The tariffs come just a week after Trump promised to suspend tariffs on Canada and Mexico. They echo steel and aluminum tariffs Trump imposed during his first administration, though at that point those were imposed explicitly on national security grounds.

Despite enjoying a huge lead in fundraising, legacy media favoritism, and incumbency, in the 2024 election, Democrats lost the White House to Donald Trump. Ever since, they have offered nothing new, no novel agenda, no innovative policies—nothing other than screaming that they are loudly against everything and anything that the president is for. In the past, what did they accomplish by following their prior two impeachments with attempts to de-ballot Trump?

This is a good strategic move. Security Clearances are the credentialed currency of those who work in the DC administrative state. Specifically, a lawyer inside the DC machine is essentially of no value without a security clearance. Additionally, the absence of a security clearance opens up both parties in DC to legal exposure from discussing or receiving information that is defined by the apparatus as NSI (national security information). And the cherry on the top of the proverbial cake is that Lawfare uses their definitions of NSI in an attempt to stop sunlight on their corrupt activity. Revocation of security clearances is a win, win, win; a triple winnamin.

In 2007, Al Gore was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for simply talking about climate change. Now, the person who has arguably prevented more climate change than anyone else who preaches about climate change, Elon Musk, has been nominated for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize. Some may assume the Peace Prize is usually given to someone who directly prevents or ends war, such as Theodore Roosevelt and Jimmy Carter, who were instrumental in resolving conflicts like the Russo-Japanese War and the Egypt-Israel peace process.

Boeing Vice President David Dutcher warned workers on the company's Space Launch System (SLS) to prepare for layoffs on Friday if NASA finally cancels the rocket providing lift for the Artemis lunar program. The political fallout could make heads explode. Eric Burger has the details on Dutcher's emergency all-hands meeting, but they aren't all that interesting. What is interesting is what happens when and if a team led by SpaceX founder Elon Musk tries to cancel a multibillion-dollar project led by Boeing. Artemis is the U.S.-led international effort to establish a sustainable human presence on the moon, but to borrow a New England expression, we "can't get there from here"

Elon Musk reported early Monday morning that FEMA sent $59 million just last week to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants. According to Musk, sending this money to these high-end hotels violated the law. This directly interferes with President Trump’s executive order. And why is FEMA paying for illegal alien housing when they ignore Americans suffering and living in tents in places like North Carolina? FEMA funds are meant for American disaster relief and not to fund Joe Biden’s invasion.

The Israeli press has reported on the treatment of their hostages by the Nazis of Hamas. The appalling emaciation of the hostages is easily explained. They were deliberately starved (Israel Hayom). The starvation was one element of the criminal mistreatment (Ynet News) to which they were subjected. Did President In Name Only Joe Biden ever express concern over the treatment of the hostages while forcing the Israelis to feed their captors? I don’t recall that he did. If so, he didn’t make much of a fuss about it, did he? He preferred to work on deposing the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. If Biden were still PINO, moreover,

Forget about “national security concerns” and all their bellyaching over Trump’s “erratic behavior.” That’s not why they revoked Trump’s intelligence briefings in 2021. Not only were the Democrats lying, but the opposite was true — and I’ll prove it to you. Exactly four years and two days ago, President Biden discontinued the bipartisan practice of allowing ex-presidents to receive national security briefings, taking the unprecedented step of blacklisting Trump. In an interview with CBS News, Biden explained his (ahem) thought process: “I just think that there is no need for [Trump] to have the — the intelligence briefings. What value is giving him an intelligence briefing?

The AI summit has drawn world leaders, top tech executives, and policymakers to discuss artificial intelligence’s impact

Americans mostly want smaller, more effective government that spends less of their money while still doing essential things that only governments can do. But, in the latest I&I/TIPP Poll, there’s one area where people see a definite role for government: The ongoing U.S.-China battle to dominate the global artificial intelligence (AI) market, estimated to be worth trillions of dollars. America had a kind of “Sputnik moment” recently, as tech author Charles Hugh Smith put it, after claims were made that China’s “DeepSeek” R1 AI software had leapfrogged other global AI versions and that it did so with an unbelievably parsimonious development cost of only $6 million.

How is it that Democrats and progressives can ignore illegal and immoral actions within their own party and fixate on denouncing the perfectly legal and moral actions of Republicans and MAGA supporters? Back in 2009, Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) declared that "illegal migration is wrong, plain and simple. Persons who enter the U.S. without permission are illegal aliens and should not be treated the same as those who entered legally." By 2022, 11 million illegals had entered the United States during the Biden/Harris administration, and Senator Schumer was advocating for their citizenship. Many say he's doing more than they expected — and of those who say this, most like what they see. Very few think he's doing less. His partisans and his voters, in particular, say he's got the right amount of focus on matters like ending diversity, equity and inclusion programs and deporting those who are in the country illegally. His deportation policy finds majority approval overall — just as most voters said they wanted during the campaign
