Democratic strategist James Carville said Monday on MSNBC’s “The Beat” that he does not believe former President Donald Trump will attend the presidential debate scheduled for June 27 on CNN.
Host Ari Melber said, “When you look at these debates, this is next week, so people who don’t follow as closely as news viewers, they’re going to realize, here’s the debate. I wanted to mention for folks, the new rule, next week, it will be different. No opening statements, two minutes to answer each questions, red lights visible when time expires. In a big win for the Biden campaign given Trump is a rule breaker, the other

The American Medical Association's House of Delegates Thursday voted 345-171 to decriminalize drug personal use and possession. (snip) The AMA report said decriminalization proponents cite several benefits of no longer criminalizing drug use and possession. Among them are saving money on incarceration, focusing resources on treatment and social services and reducing the stigma of drug use and having a substance abuse disorder.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, having solved all other problems afflicting the Windy City, has turned his attention to the most pressing issue his office has ever faced. Namely, reparations. On June 17, 2024, Johnson authorized spending $500K to study the matter.
Ahead of Juneteenth, Mayor Brandon Johnson signed Executive Order 2024-1, establishing a Reparations Task Force to develop a Black Reparations Agenda. This Task Force is an example of the Administration’s dedication to co-governance, and in partnership with members of the Aldermanic Black Caucus, the Mayor’s offices of Equity and Racial Justice and Business, Economic and Neighborhood Development, and other key City departments

The Secret Service destroyed a video that captured President Joe Biden's dog Commander chomping down on one of its agents - in an attack that forced the White House to shut down tours so blood could be wiped off the floor.
DailyMail.com filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the Secret Service in March after a video was mentioned as part of an email that detailed a June 15, 2023 biting incident with the since-banished first dog.
The video purportedly showed Commander running at a high rate of speed and jumping toward the agent in the East Wing's Kennedy Garden, leaving a 'deep bite' on the individual's left arm

On Monday’s broadcast of “CNN News Central,” co-host Sara Sidner stated that “the economy is doing well, by all measures.” Even though “the prices are high” and said that some Republicans haven’t been giving credit to President Joe Biden for improvements to roads and bridges under the infrastructure law.
While speaking with Biden Campaign Co-Chair Mitch Landrieu, Sidner said, “Look, the economy is doing well, by all measures. Yes, the prices are high. There was also the infrastructure bill that was pushed through that some Republicans in their states have been touting, not giving the credit, of course, to Joe Biden, but telling their citizens that this is a great thing,

Videos exposing President Joe Biden’s age, gaffes, and recent awkwardness in public are “cheap fakes” and published in “bad faith,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed Monday.
During the first press conference in about three weeks, reporters asked Jean-Pierre if the White House was “worried” about Biden’s curious behavior that “appears to be a pattern.” The questions came after a video on Sunday showed former President Barack Obama walking Biden off the stage after the president appeared to freeze at a fundraiser. Another video from last week appeared to show Biden wandering off into the distance in Europe before Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni turned him back to the group.

Just as protesters screaming “From the river to the sea/Palestine will be free” want Israel to disappear, in order to be replaced by a 23rd Arab state, so some people in a New Jersey town wanted to make Jews disappear from this year’s high school yearbook. (Snip)
The 2023-2024 yearbook for East Brunswick High School replaced a photo of the Jewish Student Union (JSU) with Muslim students and erased the names of the members of the JSU, leaving a large blank space on the page.
East Brunswick Mayor Brad Cohen expressed outrage over the incident and said new yearbooks will be ordered.

Nearly three years after the protests on January 6, 2021, Judicial Watch filed a $30 million wrongful death suit against the federal government for the Capitol Police shooting of Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt.
The Washington Examiner reported that the suit was filed on behalf of Babbitt’s estate and her husband, Aaron Babbitt, and claims the officer who shot Babbitt was “incompetent” and “dangerous” and should have recognized Babbitt posed no threat to Congress when she entered the House speaker’s lobby.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton shared on X at the time, “We just filed an important lawsuit. A $30 million dollar wrongful death action against the United States government

On a side note: A human blimp who no doubt supports illegal and unwarranted land seizures (evidenced by the shemagh draped around her shoulders) chanting about a “greedy side” is peak irony.

A New York Appeals court on Tuesday denied Trump’s bid to appeal a gag order in Alvin Bragg’s case after a jury already returned a guilty verdict.
President Trump previously asked the Court to lift the gag order “because the trial has concluded.”
Biden’s DOJ hatchet man Matthew Colangelo earlier this month asked Merchan to keep the gag order in place to “avoid threats to the fairness of the trial itself.”
Alvin Bragg’s prosecutors asked Judge Juan Merchan to keep Trump’s gag order in place even though a jury returned a guilty verdict in the ‘hush money.’

A group of good Samaritans helped nab the 25-year-old Ecuadorean migrant wanted for the brutal sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl at a Queens park — smacking him around and tying him up with a belt.
Dramatic video and photos obtained by The Post shows the shirtless creep cowering on the sidewalk early Tuesday as the angry mob pounds him and calls him out as “a rapist.”
“Where are you going? Where are you going?” a woman is heard screaming in Spanish while clutching his hair. “He’s a rapist. He don’t care.”
The footage shows the suspected abuser crawling under a parked car to get away from the angry vigilante mob,

Stories about Missouri Democratic Rep. Cori Bush miraculously healing a woman with tumors and causing a sick toddler to walk have resurfaced.
In her 2022 autobiography "The Forerunner: A Story of Pain and Perseverance in America," Bush wrote about her time working as a faith healer. During that time, the New York Post first reported she claimed that she had an almost supernatural ability within her to heal others.
One instance included helping a disabled toddler to walk.
"The child had had a bleed in her brain, shortly after she was born, and so couldn’t walk. She had never taken a step in her life," Bush wrote.
