Bud Light slips even further down list

Bud Light's popularity continues to decline more than a year after a boycott disrupted the US beer industry. A backlash that began last April - after the beer giant used a transgender influencer in an advert - has snowballed, new sales figures show. Back then, Bud Light was the undisputed top-selling beer in American stores by a margin. It had held the place for decades. It fell below Modelo Especial last summer - and now it has slipped to No3 behind Michelob Ultra. Coors Light could overtake Bud Light by the end of the year if the fall in sales - shown in the graph below - continues.

I'm not a frequent beer drinker, but my favorite is Shiner Bock. That said, I do enjoy a Michelob Ultra occasionaly, as well.

Bud Light was never one of my favorites, but I would drink it on occasion. Nowadays I am filled with revulsion when I see their brand. It elicits the same reaction as I get when smelling liver cooking or passing a Moslem. Theres lots of beer out there. I believe I'll buy the brands that have pretty girls in bikinis in their ads, as nature intended.

There is a theory in politics that once a constituency is lost, they don’t come back. The point is, AB is wasting time and money. Former Bud Light customers cannot be recaptured.

Unfortunately, Michelob is THE SAME COMPANY. So 'boycotting' Bud Lite isn't any kind of a boycott if you buy any of the other beers by these same Belgian leftist pukes.

As I got older, beer quit appealing to me. Hard liquor got the job done quicker. I would buy a six-pack or two when I hosted a few guys over for a ball game but always thought it was a watery, low flavor beer. It puzzles me that people with economics degrees seem never to have been taught the basic rule about knowing who makes up your customer base. The trans thing was bad enough but that woman exec trying to justify her screw-up just made it ten times worse.

This is a quote from the article: "The new rankings reflect the ongoing impact of the boycott after transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney posted an Instagram video in April last year that featured a personalized Bud Light can with her image on it." It really angers the crap out of me when the writer uses the pronoun HER to describe this freak!

Funny nobody wants to drink queer beer except, well maybe people with atypical interests. Nobody drinking Michelob Ultra is exactly a beer connoisseur. They just don't want to be mistaken for a fruit loop. In many ways this was the most impactful marketing campaign of all time, just not in the direction intended. You really need to know your customers.

One of the basic premises of customer service is that a company that apologizes to a complaining customer has a chance to retain the customer. A company that doesn't, will lose that customer, and many people in the customer's circle of influence. Bud Light never apologized.

The company catered to a group that did not drink its beer, and turned their backs on the larger group that did drink its beer. A Coke VP was talking to a Bud Light VP. CVP: 'Our new coke decision was a marketing disaster. The worst disaster in history!" BLVP: "Hold my beer".

Sitting in the Oval Office behind the iconic Resolute desk in 2022, an animated President Joe Biden described the challenge of leading a psychologically traumatized nation. [SNIP] Rice University historian Douglas Brinkley said Biden arrived as a reprieve from a nation exhausted by Trump and the pandemic. “He was a perfect person for that moment,” said Brinkley, noting Biden proved in era of polarization that bipartisan lawmaking was still possible.

Independent Senator Joe Manchin is considering returning to the Democratic party and jumping in the presidential race now that President Biden has announced he will not seek reelection. The West Virginia Senator had previously been floated as a potential unity candidate during the primary season but declined to run. At the end of May, Manchin left the Democratic party after decades in office as a Democrat and registered as an Independent. But Manchin is now considering reversing course and re-registering as a Democrat to run for president, a source confirmed to DailyMail.com.

Democrats are discussing a possible 'loophole' that can be used to boot Biden out of the presidential race of he refuses to drop out. Delegates at the Democratic National Convention are toying with the options they face if, by the time of the August convention, Biden has not yet stepped aside or dropped out of the race entirely. Politicians are considering a 'good-conscience loophole' that would enable them to vote for a new candidate. As President Joe Biden faces a growing drumbeat of pressure to drop his reelection bid, a majority of Democrats think his vice president would make a good president herself. A new poll from the AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research found that about 6 in 10 Democrats believe Kamala Harris would do a good job in the top slot. About 2 in 10 Democrats don’t believe she would, and another 2 in 10 say they don’t know enough to say. Since Biden’s debate debacle on June 27, many Democrats have privately and even openly looked to Harris to step in and succeed Biden as the party’s presidential nominee.

One of those donors is Whitney Tilson, and he explained to Scripps News that rumors casting doubt on President Biden's political future are continuing to spread throughout the party. [SNIP] Tilson says all of the recent blunders are "setting it up for him to step aside." "There's just extreme urgency here and Biden has basically no support left anywhere — almost anywhere — in the Democratic Party right now," Tilson added.

When the Founding Fathers mutually pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor to each other, they did so “with a firm Reliance on the Protection of divine Providence.” [SNIP] Divine providence was also the only thing standing between Donald Trump and death Saturday evening. Had the would-be assassin’s bullet been a fraction of an inch to the right, we would be having a much different conversation right now. If the attempted murder of Donald Trump “is evidence of the reality of evil in the world,” as Robert Jeffress, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Dallas, said, Trump’s survival is evidence of divine providence.

The small, rural city of Butler woke up Sunday morning in disbelief, grappling with the aftermath of an attempted assassination of a presidential candidate that took place too close to home. [SNIP] Mr. Watterson had driven by the rally while it was ongoing and noticed that the farm show grounds seemed to be lacking strict access and crowd control. These questions will be at the heart of the FBI investigation into probable multiple failures by the Secret Service and others in the lead-up to the attempted assassination of Donald Trump. [SNIP] During 25 years with the FBI, I have seen how countless similar rallies were organised and I consider it highly likely that the Secret Service was responsible for security within an enclosed perimeter, while the local police took charge of the wider zone outside.

President Biden made the historically rare decision Sunday to drop out of the 2024 presidential race, less than four months after being declared the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee and days after a dismal debate showing. The 81-year-old president’s exit from the race – months before Election Day – comes after a debate performance against former President Donald Trump in which the incumbent appeared infirm and was at times incoherent – alarming Democratic donors and strategists. Biden’s withdrawal is expected to set off a free-for-all for the Democratic nomination for president.
