Yes, it is strange, Elon. There is only one cable news network that covers the Biden border crisis on a day-to-day basis and that is Fox News Channel (FNC). A viewer can watch CNN and MSNBC all day long and never once hear any mention of the humanitarian crisis, much less live coverage of the illegal migrants wading across the Rio Grande River or walking across the terrain.
There is one reporter who has covered the Biden border crisis for FNC for over a year and a half. Bill Melugin shows it all, from migrants being rescued from the river to buses driving the migrants to cities away

It feels like old times. In the wake of the FBI raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club, the mainstream media are in a feeding frenzy the likes of which we haven’t seen since he exited the White House. The usual suspects, like The New York Times and Washington Post, which spent the four years of Trump’s presidency consistently and spectacularly beclowning themselves, are at it again.
Dare we say that it has “all the hallmarks” of media incompetence?Take The Washington Post: Using its signature anonymous single-source style, it broke the alleged news that Trump was in possession of documents “related to nuclear weapons.” What exactly does that mean?

Albuquerque, N.M.—The fatal film-set shooting of a cinematographer by actor Alec Baldwin last year was an accident, according to a determination made by New Mexico’s Office of the Medical Investigator following the completion of an autopsy and a review of law enforcement reports. The medical investigator’s report was made public Monday by the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office along with numerous reports from the FBI on the revolver and ammunition that were collected following the shooting. Prosecutors have not yet decided if any charges will be filed in the case, saying they would review the latest reports and were awaiting cell phone data from Baldwin’s attorneys.

Allen Weisselberg, a top official in Trump’s business organization is reportedly preparing to plead guilty in the tax evasion case previously brought by the Manhattan District Attorney. Weisselberg and the Trump organization itself were placed under criminal indictment during the summer of 2021, with prosecutors hoping to “flip” the CFO so they could directly go after the former president.
That didn’t happen, though, because Weisselberg refused to go down that road, and he is now going to take a plea deal that will likely cut his stay in prison far short of the lofty sentence first suggested.

The Department of Justice is presumably weighing whether or not to indict former President Donald Trump for allegedly violating the act by taking classified documents with him upon leaving office (although, whether the documents in question were actually “classified” is up for dispute).
According to the official search warrant, the FBI raided the Trump resort on Aug. 8 to look for said documents as well as any evidence

Given the events of the last six years as the baseline…. If you cannot recognize the events over the past 75 days as coordinated, including:
…. The FBI raid on August 8
….. Joe Biden “vacation”

Then you have not been paying attention, or you are in denial.
What is the great offense?
Answer: The people elected someone who was not approved.
There is one permanent, political and administrative deep state running the United States Government.

I wrote earlier in August about how FBI Director Christopher Wray said he couldn’t stay 21 more minutes to answer more questions from the Republican members on the Senate Judiciary Committee because he had a plane to catch. As I noted at the time, Sen. Chuck Grassley busted him on that by noting that Wray had his private plane, so it wasn’t like he was rushing to catch a flight anywhere and would miss it. Of course, Wray wanted to beat it out of there because the Republicans were asking great questions about the politicization of the FBI. Wray likely was trying to avoid answering anything more.

Nothing symbolizes the decline of the American republic better than the weaponization of justice that we saw last week when the FBI raided the home of former President Trump.
And nothing better represents the divide that now exists between Democrats and Republicans than the fact that some people still have faith in the FBI.
Aren’t they paying attention? Heck, that's like a citizen of the old Soviet Union saying they had faith in the KGB – yeah, to crush dissent and lock up opponents of the regime in a Siberian gulag.

Host Joe Scarborough asked Strzok if there was any reason the American people should not trust the FBI.
Strzok said that “the American public should trust what the FBI is doing” in seizing documents from Trump’s home.
“[A]bsolutely, the American public should trust what the FBI is doing,” Strzok advised.

Last week’s raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home represented the culmination of a criminal investigation pushed by a partisan bureaucrat who called January 6, 2021, the “absolute worst” day of his life. (snip) the die was cast this spring when the DOJ went to the grand jury about Trump’s presidential records.(snip) The retired archivist then explained how he remembered “watching the Trumps leave the White House and getting off in the helicopter that day, and someone carrying a white banker box, and saying to myself, ‘What the hell’s in that box?’” According to Ferriero, “that began a whole process of trying to determine whether any records had not been turned over

A shocking new report has claimed that UN peacekeepers from 12 different countries have fathered and then abandoned thousands of children in poverty-stricken Democratic Republic of Congo since 1999. The report also claims that soldiers and police operating under a UN mandate in the war torn country have abused children, raped young women and traded food for 'survival sex.' One victim was just ten years old when her aunt trafficked her to UN peacekeepers who plied her with beer, raped her and got her pregnant, the report states. The majority of the absent fathers were from Tanzania and South Africa, while others were from Morocco, Uruguay, Nepal and Bangladesh.

