Actress Jennifer Grey of Dirty Dancing fame discussed her teenage abortion in a recent interview, claiming that the procedure helped her get out of a dangerous party lifestyle before she made it as an actor.
Grey has released an autobiography, Out of the Corner, in which she reviews her life thus far, but on the heels of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to return the issue of abortion back to the states, Grey insisted that, like her Dirty Dancing film, abortion is a way to help women advance their careers.

First lady Jill Biden complained in front of donors in Nantucket on Saturday, while delivering a speech at a fundraiser.
Speaking about her husband, President Joe Biden, the first lady appeared saddened by what was happening to the world during his presidency.
“He had so many hopes and plans for things he wanted to do, but every time you turned around, he had to address the problems of the moment,” she said.
Biden spoke to about two dozen guests at the fundraiser for the Democrat National Committee, setting aside her prepared remarks for a frank discussion.
“He’s just had some many things thrown his way,” she said.

First lady Jill Biden told donors her husband’s political agenda has been sidetracked by unexpected crises at home and overseas.
Biden, 71, made the remarks during a private Democratic National Committee fundraiser in Nantucket, Mass., as President Joe Biden wrapped up his four-day trip to the Middle East, according to CNN.
Her comments came after pollsters recently found most Democrats don’t want the president to seek a second term. His approval rating was a dismal 33%, and only 13% of Americans thought the country was headed in the right direction, according to a New York Times/Siena College poll released Monday.

Rush Limbaugh's widow Kathryn has quietly put their palatial, Versailles-style Palm Beach mansion on the market for $175million - after snapping up the property for just $4million in the 1990s - even as experts warn it may so dated it could be just torn down by its new owners.
The conservative radio legend, who died in February 2021, snapped up the 24,000-square-foot main house on Palm Beach's North Ocean Boulevard for $3.9 million in 1998, and has since bought up four neighboring properties to build a 2.7-acre estate, with an asking price of between $150 million and $175 million.

Sen. Bernie Sanders appeared for the first time on a Washington Post ranking of potential Democratic presidential hopefuls—that also showed Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg pulling ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris in the No. 2 slot behind President Biden.
Progressive lightning rod Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez remained at No. 10 in the newspaper’s survey of possible contenders in the 2024 election, as California Gov. Gavin Newsom jumped two spots to No. 7 right behind Sanders, and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer debuted on the list at No. 8. Biden wasn’t included in the rankings compiled in December 2021 because of speculation at the time that he would be a one-term

The pay is low. The prestige is falling. The housing is often dilapidated and roach-infested. You move around a lot and your children constantly have to say 'goodbye' to their friends. The wars are lost and the border stands unguarded from invaders. The indoctrination is pure wokesterism, advising you that you're the bad guy and the flag you serve under is worth taking a knee. You take a vaccine known to harm young people, or else. You shower with unreconstructed transgender individuals. You watch as your highly bemedaled top commander doesn't bother with basic military fitness regulations required of you.

CNN host John King thinks voters are being too harsh on Democrats over inflation and is calling for them to be shown “grace” as the fractured party gets slammed over skyrocketing prices and catastrophic policies.
With midterms looming in November when Democrats are widely expected to get thrashed and as Americans are crushed by out-of-control inflation, it has become the overriding factor for most voters and that has Democrats terrified.
The higher inflation goes, the lower President Biden’s poll numbers are and they are already at historic lows. His disapproval rating on inflation is currently a whopping 70 percent, according to CNN’s Harry Enten who pointed out the disastrous number on Wednesday.

Most Democrats at least somewhat believe the U.S. and its institutions are “systemically sexist in favor of men,” as well as racist, a Heartland/Rasmussen Reports survey released this week found.
Most Americans, 58 percent, said they are “very proud” to be an American – a sentiment held by 74 percent of Republicans, 55 percent of independents, and 44 percent of Democrats. Democrats appear to be the least proud among the groups, as 29 percent said they are either not very or not at all proud. Just 8 percent of Republicans and 17 percent of independents said the same.

In 2020, according to exit polls, Joe Biden won the Catholic vote by five percentage points over Donald Trump. But Biden “has lost significant ground with Catholics since his election,” reports Susan Crabtree of RealClearPolitics. Citing “findings in the latest survey of Catholic voter mood by RealClear Opinion Research in partnership with Catholic-themed television network EWTN,” Crabtree writes that now “just 47% of Catholics approve of Biden’s job performance, while 53% disapprove.”
Biden remains popular with Hispanic Catholics — “Biden’s approval rating among Latino Catholics stands at an impressive 59%,” writes Crabtree — but his support among white Catholics has sharply declined and stands at a mere 36 percent.
Comments:
Regardless of who did what. It was still funny to watch congress, under the protection of multiple police agencies, cower in fear to unarmed people after they sat there and encouraged the summer of love.
