with Will Smith at the Academy Awards ever. We do need these courageous black voices who risk much even with their own families sometimes to just tell the truth. I love Tony Dungy. I have read of him being an active supporter of many issues with Ron DeSantis. It makes sense the two men are friends.
LBJ did something else too that is very often missed in discussions about his administration. The tax goodies for churches resulted in pulpits with zipped lips about current affairs, assisting Christians to look at political candidates from a Biblical perspective, etc. As single motherhood became commonplace even in the Church, pulpits stayed quiet as many women liked the government taking the place of fathers in the home.

Ben Carson and his brother grew up without a father. They had a Gd honoring mother.
Years ago, I worked with a black man who did not have a father when he was growing up. He had a strong mother. He always spoke highly of his late mother. He was ready to move out of the country for a bball contract. The girlfriend found out she was pregnant. He married her and was an important part of raising the 2 girls.
(People told him that he was raising 2 spinsters. The girls would have to find a man who loves them more than their father loves them.)

Tupac, a real voice in the AA community, once pondered how his life would have been different had he grown up with a father. He was quite prolific with his thoughts one of them being a boy needs a man to show him how to be a man. Like Cosby, he was taken down. I wonder sometimes what the real facts are.
