Just as protesters screaming “From the river to the sea/Palestine will be free” want Israel to disappear, in order to be replaced by a 23rd Arab state, so some people in a New Jersey town wanted to make Jews disappear from this year’s high school yearbook. (Snip)
The 2023-2024 yearbook for East Brunswick High School replaced a photo of the Jewish Student Union (JSU) with Muslim students and erased the names of the members of the JSU, leaving a large blank space on the page.
East Brunswick Mayor Brad Cohen expressed outrage over the incident and said new yearbooks will be ordered.

I find this behavior prototypical of the garbage who inhabit New Jersey! Witness the treasonous Phil Murphy!

My husband’s family arrived in that part of NJ from Wales in the mid 1700’s and after a couple of decades looked around and said, “Holy crap, we’re in New Jersey.” They then packed up and moved to Louisiana.

Maybe those making such a RACIST decision should be the ones going to a REeducation camp. Show them pics of the holocaust til they wake up. Maybe they don't want pics of blacks either.

A Western country is a place of belonging and protection and, when it ceases to be, its leaders have failed. Based on the lie that humans of all backgrounds, habits and beliefs can be smashed together and, with enough political pressure, find a way to get along peacefully, the West has become unrecognizable. We don’t have to hate Muslims to admit that their presence in great numbers have changed peaceful thriving societies into frightening hellscapes of open hatred and violence. Go to any airport in any Western country and remember how it used to be before Islam became a force in the ‘90’s and especially after 2001. We can’t even carry a can of coke or bottled water brought from home onto a flight. This is not the way our forefathers fought for us to have to live. As Douglas Murray said, the West hasn’t failed Muslims, Muslims have failed the West.

Very primitive thinking. The Jews aren't going anywhere.

This is an outrage. It is a shame what some people in our country have become, thanks to the liberal far left thinking that is now a plague engulfing all of us. Somehow this must be stopped.

It is appalling that this is happening in America. Can one be blamed for harboring resentment and even hatred towards Muslims. And don’t tell me that tired fib about how every Muslim isn’t a terrorist!

Someone needs to find the name of the yearbook's faculty advisor and make that person famous.

Any faculty involved in this must be fired, and any students involved immediately suspended. Period.

This happens if there is a Muslim-dominated student yearbook staff and a Muslim faculty advisor, with the school in a Muslim majority neighborhood. It would be interesting to know the demographics of the school district.

To say this is outrageous underplays the seriousness of this act. Every single day we get closer and closer to German in the 1930s and our government, state, city and federal sit idly by as these atrocities continue. Our brave and courageous (sarcasm on) republicans in the House should immediately, IMMEDIATELY, strip that school of every single dollar of federal funding. I don't care how they do it, but find a way. And do it now. Until there are serious consequences for heinous acts like this, these terrorists and Nazis will continue their march toward even greater atrocities against our Jewish friends and family. It happened in Germany and if these past 10 years have taught us anything, don't ever say it can never happen here.

If I remember correctly, the photos and text from the yearbook committee are sent to a publisher to arrange and print the books. Look right there.
If it's the publisher a lawsuit is in order.

High school yearbook sponsors have the responsibility to review and approve every page of the book before submission to the publisher.

This was NO WAY this outrage is an "error"; it was done deliberately by someone. That person (s) must be found and consequences must be forthcoming. The result of their investigation must also be made public along with the name(s) of the perps. None of them should be left off the hook. At the very LEAST each of the students and their parents should receive a SINCERE apology from the school district as well as the perps. It cannot be of the "I apologize if you were offended" type.

Each time something like this occurs, the yearbook advisors act surprised, students act innocent and nobody is held accountable. Photos and names don't just disappear or change. Nobody proofs the yearbook anymore?

The person(s) who deleted the images and names from the yearbook should be forced to PAY FOR THE CORRECTED REPLACEMENT BOOKS!
I don't know about today, but 50 years ago (I just went to my 50th class reunion), those yearbooks were PRICEY!
