The Under- and Over-Estimated Jimmy Carter, RIP

The public appearance last fall of a senile Jimmy Carter was one of the worst cases of public elder abuse I’ve ever seen. It was ghoulish of his family to wheel him out in such an undignified condition in service of a political stunt on behalf of the Democratic Party, even if Carter wanted to bask in the glow of knowing that soon he would no longer be regarded as America’s worst modern president after Joe Biden’s ignominious end. I generally disdain speaking ill of the recently departed, and there are some aspects of real genius to the Carter story, especially his insight into how an obscure figure could rise fast

Ooh, I had not seen that picture of Carter in his wheelchair, near death. Wow. That's not the way most of us would want to be remembered. Well meaning but naive, President Carter was a horrible president, a "nookier" engineer, whose mistakes are, to some degree, still with us today, especially as regards Iran and radical Islam. As an ex-president, his involvement with Habitat for Humanity was one of the most selfless things a retired chief executive has done. Unfortunately, he also had a compulsion to write silly books and interfere in foreign affairs long after exiting the presidency; his political instincts were no better than Biden's. That alone makes his a bad ex-president no matter how many houses he helped build with Habitat. In dealing with foreign leaders, some friendly, some not, he had a hard time being on our side, or on Israel's side, and seemed to love dictators, the more fragrant the better. Here's an impromptu poem: "You just know / Jimma inhaled the intoxicating glory of / Fidel's BO." So did the mother of Canadian PM Justin Castreau. She liked the way he stank.

Carter ran for a job that he was unqualified for, won and was unable to rise in stature to meet the demands. Working on roofing and carpentry can never make up for pulling the lid off of Iran and the whole Middle East, embarrassing the country militarily and allowing China to control the Panama Canal. He was a self-righteous simpleton.

What a sad photo. I have not much good to say about Carter. His policies were bad for the USA, and he was a disgusting, yet unwavering supporter of Islamic terrorists. His years long support of terrorists is absolutely, totally unforgivable. Any good he ever did is cancelled by supporting Islamic terrorists.

Carter's "successes" were 1) killing the US economy, 2) giving away the Panama Canal, 3) creating the modern Middle East by enabling the overthrow of the Shaw, and 4) allowing the US military to wither away.

Every time a Republican President made a bold statement on world affairs, whether it was Reagan's "Evil Empire" or W's "Axis of Evil," both totally accurate, you could count on the media wheeling out Jimmy Carter to solemnly pronounce that "it will take the United States twenty years to recover from that statement." You can eulogize the POS if it makes you feel better.

People that worked with Carter leaked out that he was an anti-Semite. One guy quit and refused to help him on a book because of what he characterized as anti-Semitism within the pages of the book and not only from what he heard in person. I suspect Carter was one of those Baptists that hated Jews because "they killed Jesus".

It seems like just this summer that I wished Presidentish Joe Biden a "fondless farewell" as "easily the worst human being to hold the office of president of the United States." [Steve, it was just last summer —Editor] But now that the man whose "ability to f*** things up" has never been underestimated at this site prepares to leave the office he barely held, let's reminisce about the things we won't miss the most. "Biden exited the stage last night," I wrote of his too-late-for-primetime DNC farewell address, "largely forgotten before he'd walked onto it." Following up on John’s post regarding the terrorist attack outside the Trump International Hotel yesterday in Las Vegas, I want to note that police now say camp-fuel canisters and large firework mortars were stuffed into the back of a Tesla Cybertruck. These materials caused the explosion that killed the driver and inflicted minor injuries on seven others. Elon Musk and Tesla immediately provided assistance to law enforcement in the investigation. Elon himself reported on X that he had “confirmed that the explosion was caused by very large fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck and is unrelated to the vehicle itself.” In fact, the design

Joe Biden’s disastrous presidency is coming to an end, and according to reports, White House staffers describe a somber mood at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, with Biden spending his final weeks in office reflecting on what could have been and probably wondering what other monsters he can pardon. While Biden has recently expressed regret over dropping out and says he could have won, according to the Wall Street Journal, that belief “isn’t widely shared in the White House or among the Democratic establishment, where the more common view is that the party would have suffered a much larger electoral defeat and lost even more congressional seats had Biden remained the nominee.”