Breitbart News reporter Penny Starr, who covered Capitol Hill and state politics around the nation, passed away this weekend after a quiet battle with cancer, leaving behind a newsroom in mourning at the loss of a valued colleague and close friend. Starr joined Breitbart News in 2017, after several years of work covering Capitol Hill. She had worked as an editor at the Island Packet, covering the resort region of Hilton Head, South Carolina, producing a lifestyle section for the print edition. But she plunged into political journalism once her sons, Zach and Paul, were grown and living on their own, moving to Washington, D.C.

Let me start by suggesting you read the excellent, comprehensive analysis by Sundance at The Conservative Tree House. I can sum up the Trump documents very succinctly–the documents show that there was a coordinated effort by the CIA, the FBI and DOD starting in the summer of 2015 to interfere in the 2016 election. Part of this effort involved using NSA produced intelligence. Oliver Stone’s movie, Snowden, has a scene that accurately describes what NSA was collecting and how it could be used: (Video)

According to Al Gore, based on statements and “science” from “leading climate experts”, the Arctic was supposed to be ice-free in the summer already years ago.
Now that the summer ice melt season in the Arctic will end soon, by the middle of next month, it’s a good time to see how Al Gore’s prediction is faring. (snip) Snowfan here zooms in on the chart for greater detail and reports that for this date, ice extent in the Arctic stands at a 12-year high:

Suddenly, St. Joan of Arc has been rewritten into a transgender icon, according to wokester elites in the arts, who've decided to culturally expropriate the Catholic saint and national patroness of France for the god of transgenderism on multiple fronts. They've even expropriated from the title of Robert Graves's most famous book, I, Claudius. Instead of being the Maid of Orleans, the Liberator of France, and a great symbol of feminine chastity, beauty, innocence and courage, she's now some creature whose bravery consists of contemplating her genitals and displaying her wokeness in the trendy new definition of heroism.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre denied allegations that the Department of Justice’s raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property was politicized. [Video]
The White House Press Secretary was out doing damage control on ABC’s This Week over the FBI raid of the Trump family home.
“[Biden] ran on not politicizing the DOJ — he has said that as president — but how concerned is he to see this investigation play out in the middle of a campaign, at least raising the appearance of a politicized Department of Justice?” asked Jon Karl, Chief Washington Correspondent for ABC News and co-anchor of This Week.
Jean-Pierre declared “this is not true”

In a major reversal, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin, D-W.V., struck a deal with Senator Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., to enact a major climate, entitlement, and tax bill. This legislation has been praised by President Biden, Al Gore, and other proponents of highly progressive policies.
Dubbed the “Inflation Reduction Act of 2022,” Senate Democrats voted to pass this bill only 11 days after releasing its 725 pages of text. House Democrats followed suit five days later. Democrats pushed this bill so rapidly through Congress that the Congressional Budget Office estimates it won’t be able to “provide a complete cost estimate for the legislation” until more than a week after Congress passed it.

A group of Georgia high school football players quickly jumped into action to help save a 50-year-old woman who was involved in a serious car crash. Rome High School football players Cesar Parker, Treyvon Adams, Antwiion Carey, Messiah Daniels, Tyson Brown and Alto Moore were just arriving at school on Friday when they witnessed the collision.
Smoke was seen pouring out from under the hood and fluid was pouring onto the intersection. The door of the vehicle was jammed, and the woman was unable to get out.
"We all knew we had to get her out before something worse would happen," Adams told Fox 5 Atlanta.

If by rule of law we mean a principle of governance in which legal standards are clear, are duly enforced by public officials, and are validated and maintained by an impartial and timely judicial system, leading to public trust in fair legal consistency and public order, then we can say that today the rule of law no longer applies, or applies only selectively, in a constitutional republic like the U.S. or a parliamentary democracy like Canada.
In Canada, the current prime minister has flouted the rule of law and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms so often that the country is now verging on the status of a third-world autocracy.

Years ago, I read a book by J.P. Moreland called, “Love Your God with All Your Mind.” It was written by an evangelical to fellow evangelicals, arguing that we were not doing a very good job of thinking biblically. I have to conclude that he was right, and I join in his call for fellow evangelicals to do the part of the Great Commandment that we may have been neglecting: loving God not just with our hearts and souls but also with our minds.

Meet Overture – the world’s fastest airliner that was developed by Denver-based Boom Supersonic.
With 26 million hours of designing and testing, Overture will run on 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) as it flies at Mach 1.7 over the ocean, shuttling between 68-80 passengers up to nearly 5,000 miles.

Deep State types such as Susan Rice are likely behind the FBI’s raid of former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, Carl Paladino, a Republican upstate New York businessman who is running for Congress in New York’s 23rd Congressional District, told Breitbart News Saturday. He contended that it would have to be someone other than President Biden, who “isn’t there” but, rather, is vacationing “all the time.”
“RINOs” do not want change in Washington, DC, Paladino said as he described the current Republican Caucus in the House as a “disaster,” pointing to the Trump era as an example of how to get things done.

