A Greenlandic tourism business which was due to host Usha Vance has canceled the trip amid the Trump administration's 'underlying agenda' for the visit. [Snip] It was initially billed as a family-friendly holiday with Usha and one of her children... Then it emerged that she would be joined by embattled National Security advisor Mike Waltz, sparking fury among the nation's leaders--including the prime minister. But the final straw came when Usha's husband, Vice President JD Vance revealed he, too, would join her on the trip... [Snip] 'After closer consideration, however, we have now informed the consulate that we do not want her visit,' the store said.

Nearly two weeks ago a federal judge in California, William Alsup, ordered the Trump administration to rehire thousands of probationary government workers who had been fired in February as part of a government downsizing effort. That ruling applied to six agencies: Veterans Affairs, Defense, Energy, Interior, Agriculture and Treasury.
Later the same night a second judge in Maryland ordered the rehiring of even more probationary employees at a different collection of agencies.
The agencies covered by U.S. District Judge James Bredar’s sweeping order, issued Thursday night, include the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Labor, State, Transportation and Treasury,

Does the Protection Racket Media need a "reality check"? So said Harry Enten, CNN's estimable polling analyst, yesterday after looking at the most recent polling. The media still covers Donald Trump by assuming his unpopularity, even after winning both the Electoral College and the national popular vote in November.
Not only is Trump at his most popular these days, Enten says, Americans feel better about the country's direction than they have in years. And Democrats hoping to score a rebuke against Trump in the 2026 midterms might need a reality check of their own:

After four long years during which our democracy was under constant peril, one might say the November election cured that crisis, at least for now, returning the American voter and American values to center stage. Zealots of the Left, however, continue their tired chorus of accusation and cancellation. It is staggering how blind to election results and deaf to the voices of voters they seem to be. Wokeness may be in retreat but this core cadre, still including many in legacy media, continue their ranting about existential threats and trying to shame us into shedding crocodile tears over illegals. They have doubled down on their playbook even though

Moms are wonderful creatures. They soothe, and they smooth. They resolve conflict with milk and cookies. Without moms, we wouldn’t be here.
Not all women are moms. Joan of Arc was not a soother or a smoother, and was never a mom. Nor was Amelia Earhart or Queen Elizabeth I.
Even among strong women who were mothers, not all were moms. Golda Meir and Margaret Thatcher had children but, to the public at least, they were not moms. Some women can change from a skirt into pants and back again, depending on the setting, and maybe Meir and Thatcher did. Others can’t.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Jeffrey Goldberg, the Trump-hating editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, claimed he was “accidentally” added to a secure Signal group chat by National Security Adviser Mike Waltz where top Trump administration officials discussed sensitive military operations against Iran-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen and called them “war plans.”
But instead of leaving the conversation, Goldberg took screenshots of the conversation and ran to his keyboard to try to leak the military operation.

Just when you think the far-left circus couldn’t get any more clownish, Congresswoman Maxine Waters grabs a mic and reminds us why she’s the poster child for political absurdity. In a bizarre outburst, Waters floated the idea that former First Lady Melania Trump should have been deported—a statement so mindless, it would be laughable if it weren’t so telling. In her desperate attempt to “own” the Trumps, Waters did something utterly unexpected: she accidentally made the strongest case yet for legal immigration done right.

Four US Army soldiers have died in Lithuania after they disappeared on a training site while on maneuvers just miles from the border, NATO’s Secretary General Mark Rutte said on Wednesday.
The four soldiers from the 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, based out of Fort Stewart, Georgia, were last seen alive on Tuesday riding an armored vehicle during tactical training exercises at a military site near the city of Pabrade, in eastern Lithuania.
The base is about six miles from the border with Belarus — a staunch Russian ally, and comes at a time of ratcheting tensions in the region.

Not because it’s a bad investment (it’s up more than 22,000% all time, though down of late) but because “Elon Musk is deadly for democracy.”

Leftist judges want to turn President Donald Trump into a president in name only.
Look at all the ways that individual judges have hamstrung the Trump administration. A district court judge recently blocked President Trump’s executive order removing transgender individuals from the military. Another judge ordered the Trump administration to send two men who are pretending to be women into a women’s prison. One federal judge ordered the administration to restore government webpages that promote the left’s transgender narrative.
A different district court judge stopped the Trump administration from disbanding the wasteful USAID. Secretary of State Marco Rubio appointed Jeremy Lewin to a high-level position in USAID.

After White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the tariffs would be detailed at a 4 p.m. EST by Mr. Trump, Wall Street shuddered, with the S&P 500 tumbling by 1.2% in late afternoon trading. Because tariffs are taxes on imports that are largely passed onto U.S. consumers, they can cause households to cut back on spending and dampen economic growth, according to experts.

During the hearing, Judge Patricia Millett harshly questioned the Trump Justice Department about its handling of the deportations — at one point saying, “Nazis got better treatment under the Alien Enemies Act [during World War II] than has happened here.”

