If you haven’t heard, leftists are taking their ball and going home, like petulant toddlers, on Friday, February 28. The news on socialist...er, social media lately has been about the “Feb. 28 economic blackout,” which is supposed to be a protest by leftists over the fact that they lost the election. They want people to refrain from participating in the economy for 24 hours — specifically those major retailers that dared scale back on Didn’t Earn It efforts.[Snip] Remember that the order from the left is “no Amazon, no Walmart, no fast food,”

Sounds like a great day to go shopping without the unshowered people in the stores.

Hope they refuse to buy eggs. But they'll probably just not buy Depends.

I don't normally shop on Friday but now I'm sure I will. I also leave all my lights on to celebrate Earth Day.

Friday looks like a good shopping day, and even though we don't normally eat fast food, Friday is beginning to look like fast food Friday!

Sadly there is a group who will obey such a dictate but not realize they are being groomed to simply obey future dictates.
They likely don't realize that even the largest institutions who pushed DEI have abandoned those programs because they were being sued for discrimination. They were fostering an environment that was also becoming toxic which created a hostile work environment which is another matter for litigation.

Does that mean that they won't go to work or shoplift?

Friday is payday for a lot of people. They'll be shopping for groceries, as usual.

I needed to run to the grocery store tomorrow to pick up a few things; I'll stock up the freezer while I'm out. And guess I'll stop by Walmart and grab cat supplies. Might get some paper goods, too. I'll treat myself to a meal while I'm at it.

Don’t know how anecdotal evidence is stacking up in your neck of the woods, but I am gratified to report that there were long lines and 30 minute waits for fast food breakfasts around here, and plans to shop at the local Walmart Supercenter, and order online from Amazon.
I hope the Anti-Trump Boycott is achieving the same blowback across the rest of the state & country.
It was kind of amusing to hear about an anti -Trumper telling her co-workers that she had never seen the breakfast line so long at her favorite fast food morning stop. She couldn’t understand why - had no idea there was supposed to be a nation wide boycott by anti-Trumpers. My friend who works with her said, “I didn’t tell her.” ; )
