Joe Biden dropped out of the race on Sunday afternoon. Everyone saw his post on X. In a follow-up message on X, Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidential nomination, and Democrat leaders began lining up (with the notable exception of Barack Obama) to endorse her. The controversy over Biden’s dementia and ability to perform the duties of president appears to be over, although the nagging and quite large issue remains of whether he is able to perform the duties of president for the next seven months. And yet almost immediately, questions about the way Biden withdrew began to swirl,

"It seems to have been a superficial wound to the ear, and that’s all. . . I don’t think there is much more to it I mean, from what we’ve seen and what we’ve heard, it was a bullet shot that grazed his ear and injured his ear, according to the physicians who examined him. There was no other further damage."
That was Dr. Anthony Fauci last week on the attempted assassination of Donald Trump. Dr. Fauci changed his diagnosis from Trump’s “wound” to “injured,” as though Trump had been involved in an accident. In reality, Dr. Fauci never wanted to treat gunshot wounds, and that’s why he became a

President Joe Biden’s Secret Service chief Kimberly Cheatle failed to answer whether shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks carried the firearm to the rooftop or if it was already there before the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. Cheatle also failed to answer when the last sweep occurred ahead of Trump’s July 13 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
“Director, your agency has a no fail mission, and on Saturday, July 13, your agency spectacularly failed. The failure resulted in the death of Corey Comperatore and serious injury of two other rally attendees,” Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) noted during Monday’s House Oversight Committee at a hearing,

President Joe Biden hasn't been seen in public since last week when the White House announced he contracted COVID-19 and was headed to his Delaware beach house to recover. "Earlier today following his first event in Las Vegas, President Biden tested positive for COVID-19. He is vaccinated and boosted and he is experiencing mild symptoms. He will be returning to Delaware where he will self-isolate and will continue to carry out all of his duties fully during that time. The White House will provide regular updates on the President’s status as he continues to carry out the full duties of the office while in isolation," White House Press Secretary

Hollywood celebrities who have despondent for weeks over Joe Biden’s political prospects went wild Sunday following the president’s announcement that he won’t be seeking re-election. Numerous stars paid perfunctory tribute to Biden’s so-called “accomplishments” while prematurely anointing Vice President Kamala Harris as the party’s next nominee.
Stars including Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Bette Midler, Mark Ruffalo, and Jon Cryer all weighed in.
Biden “has a record of accomplishments unmatched by any president in our lifetime. He restored honesty, dignity & integrity to the office,” Disney’s Star Wars actor Mark Hamill

The New York Times (NYT) editorial board wants Vice President Kamala Harris off the 2024 ticket because of “profound concerns” about her electability.
The push to dump the nation’s first black vice president was posted just after President Joe Biden announced he would not run in the 2024 election — and it could threaten Democratic turnout in November.
The board first provided some throat-clearing praise for Biden: By agreeing to step down when his term ends in January, he is greatly increasing the chance that his party is able to protect the nation from the dangers of returning Donald Trump to the presidency.

Bibi Netanyahu, who is in the midst of a war with Hamas, is flying to the United States to speak to a joint session of Congress.
Kamala Harris, as President of the Senate, is supposed to preside. She is declining to do so, and has also declined to even meet with the Israeli Prime Minister. Joe Biden has already declined due to "health reasons," which probably don't include cooling down to room temperature, although to be honest, as I write this, nobody is certain about that. His doctor claims he is still able to get upright, but nobody else has seen that. If Biden is well and not infectious,

For some Republicans, the president’s decision not to seek a second term isn’t enough: They want him to resign, too. That’s tough to take seriously. When President Joe Biden announced that he was ending his re-election bid, he specifically referenced his eagerness to do the job he was elected to do for the next six months. “I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” the Democratic incumbent said in a written statement.

Joe Biden’s presidency is over. The old man can’t hack it, announcing earlier this afternoon that he’s exiting the race, endorsing Kamala Harris, his vice president, and finishing the rest of his term in isolation. But where is the president? A tweet of his ‘I quit’ letter was released, which did not sit well with many folks, and then nothing. We’re left to speculate what is going on with Joe Biden, and none of it is good. [Tweets]

When President Biden leaves the White House in January, it will mark the spectacular end of a career in politics that spanned five decades.
Biden, 81, ended his 2024 re-election effort Sunday in the wake of his disastrous June 27 debate performance against former President Donald Trump, which precipitated calls from the Democratic establishment for the octogenarian career politician to drop out of the race.
Here’s a look back at the president’s more than 50 years in public office:

Imagine being painted as so divisive that some self-professed Christians won’t even say your name on Sunday morning. (snip)
In the church I visited with a friend, the pastor urged people to “pray for the country.” In the sermon that followed, he spoke of Moses’s “goodness and meekness,” saying the Old Testament’s greatest prophet “didn’t need a ‘Make Israel Great Again’ hat because he wasn’t “marketing his personality.” Much of the congregation laughed at the expense of a man who nearly gave his life for his country the day before. There were no prayers offered up for President Trump, the firefighter who valiantly died protecting his family,

Vice President Kamala Harris made remarks from the South Lawn of the White House Monday as President Joe Biden remains missing in action after a COVID-19 diagnosis on July 17 and in the aftermath of ending his 2024 campaign Sunday afternoon. (X Video)
While Biden still has no scheduled events on his official calendar Harris, the presumptive Democrat nominee after landing a series of high profile endorsements over the past 24 hours, is headed to Wilmington Monday afternoon for a campaign event later this week.
"At 3:10 PM ET, the Vice President will travel to Wilmington, Delaware for a campaign engagement," official White House guidance states.
Comments:
Polls are almost too good. Dems will dump Biden for anyone else who walks on 2 legs.
