Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki asserted Friday that President Donald Trump’s administration should not ‘treat everyone like they are stupid” after spending her tenure claiming former President Joe Biden was mentally healthy.
Psaki told “Morning Joe” panelists that the administration is gaslighting the American people as if they are “morons” when it comes to the leaked Signal messages detailing a planned attack on the Houthis in Yemen. National Security adviser Mike Waltz inadvertently added The Atlantic editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg to the chat, where he has since published screenshots of internal discussions about the military’s planned attack, which was carried out on March 15.

"Dr. Armstrong accepted the role of interim president at a time of great uncertainty for the University and worked tirelessly to promote the interests of our community," said David J. The Father of our Country, in his youth , wrote a book in which he extensively detailed over a hundred rules of manners and courtesy and decorum he thought were necessary for young people to learn and abide by. The book was Rules of Civility and Decent Behavior in Company and Conversation and one looks at the title, especially the last phrase of it, with a sad realization of how quaintly archaic those words sound in today’s caudron of crudity. Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) has fast become one of America’s best members of Congress thanks to his near-impeccable voting record and hilarious put-downs of woke liberal anchors during adversarial interviews. He once again went viral on Friday after a liberal tried to ambush him on the streets of D.C. regarding a classic inside-the-beltway story that no ordinary American cares about. (Snip) A youthful leftist, likely either employed by the Democratic National Committee or Media Matters, decided to ambush Burchett while on the streets of Washington DC Thursday afternoon to ask him a stupid question about the made-up media scandal.

I reported earlier on some of the delusional takes that failed vice presidential candidate and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz had during a town hall in Texas. Why is he having a town hall in Texas — unless he's already starting a run for 2028? He appears to be trying to become the male "face" of the Democratic Party and nothing could be better...for the Republicans, (Snip) "I've been saying this. I think we need a shadow government so when all these things come up, every single day, we've got an alternate press conference telling the truth about what things are happening," Walz said to cheers.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced Friday that the Trump administration had granted permission to West Virginia to ban the use of federal food assistance dollars to buy soft drinks. At an event in Martinsburg, WV, RFK Jr. gave West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrissey a first-of-its-kind waiver to permit the ban and had a message for the rest of the country: “Apply for a waiver to my agency, and we’re going to give it to you.”

The closer comedy is to reality, the funnier it is.
So when "Dilbert" creator Scott Adams suggested in jest during a recent episode of his podcast that President Donald Trump should create a new department to handle the ridiculous concerns, complaints, and scaremongering of the Democrat Party, the idea was pretty funny.
When Adams suggested a name for the new pretend department, it was downright hilarious.
Here's Adams:
So now that we know that the big problem was the imaginary concern of what could have happened but didn't happen, I've suggested that Trump should create a Department of Imaginary Concerns, and it would be only to handle Democrat complaints.

BANGKOK (AP) — Two violent earthquakes rocked Southeast Asia on Friday, causing buildings in the Thai capital Bangkok to sway and collapse and prompting evacuations across the city, as well as in neighboring Myanmar. Bangkok police say a high-rise building under construction collapsed when a 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit the Thai capital midday on Friday, and possible casualties are not yet known.
A dramatic video circulated on social media showed the multi-story building with a crane on top collapsing into a cloud of dust, while onlookers screamed and ran.

A handful of cowardly Republican senators anonymously whined to Jewish Insider about Vice President J.D. Vance’s America First foreign policy viewpoints, coughing up a dying gasp of the war-obsessed GOP establishment.
The neocon senators glommed onto Vance’s skepticism of immediately taking military action against the Houthis in Yemen disrupting trade in the Suez Canal, despite saying he was “willing” to support it and then ultimately did. Vance expressed concern that the action would be difficult to justify to the American public, which elected him and President Donald Trump in part to stop endless wars and at least justify military action in terms of American interests.

“We talked with [Rep.] Chip [Roy] a couple times about it, but President Trump signed his executive order yesterday, and he’s calling for proof of citizenship,” Slater said.

The United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia handed President Donald Trump a major victory on Friday. The issue at hand was whether fired members of the National Labor Relations Board and Merit System Protections Board would remain fired while the legal process continues. In a 2-1 vote, the appeals court found that overruling the firings of Cathy Harris and Gwynne Wilcox would cause irreparable harm by depriving Trump of his constitutionally vested authority as president.

In 2003, I witnessed the end of an era as a junior employee of Levi’s when the company closed its last factories in America.
We had held out as long as we could. The market had shifted rapidly since NAFTA went into effect in January 1994, and even more so when China locked in most-favored-nation status in 2001.
Consumer prices were dropping because of cheap labor — forced labor, in the case of China — and our jeans were expensive by comparison. Consumers said they valued the quality of our US-made products. But they weren’t willing to pay more for it. We were losing market share rapidly.

