Oberlin College ended up paying over $36 million in the Gibson’s Bakery case, after exhausting all appeals. It was not a voluntary payment, it was either that, or the Gibsons could start seizing college property. [Snip] Oberlin College then sued several of its insurers, seeking coverage for some or all of the payout. The Libertarian Party has chosen 38-year-old Chase Oliver as its 2024 presidential nominee.
An openly gay former Democrat who once supported Barack Obama, Oliver used his victory speech to rail against the U.S. “war machine” and demand an end to the “genocide in Gaza,” according to the Washington Examiner.