Looking back over this year, and really the last eight years, perhaps the oddest observation is the degree to which the media was apparently motivated by one thing: if Trump said it, it must be wrong! I started thinking about that this morning when Jonathan Turley observed the degree to which the media and the conventional wisdom combined to suppress and even explicitly censor the theory that SARS-CoV-2, the “COVID virus,” originated in a lab leak. The whole history of theories of the origin of COVID-19 was full of people announcing with absolute certainty that it originated in one particular way, generally with limited data. Some of the theories were

More pure idiocy from green pushers spread by the complicit media, via Yahoo News: Climate change is making plants less nutritious − that could already be hurting animals that are grazers More than one-third of all animals on Earth, from beetles to cows to elephants, depend on plant-based diets. Plants are a low-calorie food source, so it can be challenging for animals to consume enough energy to meet their needs. Now climate change is reducing the nutritional value of some foods that plant eaters rely on. Human activities are increasing atmospheric carbon dioxide levels and raising global temperatures. As a result, many plants are growing faster across ecosystems worldwide.

The disintegration of the attempted coverup of President Biden’s senility must be the biggest American news story of 2024. President Trump highlighted the contribution of prominent Democrats to the coverup in the video compilation below. Who are your favorite contributors? Attorney General Merrick Garland is probably mine. Thanks to the reviled Mitch McConnell, Garland does not hold a lifetime appointment on the Supreme Court. Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen runs a close second. General Milley is beyond category. What a crew. (X) But politicians are always going to lie. The mainstream press is the villain of the story.

It seems President Biden won’t stop at letting his convicted son Hunter off the hook. The White House staff is reportedly pondering an unprecedented, pre-emptive set of presidential pardons for numerous officials who haven’t been formally charged or convicted of federal crimes but may be liable for indictment or conviction under the incoming Trump administration. Prominent on that list is Dr. Anthony Fauci, former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID). Why Fauci? Team Biden is mum. But the most likely rationale is a possible perjury charge: Fauci testified under oath in congressional inquiries. At issue: Fauci’s responses to the crucial question of whether American

In September 2022, 17-year-old high school volleyball player Payton McNabb was seriously injured during a match by an opposing player, a boy who decided he was transgender. The injuries Payton received plague her to this day. The Independent Women's Forum has her story and has produced a documentary about her struggle and her heroic journey to stand up for the rights of women and girls. Payton's story highlights, among other things, one of the most pernicious aspects of the transgender movement: the utter disregard for other people. It is not enough that children are sexualized and their bodies and minds irrevocably altered by surgery, hormones, and puberty blockers.

President Joe Biden, a medically confirmed non-compos mentis elderly man, has displayed the resolute spitefulness that comes with the Alzheimer’s disease, even while allegedly serving his duties as President of the United States. Coming on the heels of the first world-wide pandemic in a hundred years, the 2020 election provided the perfect environment for the Democrats to try and derail a Trump presidency that had produced several noteworthy economic, political, and social achievements. True to form, the Democrats and the Mainstream Media (MSM) conspired to pull out all the stops to prevent Trump from being re-elected. The Democrats began their barrage by blaming the COVID pandemic on Trump. Their next move

In name, Joe Biden is America’s 46th president. His “signature” is on official documents. He is photographed periodically, whether in the Oval Office, wandering in foreign lands, or inappropriately sniffing or nibbling young children. But he is the president in name only. Is Joe Biden even real? As this tweet illustrates, his height varies. In one photo, Donald Trump and Barack Obama are the same height. In another, Obama is taller than Biden, and in another photo, Biden is taller than Trump. Like an Escher print, this optical illusion begs the question of whether there is more than one “Joe Biden.” I doubt Barack Obama is growing or shrinking,

Joe Biden is preparing to permanently ban new offshore oil and gas development in key U.S. coastal waters, which will be “difficult to revoke protections for sensitive marine areas.” This last-ditch effort to block President-elect Donald Trump’s energy agenda is expected to be enshrined in an executive order, marking yet another chapter in Biden’s war on American energy. Sources familiar with the plan have revealed that Biden’s order will leverage a 72-year-old law—the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act—to solidify protections that are notoriously difficult to reverse, Bloomberg reported.

This is truly chilling, especially in the wake of today’s terror attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas. A former CIA officer named Sarah Adams was interviewed on the Shawn Ryan podcast just two weeks ago, and warned that there are more than a thousand al-Qaeda sleepers in the United States right now who are planning major attacks on the homeland. She clearly implicates Biden’s open southern border as the entry point for these potential terrorists and suggests that they have developed new tactics and bombs that can evade detection through traditional means.
