During his bid to reclaim the White House, President Trump pledged to pare down the federal government and said Elon Musk would play a role in that effort. The Democrats evidently expected this project to go the way of the ineffectual Simpson-Bowles and Grace Commissions. Consequently, they were less than pleased when Trump rebranded the United States Digital Service (USDS) as the United States DOGE Service and promptly sicced it on the bureaucratic leviathan. The public differs with the Democrats, however. According to Newsweek, a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll found that “61 percent of U.S. adults support Trump’s plan to downsize the federal government.”

The Democratic Party is polling about 31 percent approval, a near-historic low. Despite enjoying a huge lead in fundraising, legacy media favoritism, and incumbency, in the 2024 election, Democrats lost the White House to Donald Trump. Ever since, they have offered nothing new, no novel agenda, no innovative policies—nothing other than screaming that they are loudly against everything and anything that the president is for. In the past, what did they accomplish by following their prior two impeachments with attempts to de-ballot Trump?

In 2007, Al Gore was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for simply talking about climate change. Now, the person who has arguably prevented more climate change than anyone else who preaches about climate change, Elon Musk, has been nominated for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize. Some may assume the Peace Prize is usually given to someone who directly prevents or ends war, such as Theodore Roosevelt and Jimmy Carter, who were instrumental in resolving conflicts like the Russo-Japanese War and the Egypt-Israel peace process.

Interference in another country's internal affairs? Sure, if you're the Vatican, or more specifically, the Vatican's big umbrella NGO of NGOs known as Caritas, whose U.S. arms include Catholic Charities and Catholic Relief Services. According to the Associated Press: VATICAN CITY -- The Vatican's charity said Monday that U.S. plans to gut USAID were “reckless” and could kill millions, while Pope Francis’ point man on development urged the Trump administration to remember Christian principles about caring for others. Cardinal Michael Czerny, a Czech-born Canadian Jesuit, is one of the cardinals most closely associated with Francis’ pontificate and heads the Vatican office responsible for migrants, the environment, the church’s Caritas Internationalis charity and development.

Will it help stave off a potential Armageddon? NASA is training humanity’s most powerful telescope on a “city-killing” asteroid to determine whether or not we need to brace for deep impact. Dubbed 2024 YR4, the building-sized space rock reportedly has a 1-in-43 chance of slamming into Earth in 2032 — up from about 1%, the Independent reported. The asteroid was discovered by NASA in December and is reportedly at the top of NASA’s watch list when it comes to hazards from beyond. (Photo) With this “time-critical” threat potentially on our doorstep, the space agency has enlisted the aid of the James Webb telescope to study 2024 YR4 and gauge how much

Chelsea Clinton claims that 'misinformation' has been weaponized against her after claims she was gifted $84million from the under fire United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Elon Musk and President Donald Trump have attempted to shut down the embattled government agency tasked with humanitarian relief overseas after they agreed the organization was 'beyond repair' and wasting billions. The billionaire 'first buddy' led a civilian review of the federal government with Trump's go-ahead and decided this week to shut down the agency.

For decades, car-making has been the jewel in Germany's industrial crown, a powerful symbol of the country's famous post-war economic miracle. Its "Big Three" brands, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW, have long been praised for their performance, innovation and precision engineering. But today, the German motor industry is struggling. How can it get back on the road to recovery? When you arrive by train in Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, the first thing you see is the Volkswagen factory. Its huge facade, emblazoned with a giant VW logo and flanked by four tall chimneys, dominates one bank of the canal that runs through the city.

A group is planning a nationwide economic blackout as a response to the rollback of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives sparked by the federal government. Why It Matters When President Donald Trump reentered office last month, one of his first calls to action was to end several of the DEI initiatives in the federal government. He mandated in an executive order that funds could be frozen for companies that do not comply. He also outlawed any messaging that promotes inclusion-based language. The orders have caused PBS to close its DEI office, while major companies like Amazon, Target and Google

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — State leaders gathered Tuesday afternoon to push for an assault weapons ban in Rhode Island. Gun violence advocates highlighted tragedies like Parkland and Sandy Hook in their push for the ban. Governor Dan McKee said he was trying to push it through as part of the state budget this time, even as legislators bring it up the traditional way again in the General Assembly. “We were all elected to govern, and the number one job of elected officials in the United States of America is to provide for public safety,” Rep. Jason Knight (D-Dist. 67 Barrington, Warren) said. “Whatever else we’re here to do, that’s job one, we’re here to protect,”

It’s a Croc block! Dozens of schools in at least 20 states across the U.S. have banned students from wearing Crocs to class. School administrators claim students are more likely to struggle to walk when wearing the shoes — which could be deadly in an emergency. (Photo) “It’s actually a safety hazard,” Stoney Pritchett, principal of Bessemer City High School in Alabama, told TODAY. “Man, they can twist the knees, twist the ankles, things like that.”