NBC News's Capitol Hill correspondent Ali Vitali has a new book out, "Electable: Why America Hasn't Put a Woman in the White House...Yet."
In it, she says that Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts claimed that many people told her during the 2020 presidential primary campaign that they would have voted for her except for her lack of a penis. Possibly even more hilariously, Warren argued that she could have beaten then-President Donald Trump in the general election.
Vitali wrote: We’d talked about the dynamics of Iowa, her competitors, and the pressure she put on herself not “to screw this up.”

While the big media and some economists might disagree, a majority of Americans believe that the U.S. economy is now in a recession, the latest I&I/TIPP data show. And voters, when asked what caused it, are clear in their response: Government.
Recently, a number of government economists, including Fed chief Jerome Powell and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, along with non-economist President Joe Biden, have suggested that, despite two quarterly declines in U.S. GDP, the country is not in a recession.
“What is a recession? While some maintain that two consecutive quarters of falling real GDP constitute a recession, that is neither the official definition nor the way

Media coverage of the Mar-a-Lago raid has not been entirely illuminating, melding together as it does without distinction the four components of the search warrant process. The four components are:
1. Petition
2. Affidavit
3. Warrant
4. Return
The petition is the Department of Justice’s application asking that the court issue a search warrant. In the petition, the DOJ (a) argues to the court that the affidavit shows there is probable cause to believe that evidence of criminal activity can be found on the target premises and (b) specifies the nature of that evidence (documents, firearms, automotive parts, etc. whatever).
The affidavit is a sworn statement attached to the petition attesting to the essential fact

Welp, now it’s getting really interesting, America. “It,” of course, being the FBI raid on Donald and Melania Trump’s private residence at Mar-a-Lago. As reported by several sources on Sunday, the former president sent a private message to Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday, prior to a Justice Department afternoon news conference. Grab the popcorn: The contents of that message have now been revealed. Shortly before the press conference, a person close to Trump reached out to an official at the Justice Department to deliver a message to Garland. As reported by The New York Times, the message Trump wanted to be passed to Garland reads:
The country is on fire.

Of course, that is a risky prediction, given that the Democrats’ Trump Derangement Syndrome seems to become more acute on a daily basis. But for now, this may represent a peak (or nadir). Former CIA Director Michael Hayden suggests–I don’t think there is any other plausible interpretation–that Donald Trump should be executed for giving nuclear secrets to the Russians, a claim for which there is, to say the least, zero evidence, and which is absurd on its face: That tweet is actually three days old, but if you look at Hayden’s Twitter feed it consists of nothing but insane, over the top Trump hatred. An under-9's football game turned to tragedy after the coach of one of the teams was shot dead following an argument between parents at the end of the match in Lancaster, Texas.
The brother of former NFL star Aqib Talib, Yaqub Talib, 39, is now wanted on charges of murder after he was allegedly involved in the fatal shooting at the children's football game on Saturday evening.
Friends and family identified the official who was killed as Mike Hickmon, who coached the Dragon Elite Academy team.
It's believed Hickmon was shot three times in front of his nine-year-old son who was on one of the teams.

One co-lead story in Sunday’s New York Times regarding the aftermath of the FBI raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residency screamed “As Right-Wing Rhetoric Escalates, So Do Threats and Violence.” According to reporter Alan Feuer, this violence is taking place almost exclusively on the right, the actual fact of violence by Black Lives Matter riots and ANTIFA notwithstanding.
The story was keyed to the attack on an FBI office by an armed Trump supporter.

Europe has been suffering through a drought of historic proportions, but with water being rationed across the region. As a result, climate activists are taking aim at golf courses.
France is in the midst of its fourth heat wave as authorities claim that it is the worst drought in modern history, the Associated Press reported last week.
Authorities are beginning to issue water rationing, and farmers are already reporting drops in the production of soy, sunflower, and corn, the AP added.
Unfortunately, the heat wave is also bringing wildfires that have become difficult to deal with. Wildfires in northern Spain and France, for instance, caused the evacuation of thousands of residents.

President Joe Biden rode his bike in front of reporters again on Sunday, this time peddling along the beachfront in front of media cameras on Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
The president, wearing a polo and shorts, rode along the beach front, stopping to visit with some families and children and take selfies with supporters.
Biden was surrounded by Secret Service agents who also rode bikes around him as he slowly pedaled across the sand. (Tweet/Video) Although he appeared in front of media cameras he did not stop to take questions.
When reporters asked him if he would talk to them, he replied, “No.”

Accusations are flying fast and furious regarding last week’s FBI raid at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home. In my Wednesday piece for The Post, I noted that 30 million pages of Obama administration records had been trucked to Chicago. The Obama Foundation, working with the National Archives, promised to digitize and put them online. Almost six years after the records arrived at a Chicago-area warehouse, that hasn’t happened.
Trump revved up the controversy Friday when he asserted that Barack Obama “kept 33 million pages of documents, much of them classified. How many of them pertained to nuclear? Word is, lots!”
