In a daring feat masterfully executed, the Israeli Defense Force rescued four of the hostages in Gaza. Most touching of all was the rescue of Noa Argamani, whose mother is dying of brain cancer, who had prayed she’d be reunited with her daughter before she died. The hostages had been held by private citizens in two separate apartments 200 feet apart within the central market of Nuseirat in Gaza and the rescuers had to stage a difficult simultaneous operation to free them. They operated under heavy fire from Hamas and local citizens.

U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) charges that President Biden’s advanced age is “projecting weakness on the world stage.” Johnson referenced a Wall Street Journal front page story from June 24, headlined "Behind Closed Doors, Biden Shows Signs of Slipping." On his weekly Salem Radio Network program THIS WEEK ON THE HILL (10am ET on Salem News Channel and radio affiliates), Johnson cited a one-on-one meeting he had with Biden in the Oval Office discussing the President’s executive order halting America’s exporting Liquid Natural Gas. Biden allegedly could not remember signing that order, and suggested Johnson was mistaken.

Hartford, Connecticut’s Mayor Arunan Arulampalam (D) is denouncing residents of a predominately black community for arming themselves to fight violent crime.
The New York Post reported the residents, approximately 40 in all, are calling themselves the “Self-Defense Brigade.” The armed residents patrol the streets of their neighborhood at night and keep an eye on homes and businesses via drones.
The brigade was founded by Cornell Lewis, who told FOX News, “The Democrat machine in Hartford is either unwilling or unable, incapable, of doing it, and people are paying their tax dollars, and they’re not really getting any kind of service.
Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters — some openly supporting Hamas and other terror groups — surrounded the White House on Saturday, vandalizing a statue and assaulting a U.S. Park Police officer who tried to protect it.
The protest happened on the day Israel successfully rescued four hostages from Hamas’s clutches in a raid in Gaza.

In an opinion piece published on Friday by Fox News, historian Craig Shirley, author of “Rendezvous with Destiny: Ronald Reagan and the Campaign That Changed America,” credited former President Donald Trump with following the same “genius” strategy that helped Reagan win New York state en route to a resounding victory over President Jimmy Carter in the 1980 presidential election.
In fact, Shirley described deep-blue New York as “ripe for picking by Trump in this fall’s election.”
A prolific author who once worked for Reagan, Shirley based his conclusion on recent polling.
Donald Trump’s disgraced former attorney Michael Cohen has claimed that the former president is planning to assassinate his political enemies if he returns to the White House next year.
Appearing on MSNBC with host Ali Velshi, Cohen claimed that people will “start flying out of windows” if he wins the election in November.
