Sadly there is a group who will obey such a dictate but not realize they are being groomed to simply obey future dictates. They likely don't realize that even the largest institutions who pushed DEI have abandoned those programs because they were being sued for discrimination. They were fostering an environment that was also becoming toxic which created a hostile work environment which is another matter for litigation.

When Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) went to the steakhouse at the Four Seasons in Washington, D.C. Monday night to dine with (alleged) lobbyists he was a little too loose-lipped, and sadly for him conservative journalist Nick Sortor was seated at the table next to him and heard it all. In fact, Sortor says Swalwell "invaded" his table while he was "inebriated at dinner," and promised a video recap. Sortor says he has audio of the conversation, but he hasn't yet released it.
