Sununu signed HB 619, which bans gender-reassignment surgery for minors.

The three men discussed the assassination attempt against the former president last week. Gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks shot at Trump from a roof in the middle of a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, wounding the presidential candidate on his right ear.
Trump revealed during the interview that he was not warned about Crooks by the U.S. Secret Service.
Independent Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia on Sunday called on President Biden to step aside.

Michigan Republican senate candidate Sandy Pensler announced that he will suspend his campaign, endorsing Trump-endorsed Rep. Mike Rogers on Saturday during Trump’s Michigan rally.
“My campaign was always about making America better. The best way to do that is to enact President Trump’s policies,” Pensler said during the rally before he endorsed his GOP running mate. “To do that, we need control of the Senate. A divisive, continued primary effort hurts the chances of that, and that’s not okay. So tonight, I am doing the right thing and ceasing my senate candidacy.”

The three top stories of the week are the Crowdstrike failure which interrupted internet service to millions; the attempted assassination of Donald J. Trump, and the ongoing Democratic coup against President Biden. You may recall that Crowdstrike was the source of the lie that Russians hacked the DNC files, so I have no sympathy for them. Apparently, there is little legal recourse for the victims of this outage, but I can imagine many institutions and businesses will be reconsidering continuing this service. The Treasury Department is warning that state laws that restrict banks from considering environmental, social and governance factors could harm efforts to address money laundering and terrorism financing. Former White House doctor Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) released a memo on Saturday that former President Donald Trump is “doing well” after the assassination attempt on him last Saturday, noting that it was “an absolute miracle” that Trump had not been killed.
