Last week, I received the email below from Gale Primary Sources, acting on behalf of the University of California’s Center for Right-Wing Studies. It sought permission to digitize and disseminate materials created by my organization, Center of the American Experiment. These materials would be part of an archive that Berkeley will “publish and commercially distribute,” for the purposes of academic research and education on the “Right Wing.” I noticed that, while it was sent by email, the Gale communication was mis-addressed to my organization’s former headquarters–the building that was firebombed by left-wing extremists. Curious about the bipartisan nature of Berkeley’s interest in “wing” studies, I responded: Dear Sir/Madam,

More proof that such universities are indoctrination centers, not places of learning, exchange of ideas, and discussion and therefore not worth the money they charge to "educate". Further, these places tend to staff the bureaucracy, leading to the leftist tilt Trump is trying to clean up. We should identify the worst of the Leftist indoctrination centers and mostly give a pass to their graduates unless they have a clear work history that shows they can work to goals without bias.

The media use "right-wing" in their stories all the time as if it's a bad thing, but how often do we see "left-wing" applied? "Right-wing" is used dismissively. "Right-wing" has no validity.

Valuable resource, Dinesh D'Sousa's, The Big Lie. The prevailing narrative of the Left is that Nazism is the epitome of the Right Wing. Dinesh sharply disagrees. So do I. The way I understand this, the wing business refers to the French Parliament in 1789 where the seating arrangement of the representatives had the conservatives on the right of the speaker and the radical revolutionaries on the left. In my simple thinking I extend this idea and apply it to the dedication of Saul Alinsky's book The Rules For Radicals in which he identified Lucifer as the first radical who successfully rebelled against the establisment. So happens the "establisment" was God. Therefore...

An organization I am involved with had a speaker run a series of talks on “Christian Nationalism”. Now, I can see the problems with that concept (i.e., folding in Nazis (who were not Christian) vs. Dietrich Bonhoeffer (a true martyr), but I can also spot a “straw man” discourse when I see it. My response was - Well, I’ll attend the series if there is an accompanying series on “Christian Socialism”. Crickets.

The DC mid-air crash: DEI everywhere 2 replies
Posted by Hazymac 2/26/2025 12:08:43 PM Post Reply
Much has been written about the mid-air collision of an airliner and an Army Blackhawk helicopter over the Potomac off Reagan Washington National Airport. This is among the most congested airspaces in America, yet the Army has, for decades, routed helicopter traffic through it. Because of the subordination of our armed forces and every other organ or government, including the FAA, to DEI priorities questions of training, experience and competence are inevitable. Inevitable too are attempts to blame this crash and others on Donald Trump, a man only in office a few weeks at the time of the DC crash. Now we’ve discovered there is likely another factor involved,

PolitiFact finally found time to fact-check a Democrat on Tuesday. Unfortunately, writer Louis Jacobson refused to give Washington Sen. Patty Murray’s false claim a false rating when she declared that, since 2001, GOP tax cuts have done more than anything else to add to the deficit, instead giving the claim a “half true rating.” The specific claim from Murray came from a speech she gave on the Senate floor on February 20, claiming the Senate GOP’s budget is “not about balancing the budget. We all know that. Because they don’t plan to reverse one of the biggest drivers of the debt: Republican tax cuts

Within days of Donald Trump’s November landslide, Bishop Mark Seitz, head of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ migration committee, warned that Their Eminences were preparing to “’raise our voice loudly’” if Trump’s immigration policy “’violates basic human rights.’” This episcopal loudness signals the end of the USCCB’s scrupulously-maintained four-year vow of silence through the entire presidency of the “devoutly” Catholic Joe Biden. Their silence spoke volumes to Catholics witnessing Biden doing his utmost to wage open war on the most fundamental teachings of the Church. Not only was this “‘good Catholic’” (Biden claimed Pope Francis described him this way during a 2021 audience),

Conservatives have been saying for years that MSNBC platforms some of the most racist people in the Pravda Media--and until recently, the market for racism has been booming. So much so that the demand for racism exceeded the supply. It was good to be Ta-Nehesi Coates. It was good to be Hannah Nicole-Jones. And it was good to be Joy-Ann Reid and the racists at MSNBC. What made MSNBC unique was that racism was its primary product, and even when it seemed to deviate from that frame, it always attached racism to ancillary topics like Trump is Bad Orange Man. One main reason was, of course, that he was

On January 1 of 2024, AT posted Glock switches: let the buyer beware. In that article I wrote: "A 'Glock Switch' is a small device that replaces the slide-in plate at the back of a Glock’s slide. It supposedly allows slide-in, fully automatic fire. Glock does make an automatic pistol, the Glock 18, which is a Glock 17 with a selector lever on the rear of the slide on the left side. Properly used by competent shooters, which means firing 2-3 round bursts, the 18 is entirely controllable. What we don’t know is how many of these devices are in circulation and how many have been used in crimes. We also

I’ve written about how the left uses language to (often falsely) shape political and social narratives. Abortion is “health care.” Illegal aliens are “undocumented citizens.” The homeless are the “unhoused,” or recently and more and more ridiculously, “people experiencing homelessness,” while people who have ties to Latin America are “Latinx” (although most Latinos in reality want nothing to do with the term). One the silliest arguments they regularly bring forth, though, is regarding the term “woman”—what does it mean? Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson doesn’t know; meanwhile, many leftists define it as “anyone who identifies as one.” Right. Enter Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers (D, but you probably already knew that),

It’s been an exhausting four weeks for anyone watching the administration’s effort to reshape, modernize, and clean up the federal government. It’s been an avalanche of Executive Orders, confirmation hearings, court battles, and staff reshufflings and removals. “The choice was between a slow canoe ride through more of the same, or a roller coaster. Americans chose the roller coaster.” A lot of things have been made clear. The most significant is that as things were going, the roles of the president and Congress had been largely diminished in recent years. Unelected bureaucrats in the U.S. Treasury were in charge of disbursing the money allocated by the federal budget to

The Myth of Red State Gun Violence 6 replies

One statistic that the gun-control crowd loves to toss around is that gun violence is highest in deep red states and lowest in deep blue states. And statistically speaking, they're correct. Per the CDC, the states with the highest per capita rates for gun murders are Mississippi, Louisiana, New Mexico, Alabama, and Missouri. The states with the lowest rates are Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Hawaii, New Jersey, and New York. So what's going on here? Is this simply a systemic problem of violent, gun totin', insurrectionist inbreds barreling through the backwoods in their pickup trucks, yeehawing and looking for my-NAHR-uh-ties to shoot?
