On Saturday morning Israeli forces stormed two buildings in Nuseirat, Gaza. Their mission was to rescue four hostages being held in the "refugee camp," all of whom were taken from the Nova Music Festival on October 7th. What they found wasn't a Hamas command center, though. Instead, the hostages were being kept in alleged civilian households. Fierce fighting broke out, with a "journalist" named Abdullah Al Jamal killed as one of the apartments was breached. That led to immediate claims that Israel had indiscriminately gunned down a member of the press.
The truth was far more sinister. As RedState's Jennifer Van Laar first reported, the three male hostages who were successfully

If you're hanging on to your car longer than ever, welcome to the club. Recent reports show that the average age of the American car is older than ever — and it's for the same reason that the newest Star Wars show just flopped harder than anything since the notorious 1978 holiday special.
No, I didn't just break into Hunter Biden's stash.
When I first read a couple of weeks ago that the average age of cars on the road had hit an all-time high of 12.6 years, I figured it was worth a brief mention on Instapundit. That's up from 11 years in 2014 and much of the increase

Another pair of polls show Americans are continuing their turn against the radical transgender agenda.
A Pew Research poll finds that a growing majority of voters say that a person’s feelings about his or her “gender” is tied to their biological sex. This conclusion contradicts claims by transgender activists, who insist the government should treat each person’s “gender” feelings as more important than the reality of biological sex. Pew finds that a growing number of voters say that gender is determined at birth and can’t be “chosen” at will.
The poll released last week found that 65 percent

Democrats keep trying to turn Texas into a purple state, and if you look at the election results from 2018, you can see why they thought they had an outside shot. Ted Cruz squeaked by against Beto O'Rourke that year.
However, more recent elections have looked pretty bad for Democrats, and it's pretty safe to predict that Cruz will cruise to victory and Trump's campaign message will trump Biden's.
Democrats had counted on demographics helping them out--Hispanics have been gaining in numbers, and they had traditionally been in the Democrat's electoral column. There are now more Hispanics in the state than non-Hispanic Whites, and they make up an absolute majority

We reported earlier how French President Emmanuel Macron announced he was dissolving the National Assembly and calling for snap elections after his party got shellacked in European Parliament balloting. Now the fallout has spread further, as Belgium’s leftist Prime Minister Alexander De Croo announced his decision to step down as his party also got smoked: Although he will oversee a caretaker government until a new coalition is created, he will nevertheless hand in his resignation to Belgium’s King Philippe on Monday at the royal palace in Brussels.
The results in both France and Belgium indicate a growing political move in Europe

WASHINGTON - The Biden administration is close to finalizing a treaty with Saudi Arabia that would commit the U.S. to help defend the Gulf nation as part of a deal aimed at encouraging diplomatic ties between Riyadh and Israel, the Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday, citing U.S. and Saudi officials.
The possible deal, widely telegraphed by U.S. and other officials for weeks, is part of a wider package that would include a U.S.-Saudi civil nuclear pact, steps toward the establishment of a Palestinian state and an end to the war in Gaza, where months of ceasefire efforts have failed to bring peace. Approval of the treaty,

Early projections of the EU-election results show that the continent’s right-wing parties have made significant advances as voters signal their dissatisfaction with illegal immigration and inflation. Formerly powerful left-wing parties seem to have been routed, while centrists stayed the course.
This antiestablishment sentiment was expressed most strongly in Germany and France, two of the European bloc’s most powerful countries.
The French results prompted President Emmanuel Macron to dissolve the French parliament in preparation for snap elections on June 30 and July 7, as his party lost badly

Green parties have shed seats in the European elections, provisional results suggest, raising fears that the continent may be on the verge of weakening its climate ambitions. Projections for the new European parliament showed the Green faction pushed from fourth into sixth place, with 53 seats, amid a broader shift to the right.
In Germany, a core Green stronghold, the party’s vote share appears to have nearly halved since the last election in 2019. Exit polls suggested it fell 8.5 percentage points from 20.5% to 12%. In France, where the far right was leading and President Emmanuel Macron called snap elections, support for the Greens fell by the same amount.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed Sunday that all three of the male hostages rescued on Saturday were held by Abdallah Aljamal, a “journalist” who contributed to the Palestine Chronicle and Al Jazeera.
As Breitbart News reported Saturday, four hostages — Noa Argamani, 25; Almog Meir Jan, 21; Andrey Kozlov, 27; and Shlomi Ziv, 40 — were rescued in a joint operation by the IDF, ISA, and the Israeli police. One Israeli police officer, Arnon Zamora, was killed in the operation. As Breitbart News reported, he was revealed to have had another job, as the spokesperson for the Hamas-run Palestinian Department of Labor in Gaza. But speculation

French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday said he would dissolve the country's parliament and call for a new legislative nationwide vote after suffering a heavy defeat at EU elections.
The shock announcement came after exit polls published by public broadcaster France TV indicated that Marine Le Pen's far-right National Rally (Rassemblement National, or RN) is set to win around 31.5% of the vote, compared to 15.2% for Macron's Renaissance party. "I will ... not be able, at the end of this day, to act as if nothing had happened," Macron said in a TV address, according to a translation by CNBC.

The recent discovery of potentially valuable byproducts from a Pennsylvania fracking site could supply nearly half of the U.S.’s lithium needs, prompting Republican lawmakers to call on their Democrat counterparts to ditch their anti-gas crusade.
A University of Pittsburgh study, published in Nature’s “Scientific Reports,” estimated that annual lithium yields from the Marcellus Shale — a massive rock formation with natural gas lying beneath parts of Pennsylvania and surrounding states — totaled 1,278 tons. Wastewater produced in the fracking process has “substantial extractable lithium,” researchers Justin Mackey, Daniel J. Bain, Greg Lackey, James Gardiner, Djuna Gulliver, and Barbara Kutchko found.

The sun rising on Saturday brought with it welcome news about the hostages who are still being held captive by Hamas terrorists since the attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. As we wrote in several articles, members of Israel's armed forces and police pulled off a daring raid, rescuing four Israelis from their captors in Gaza. As my colleague Bonchie wrote, the joyful news wasn't received that way by pro-Hamas protesters in our nation's capital, who apparently had a game plan to "surround the White House," in hopes of swaying President Biden to their hateful position against our ally Israel. They also clashed with police
