On Thursday night, from the convention in Milwaukee, former President Donald Trump held the attention of the world. Trump’s account of the attempt on his life one week ago was honest, poignant and unforgettable. His successful efforts at unifying his party and his promise to unify the country reverberated far beyond the Milwaukee convention center. Just a few hours earlier, another contender for the presidency was addressing another hall full of supporters. With Joe Biden absent due to COVID, and almost certainly about to be pushed out of the race by his own demoralized party, Kamala Harris is kicking things up a notch.

To use a real estate term, Kamala doesn't even have cirb appeal. Too ditzy-looking to be taken seriously. And unbelievably dumb.

Nobody was excited about biden becoming president, but he won/stole the election with a whopping 81 million manufactured votes. Don't sleep on kamala or whomever the elites select doing the same. They are not playing with our side. We can gloat about a wonderful convention and how united we are; it's a repeat of 2020. We were mostly united then and still lost to theft. While I hope the left's disarray will lead to their downfall (and it will be fun to watch), they are evil to the core and 100 percent corrupted by power. They have nothing else if they lose it; that makes them incredibly dangerous. They just tried to assassinate the legitimate president. They know they stole the 2020 election with a senile runner who spent the campaign in his basement, and this needs to be pointed out at every opportunity (not by Trump or politician but by pundits and podcasters, etc.).

This woman is incredibly shallow. The voters know it. I just hope she doesn't drown us all in accusations of racism and sexism when she realizes no one wants her as president.

It wasn’t really a surprise that President Joe Biden announced Sunday that he will no longer be a candidate for a second term. After all, Biden was under crushing pressure from some of the most powerful forces in the Democratic Party: congressional leaders, fundraisers, former President Barack Obama, and especially former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). In the time-honored Washington way, once Biden relented and stepped aside, people who just hours earlier had their boot on his neck raced to express their heartfelt respect and admiration for his judgment, selflessness, and patriotism.

If you are a Trump-hating Democrat, you are probably having trouble separating your nightmares from reality. After all, the Republicans just had a wildly successful convention while your party is forming circular firing squads. Worst of all, Joe Biden has picked a terrible time to throw a hissy fit, making it impossible to know who will be your party’s presidential nominee. Consider two reports circulating Friday: One says Biden is “in it to win it” and sees a path to victory, the other insists he and his family are discussing his imminent withdrawal. At this point, it’s not clear which is true or even which would be better for Dems.

Former President Donald Trump formally accepts the 2024 Republican presidential nomination in a speech at the Republican National Convention. FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for others. This is the spirit that forged America in her darkest hours, and this is the love that will lead America back to the summit of human achievement and greatness. This is what we need. Despite such a heinous attack, we unite this evening more determined than ever. I am more determined than ever, and so are you. So is everybody in this room.

The sister of the man who opened fire on former President Trump on Saturday is a "hardworking" woman with two jobs, according to a report. A neighbor of Katie Crooks said she moved out of her family home three years ago into an apartment – and that her now notorious brother helped her transfer her belongings. "The person who helped her, I couldn’t tell if it was a male or a female," the neighbor told the New York Post. "A couple of days later, I asked if it was one of her siblings and she said it was her brother. The one who shot Trump… He was real scrawny."

JESSE WATTERS: His first since dodging an assassin's bullet, or as he's calling it, the greatest earache he's ever had. And as the details keep dripping out, we have more questions. Tonight, we're learning that the gunman was on law enforcement's radar for three hours, and the Secret Service designated Crooks a threat 10 minutes before Trump took the stage. And the Secret Service never said, Mr. President, don't go out there. They let Trump take the stage anyway. And eight minutes later, he was shot.

MILWAUKEE — Oh, they’re friends again. It was reconciliation night Tuesday, day two of the Republican National Convention. Many of the GOP rivals that former President Donald Trump has mercilessly beaten in two Republican Party primaries took to the convention stage to tell American voters why they now love Trump. Or at least can plug their nostrils long enough to vote for the GOP nominee — in the case of Trump’s former United Nations Ambassador and defense industry darling Nikki Haley.

Republicans always seem to come home. Some sooner than others. Vivek Ramaswamy never really ran against him. Ron DeSantis threw his weight behind him within an hour of dropping out of the primary. But Nikki Haley, the last woman standing, she took her time. The endorsement took three full months to arrive. Donald Trump didn’t mind. The former president did not need her support to lock down a third consecutive nomination. He may not need it to return to the White House either. But as Haley walked onstage at the Republican National Convention Tuesday, Trump beamed. He listened with a bandaged ear from a box overlooking the arena

Donald Trump’s announcement that Ohio Sen. JD Vance is his vice-presidential pick was music to my ears. I’ve known Vance for more than a decade and can attest to his smarts, his seriousness and his undying devotion to America and its working class. He is an ideal pick for Trump and one that presages the transformation of the Republican Party into a true, multi-ethnic working-class coalition. I met JD at a political seminar in 2015. We quickly bonded over our shared interest in using public policy to help the country’s struggling working-class voters. In this pre-Trump age, that was not a popular position within the GOP. But that didn’t matter to

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley made her highly anticipated appearance at the Republican Convention, taking the stage to a mixture of cheers and boos from those in attendance. Haley, who was former President Donald Trump’s fiercest primary rival, gave the former president her "strong endorsement" during the appearance in Milwaukee, ending months of speculation on if she would throw her weight behind her former rival. But the initial reaction to Haley’s arrival stood in stark contrast to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Trump’s chief primary rival during the 2016 campaign, who received a standing ovation from those in the crowd, including Trump themselves.

Joe Biden dropped out of the race on Sunday afternoon. Everyone saw his post on X. In a follow-up message on X, Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidential nomination, and Democrat leaders began lining up (with the notable exception of Barack Obama) to endorse her. The controversy over Biden’s dementia and ability to perform the duties of president appears to be over, although the nagging and quite large issue remains of whether he is able to perform the duties of president for the next seven months. And yet almost immediately, questions about the way Biden withdrew began to swirl,

The push to dump the nation’s first black vice president was posted just after President Joe Biden announced he would not run in the 2024 election — and it could threaten Democratic turnout in November. The board first provided some throat-clearing praise for Biden: By agreeing to step down when his term ends in January, he is greatly increasing the chance that his party is able to protect the nation from the dangers of returning Donald Trump to the presidency.