Now, people who disagree with Musk’s role in politics are hoping to channel their emotions into something peaceful: a day of mass nonviolent protests at Tesla locations nationwide. More than 200 protests are scheduled to take place Saturday during what organizers are calling a global day of action, part of a campaign called “Tesla Takedown.” The organizers are hoping to damage Musk’s political standing by hurting the sales and stock price of the electric-car maker, the foundation of

Lawmakers and union members gathered on the Minnesota State Capitol steps on Thursday to speak out against Gov. Tim Walz’s plan for thousands of state employees to return to the office. Walz sent out a memo on Tuesday notifying government employees that starting on June 1, at least half of their shifts will have to be in person. The policy would affect about 15,000 of 40,000 state workers. “Workers are angry. Workers are threatening to quit over this,” said Rep. Luke Frederick, DFL-Mankato. “In conversations with the agencies, there’s questions about how even to implement this, about whether there’s even

Lost amid a flash flood of recent news, President Donald Trump’s executive order to make American elections more fair and less likely to be corrupted by ideology-driven election officials is possibly a game-changer. If Trump’s order withstands the inevitable onslaught of legal and political challenges it will face, it will make a huge difference in future elections.
The ink had barely dried on Trump’s reform than the New York Times, setting the tone for the national media, ran this headline: “Trump Is Trying to Gain More Power Over Elections. Is His Effort Legal?”
So what does Trump’s order, dubbed

On Thursday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Ingraham Angle,” Attorney General Pam Bondi urged Congress to stay in session to confirm all of President Donald Trump’s nominees.
Host Laura Ingraham asked, [relevant exchange begins around 4:20] “[W]hat is your message tonight to Congress, specifically members of the U.S. Senate and House, but who — Republicans and Democrats, who like to leave town on Thursday night, tonight? And they leave and they’re going to be gone for two weeks in April, when you still have a lot of key people not in top positions. What is your message to them tonight?”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio was asked on Thursday to explain why a Tufts student from Turkey had her visa revoked and is now slated for deportation.
His answer could not have been more perfect.
Rubio calmly explained to the assembled journalists that coming to the United States to study at a college or university is a privilege and not a right, and that if people come here to destroy, harass, and take over college buildings, they will be sent packing.
He uses the analogy of inviting someone into your home. If a guest began vandalizing and destroying your home, you would eject that person.

During a House Oversight Committee hearing on Wednesday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Chairwoman of the Delivering on Government Efficiency (DOGE) Subcommittee, revealed perhaps the most outrageous cost for taxpayers courtesy of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).
Greene’s subcommittee held a hearing Wednesday with testimony by National Public Radio (NPR) CEO Katherine Maher and PBS CEO Paula Kerger as the Committee seeks to defund the far-left state propaganda stations.
During the hearing, Greene played a clip of a drag queen featured on PBS’s programming for children as young as three years old, singing and indoctrinating the young viewers.

The Paris Climate Agreement was flawed; doomed to fail from its inception. It is long past time for all parties to it and the media to acknowledge this fact.
The mainstream media have bemoaned the Paris Agreement’s fate since Donald Trump’s reelection. Trump took the United States out of the Paris Agreement during his first term, and vowed to do so again after President Biden put America back into the agreement. While Trump withdrawing the United States from the Paris Agreement was a visible and public rebuke of the pact, undermining its “effectiveness,” in point of fact, the agreement was dead even before the ink of the last signature

One evening about twenty years ago, at the height of my shortwave radio zeal, I was sitting at my desk tuning in Deutsche Welle’s (DW) English broadcast. That night, the well-known German public radio service was airing a program on the use of data from the Dachau Hypothermia Experiments, data they said would be used in modern medical research. I was shocked. It felt like a shadowy figure from a damp corner of a Nazi death camp had crept through the airwaves into my safe little radio cubby.

I think a lot of people are fond of "Star Trek" in its many iterations over the years.
But it's hard to top the original version.
So, when William Shatner became the oldest person to go into space in 2021, at 90 years old, with Blue Origin, it was an incredibly cool thing. While others were playing around with the weightlessness in the short flight, Shatner was captivated by the sight of space, and seemed very touched. Someone asked him recently about Elon Musk and going to Mars. Shatner then got a lot of attention by saying that the future is bright, and he believes Musk "represents the future."

It should not be spent fraudulently or wastefully. It’s not contrary to Congress to avoid waste and fraud. It is consistent with the law and consistent with Congress.”
Host Bret Baier asked, [relevant exchange begins around 5:00] “[T]he process still involves Congress, right, at some level?”

After launching investigations into the diversity, equity and inclusion policies and practices of Comcast and Verizon, the Federal Communications Commission is setting its sights on Disney next.
FCC chairman Brendan Carr told Punchbowl News he’s putting the “finishing touches” on a letter to the ABC parent company. He declined to reveal which specific DEI initiatives he was concerned with, but said the letter would outline similar concerns raised with Comcast and Verizon and “whether they’re engaged in any of this sort of DEI discrimination that could run afoul of our EEO rules or potentially our public interest standard.”

Want to get Academia's attention? A president has three options, all within his executive authority:
Cut off grants and other federal research monies
Aggressive use of Title VI, VII, and IX investigations to ensure proper compliance
Sever income streams from abroad via visa management
You could add "tax endowments" to that list, but that would require Congress to act. As Donald Trump is demonstrating, a president can use the three steps above to make universities and colleges know he's serious about cleaning up campus unrest, especially that fomented by terrorist organizations abroad. According to Axios' Marc Caputo, Trump has already begun planning Step 3:
The Trump administration is discussing plans

Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk and seven members of the team shed light on the department's cost-cutting mission in an exclusive sit-down interview with "Special Report" Thursday. [Snip] Musk, along with DOGE members Steve Davis, Joe Gebbia, Aram Moghaddassi, Brad Smith, Anthony Armstrong, Tom Krause and Tyler Hassen, added a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the department’s work from the Internal Revenue Source to the Interior Department to Social Security. "This is a revolution. And I think it might be the biggest revolution in government since the original revolution. But at the end of the day, America's going to be in much better shape," he said.
