It seems President Biden won’t stop at letting his convicted son Hunter off the hook. The White House staff is reportedly pondering an unprecedented, pre-emptive set of presidential pardons for numerous officials who haven’t been formally charged or convicted of federal crimes but may be liable for indictment or conviction under the incoming Trump administration.
Prominent on that list is Dr. Anthony Fauci, former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID).
Why Fauci? Team Biden is mum. But the most likely rationale is a possible perjury charge: Fauci testified under oath in congressional inquiries. At issue: Fauci’s responses to the crucial question of whether American

In September 2022, 17-year-old high school volleyball player Payton McNabb was seriously injured during a match by an opposing player, a boy who decided he was transgender. The injuries Payton received plague her to this day. The Independent Women's Forum has her story and has produced a documentary about her struggle and her heroic journey to stand up for the rights of women and girls. Payton's story highlights, among other things, one of the most pernicious aspects of the transgender movement: the utter disregard for other people. It is not enough that children are sexualized and their bodies and minds irrevocably altered by surgery, hormones, and puberty blockers.

Among the most significant advances in upholding the Second Amendment has been the spread of Constitutional Carry (CC). Circa January 2024, 29 states allow CC:
Louisiana and South Carolina have joined 27 other states in recognizing Constitutional Carry. The others on that roll are: Alabama; Alaska; Arizona; Arkansas; Florida; Georgia; Idaho; Indiana; Iowa; Kansas; Kentucky; Maine; Mississippi; Missouri; Montana; Nebraska; New Hampshire; North Dakota; Ohio; Oklahoma; South Dakota; Tennessee; Texas; Utah; Vermont; West Virginia; and Wyoming. Generally, constitutional carry laws allow citizens not prohibited from gun ownership, such as convicted felons or those judged mentally ill, to carry firearms without government vetting or permits. Usually, such laws specify concealed

The public appearance last fall of a senile Jimmy Carter was one of the worst cases of public elder abuse I’ve ever seen. It was ghoulish of his family to wheel him out in such an undignified condition in service of a political stunt on behalf of the Democratic Party, even if Carter wanted to bask in the glow of knowing that soon he would no longer be regarded as America’s worst modern president after Joe Biden’s ignominious end.
I generally disdain speaking ill of the recently departed, and there are some aspects of real genius to the Carter story, especially his insight into how an obscure figure could rise fast

President Joe Biden, a medically confirmed non-compos mentis elderly man, has displayed the resolute spitefulness that comes with the Alzheimer’s disease, even while allegedly serving his duties as President of the United States.
Coming on the heels of the first world-wide pandemic in a hundred years, the 2020 election provided the perfect environment for the Democrats to try and derail a Trump presidency that had produced several noteworthy economic, political, and social achievements. True to form, the Democrats and the Mainstream Media (MSM) conspired to pull out all the stops to prevent Trump from being re-elected.
The Democrats began their barrage by blaming the COVID pandemic on Trump. Their next move

In name, Joe Biden is America’s 46th president. His “signature” is on official documents. He is photographed periodically, whether in the Oval Office, wandering in foreign lands, or inappropriately sniffing or nibbling young children.
But he is the president in name only.
Is Joe Biden even real? As this tweet illustrates, his height varies. In one photo, Donald Trump and Barack Obama are the same height. In another, Obama is taller than Biden, and in another photo, Biden is taller than Trump. Like an Escher print, this optical illusion begs the question of whether there is more than one “Joe Biden.”
I doubt Barack Obama is growing or shrinking,

When life gives you Lemons... well, there's no making lemonade out of this particular situation.
Former news anchor turned TikTok wannabe Don Lemon, once a member of the CNN cult before it became clear he was too unhinged even for their tastes, went on a rant about the supposed MAGA "cult."
It's unclear from the clip what prompted Lemon's meltdown, but it appears to have something to do with the recent dustup involving Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, and immigration hardliners who had a spirited debate on X regarding the H-1B visa program.
What the former CNN host fails to realize

Transvestite: noun
Someone who adopts the dress or manner or sexual role of the opposite sex.
Transvestism: The practice of dressing in a manner traditionally associated with the opposite sex.
When did transvestites become transexuals? And why? During the fifties here in America, transvestites (remember Christine Jorgensen?) were the stuff of snide jokes. They were laughed at as misfit men trying to be women. Later, there was Bruce Jenner, who also was a transvestite and who later named himself Caitlin Jenner and demanded everyone else call him by that name. Jenner is still a cross-dressing man in women’s clothing. How did Americans get so afraid of calling them transvestites?

Is President Joe Biden making any decisions anymore? Who knows? Probably not. Heck, it was debatable from day one whether he was the one actually in charge of his administration. Well, now he’s made it crystal clear that he’s utterly disconnected from reality.
According to White House insiders, Biden is reportedly lamenting his decision to to drop out of the presidential election, and—try not to laugh—he still believes he could have easily defeated Donald Trump had he stayed in the race.

I don’t know if you’re old enough to remember the musical Brigadoon. It was about a Scottish village that disappears in the mists and only reappears once every hundred years. The District of Columbia and its federal components often remind me of that. On a local level (perhaps a tradition from pre-air conditioning days) the place is somnolent for all practical purposes in the summer and even through much of the spring. Then, just before Thanksgiving, the courts suddenly schedule hearings on cases that have been moldering for months in the clerks’ offices and Congress starts to hustle to get a continuing resolution --

“Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.”
Since that quote was first published in 2017 by G. Michael Hopf in Those Who Remain, it has become one of the most oft-quoted phrases in the conservative universe. (I’ve quoted it a number of times.) That’s because it perfectly captures the current state of Western civilization.
I’ve experienced a good bit of that Western civilization. I’ve had the good fortune to have lived over a quarter of my life outside of the United States. I’ve lived in Cuba—albeit on a rather well-known American base rather than in the Communist part—

A recent article in the Wall Street Journal by a Jess Bravin reported that attorneys general of many blue states are not going to give up quietly when Donald Trump, as president, begins to honor his election promises, such as the mass deportation of illegals. “A host of blue states are staffing up and building out legal battle plans for Trump’s return trip to the White House.”
When Donald Trump will be sending ICE agents to blue sanctuary states to solicit help from local sheriffs and other police forces, the only response he may get is “civil and criminal litigation” from entities such as Maryland’s Federal Litigation Unit.
