Team Biden, perhaps trying to soothe some of the people upset about the fist bump, is claiming that Biden confronted MBS about the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. President Biden said Friday night that he brought up the murder of Jamal Khashoggi during his closed-door meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and told the prince that he considered him to blame.

Joe Biden has often tried to pretend he’s a tough guy who’s not to be messed with. During the 2020 campaign, he humorously claimed that Putin didn’t want him to be president because he was the only candidate who’d ever “gone toe-to-toe with him.” Biden has similarly talked a lot of tough talk about Saudi Arabia and even called the Saudi kingdom a global “pariah” due to its poor human rights record and the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018. And then, of course, he went over to Saudi Arabi this week, fist-bumped with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), and maybe even had a little sleepover, for all we know.

There have been plenty of clownish families over the years who have somehow managed to find themselves in places of prominence on America’s political stage. Perhaps most notable was the Carter Family in the late 1970s. Jimmy Carter was a pathetic leader, and his beer-guzzling, hillbilly brother Billy was a family embarrassment; but at least the Carters had Lillian as the spunky matriarch. We also have the Cuomo Family, of course, with unemployed former CNN hack Fredo and disgraced grandparent-killer Andrew. And then, we have the Bidens… a family that makes the Carters and Cuomos look like the Roosevelts.

Ricky Martin, the self-proclaimed ‘King Of Latin Pop,’ is a global superstar. Many may associate Martin with his 1999 smash hit, Livin’ La Vida Loca which made him a worldwide superstar, along with dozens of other successful songs over the years. Others may recall Martin’s younger days when he was member of the popular and seemingly never-ending boy band Menudo. And still others may simply know the Puerto Rican pop star by his dashing good looks and his frequent appearance on the covers of supermarket tabloids for over two decades. Most Americans know who Ricky Martin is,

CHEYENNE – In the Republican race to represent Wyoming in the U.S. House of Representatives, a new and independent poll shows there is a clear front-runner: Harriet Hageman. (Snip) Cheney trails Hageman 52% to 30%, the Star-Tribune reported on its website Friday afternoon. The survey conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy included some 1,100 registered voters who the newspaper said are likely to participate in the primary. Respondents were queried July 7-11, which the paper noted was shortly after early voting got underway statewide. The results are broadly consistent with other polls taken by organizations with a potential stake in the

“First lady Jill Biden apologized for her recent comments comparing latinos to breakfast tacos at a Hispanic conference in San Antonio, Texas,” reported Fox News on July 12th. I’d say producing a tourism commercial to boost the income of the terror-sponsoring regime whose lifelong obsession is the destruction of the nation Jill Biden presides over as First Lady is much worse than the taco quip—especially when this tourism commercial was co-produced with a KGB-trained spy who was booted from the U.S. for espionage. During an interview aired on Friday’s edition of CNN’s “Situation Room,” Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir, who was inside President Joe Biden’s meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, refused to commit to boosting oil production, denied Biden pressed them on the issue, and argued that “The problem of gasoline in the United States is more a function of the lack of refining capacity in the United States than a shortage of actual crude oil.” Host Wolf Blitzer asked, “Did President Biden ask you, Saudi Arabia, to increase oil production with the hope that it would reduce the price of gasoline in the United States?”

The House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot subpoenaed the Secret Service on Friday night after a government watchdog said agents deleted text messages exchanged around the time of the insurrection. Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-Miss) said in a statement the committee is demanding the Secret Service hand over the “erased” messages and a slew of other documents by Tuesday.

