Donald Trump: Neither Evil Genius Nor Bumbler replies

During the first term of George W. Bush, I attended a Passover Seder. One of the other guests delivered a long riff about some non-Iraq-related conspiracy Bush supposedly had formulated. I deadpanned, “Wow, that guy sounds like an evil genius.” The guest, who did not know my political leanings replied, “I wouldn’t say genius.” More sophisticated Bush-haters solved the problem I raised with my quip through Vice President Cheney. He was the evil genius; Bush was his stooge. Thus, the left could have its cake and eat it too. That won’t work with President Trump. There is no Dick Cheney in his administration.

It has drawn more than $46,000 dollars, nearly half of its stated $100,000 goal. The money is to go to a local attorney working on behalf of the residents, and its 91 donors include an anonymous contributor who gave $10,000, along with hedge fund managers, executives and authors.

In a country as large as the U.S., previously eradicated diseases such as measles, mumps and whooping cough are making a big comeback. Religious exemptionists are being set up to take the blame in the press. But the question that isn´t being asked is how these epidemics coincide the current migrant surge from Central America, with tens of thousands of unvetted illegal immigrants being released into the interior of the country under catch and release. There´s a measles and mumps resurgence in some of those countries. Why so incurious? It´s as if the press doesn´t want to know,

When Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller finally finished his investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election, his findings were utterly predictable — the Russians had interfered as always, a few of Donald Trump’s former associates had committed unrelated offenses, and there was no evidence indicating that the President had colluded with any foreign power to rob Hillary Clinton of victory. For most Americans, it was good that we don’t have a Manchurian candidate living in the White House. For TDS victims in the media, however, it was a calamity. Commentators stormed, sobbed, and insisted that Trump hadn’t been exonerated.