I had breakfast in Budapest this morning with an American academic on vacation with his family. We talked about the turmoil in the world; like me, he is a Christian. He has been working in the Baltic countries for the past few years, and said that those places are beginning to re-paganize. About the Christian churches in the West, he said that it feels to him like we are at the point of the downfall of the Kingdom of Judah, just before the Jews were taken to Babylon in captivity. He said that in those days, many false prophets appeared, telling the Jews what they wanted to hear:

Spectacular and groundbreaking snapshots of the early cosmos gripped the world earlier this week when NASA released the first images from its new super space telescope. James Webb captured an unprecedented look at a 'stellar nursery', a dying star cloaked by dust and a 'cosmic dance' between a group of galaxies, along with hints of water vapor in the atmosphere of a remote exoplanet. What is even more exciting, however, is that astronomers say this is just 'the tip of the iceberg'. It is hoped the $10 billion (£7.4 billion) telescope will also observe the very first stars to shine, detect habitable planets in far-away galaxies and peer back in time

Joe Biden went hat in hand to Saudi Arabia to beg for oil, even meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman after he said he wouldn’t–and after Biden called the kingdom a “pariah” nation. When he came out of the meeting, it was clear Biden had nothing, but he tried to make it appear he had something. “We had a good discussion on ensuring global energy security and adequate oil supplies to support global economic growth,” Biden said. “That will begin shortly. And…I’m doing all I can to increase the supply for the United States of America, which I expect to happen. The Saudis share that urgency and based

Fox News host Tucker Carlson has claimed that President Joe Biden takes 'pills' to boost his cognitive performance before public appearances. Biden, 79, has strenuously rejected similar allegations in the past, but Carlson claimed on his Friday evening show that he had spoken 'directly' to a witness who saw the alleged medication on the 2020 campaign trail. 'His staff, supervised by Dr. Jill, his wife, was giving him pills before every public appearance. Checking the time, and at the certain hour giving him a dose of something,' said Carlson. 'Before taking the medications, this person said Biden was 'Like a small child.' You could not communicate with him,

Andrew Sullivan doesn’t exactly sound eager to support Gov. So get real: If you really believe that Trump remains a unique threat to constitutional democracy in America, you need to consider the possibility that, at this point, a Republican is probably your best bet. One stands out, and it’s Ron DeSantis, the popular governor of Florida. And yet so many Never Trumpers,

Joe Biden once dreamed of an FDR-size domestic-reform agenda. But the collapse of negotiations in Congress on the compromise of the compromise of that agenda will ensure he achieves nothing of the sort — not Roosevelt-size, not Obama-size, nor even Clinton-size. (Bill Clinton managed to increase taxes on the rich, expand the Earned Income Tax Credit, and create a health-care benefit for poor children.) In addition to losing its chance to address any domestic social need in an enduring way, the administration is also having imperiled its global leadership on climate change and a global corporate minimum tax, two measures that hinged on Biden getting

According to the official Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) news release, inflation is being felt keenly and across the board: The increase was broad-based, with the indexes for gasoline, shelter, and food being the largest contributors. The energy index rose 7.5 percent over the month and contributed nearly half of the all items increase, with the gasoline index rising 11.2 percent and the other major component indexes also rising. The food index rose 1.0 percent in June, as did the food at home index.

As the all-important midterm elections of 2022 get closer, it’s more pressing than ever for the GOP to prepare for whatever shenanigans-laden curveballs the Dems are sure to throw at them. One would hope that the Republicans are finally aware that it’s always a matter of “when” and not “if” the Democrats will try to underhandedly game an election, especially after the debacle of 2020. During the Obama years, I used to say that any GOP candidate had to make sure that he or she was “outside the margin of ACORN.” I’ve updated that to “outside the margin of magic mail-in ballots.”

Ruy Teixeira is one of Washington’s most prominent left-leaning think-tank scholars, a fixture at the Center for American Progress since the liberal organization’s founding in 2003. But as of August 1, he’ll have a new professional home: The American Enterprise Institute, the longtime conservative redoubt that over the years has employed the likes of Newt Gingrich, Dinesh D’Souza, and Robert Bork. Teixeira, whose role in the Beltway scrum often involved arguing against calls to move right on economic issues, insists his own policy views haven’t changed — but says the current cultural milieu of progressive organizations “sends me running screaming from the left.” “My perspective is, the single most important