Orders for durable goods rose far above expectations in February, climbing 0.9 percent to $289.3 billion, according to the Commerce Department’s report released Wednesday.
Economists had forecast a 1.0 percent decline, but instead, businesses continued to invest heavily in big-ticket items, particularly automobiles, computers, and machinery.
Even excluding transportation, which can be volatile due to large aircraft orders, new orders increased by 0.7 percent, exceeding the forecast of a 0.3 percent gain. The strength of the overall durable goods orders report is further demonstrated by robust gains in key categories.
Auto orders were notably strong, with orders for motor vehicles and parts rising 4.0 percent.

President Trump’s executive action, signed last week, calls for the dismantling of the Department of Education, which was created during the administration of former President Jimmy Carter in 1979. However, an act of Congress is required to codify the department’s closure into law, so Rep. Ogles has introduced the Make Education Great Again Act to this end.

While country of origin doesn’t come up in most jobs, it is worth asking if judges with ties to foreign nations and cultures are the right ones to make decisions affecting the U.S. military or immigration.
The concept of foreign-born judges is a newer phenomenon in this district. In addition to the 15 main judges, the D.C. District has 10 older, senior judges who still occasionally hear cases in the district.

President Donald Trump and the courts are in a turf war over the reach of executive and judicial powers. The conflict results from a barrage of nationwide injunctions issued against the Trump administration by left-leaning judges on matters that Trump claims fall within the purview of the executive branch.
In a recent opinion piece in The New York Times, retired federal judge J. Michael Luttig claims that the courts will win this struggle. The opposite is true. The judicial branch will destroy itself — just like the Democratic Party did — if it stubbornly continues to fight Trump on the very issues that put him back into the White House.

Enter Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), who has become one of the most vocal and visible members of the Democratic Party and has become a major problem for the Democrats. In the past week alone, she has called for violence in the #TeslaTakedown movement

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) stands at a critical juncture, confronting rising geopolitical tensions in Eastern Europe, instability in the Middle East, and escalating global strategic competition.
Turkey’s recent use of its veto power against Israel’s participation in a crucial NATO exercise scheduled for September 2025 reveals a troubling internal vulnerability. Ankara’s decision not only harms Israel directly but also undermines the alliance’s broader collective defense framework, weakening its unity precisely when strength and cooperation are needed most.

I think we can all agree that the Democratic Party is in deep trouble.
Whatever poll you look at, the results are the same: approval for the Party is in the mid-to-high 20s, with ordinary voters disgusted by their antics and their bizarre priorities and values. Admittedly, many Democratic Party elected officials are genuinely ideologically captured--cultural or even economic Marxists who believe that the West needs to be destroyed, that children need to be sterilized and mutilated, and that the primary role of government is putting dollars into the pockets of Leftist lunatics.
But at least a plurality, and likely a majority of

There's more good news out of the Middle East, I'm happy to report. On the heels of yesterday's news that the Israeli Defense Force was doing an admirable and rapid job of eliminating Hamas leadership in an explosive game of Whack-a-Mole, today we learn that the Gazans themselves finally show signs of turning against their terrorist government.
We saw tiny signs of this in the awful weeks after the Oct. 7, 2023, terror invasion that kicked off the Israel-Hamas War, such as the old Gazan woman who accused Hamas of stealing humanitarian aid meant for the people. "Everything goes to [Hamas] houses," she complained.

There’s a narrative shift underway in the whole “Signalgate” kerfuffle. First, Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor of The Atlantic, assured us that the Signal chat he was suspiciously included on discussed classified or top-secret war plans about the Trump administration's planned strike on Houthi rebels in Yemen. That turned out not to be true. Now, the narrative seems to be shifting away from the idea that the chat discussed classified or top-secret plans to blaming the Trump administration for using Signal in the first place.
The real issue here is how Goldberg ended up in the chat in the first place.

The Supreme Court upheld the Biden administration’s regulations on “ghost guns” Wednesday, finding that guns assembled using at-home kits are subject to the same rules as traditional firearms, including requirements that they carry a serial number and that purchasers undergo a federal background check before buying them.
The justices ruled 7-2 in Garland v. VanDerStok to preserve rules imposed by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms in 2022 to combat what the government called an explosion of “ghost gun” usage in criminal activity. Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito dissented.

Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and CIA director John Ratcliffe “lied” under oath to the Senate Intelligence Committee when denying classified information was included in a Signal group chat on military strikes against the Houthis.[Snip] the reason why I say it’s a pattern, in the first two weeks of the administration, they inadvertently released the names of 200 new CIA agents.[Snip] There’s not a day that goes by that you guys don’t report another one of the DOGE boys in one of classified agencies giving up personal information.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has hit back at left-wing Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) after she mocked his use of a wheelchair, claiming the Democrats have “nothing to sell but hate.”
The firebrand Texas lawmaker was slammed after she branded Abbott “Governor Hot Wheels” on Saturday during a Human Rights Campaign dinner in Los Angeles.[snip]
She responded to the criticism by bizarrely claiming her remarks had nothing to do with Abbott’s disability. “I wasn’t thinking about the governor’s condition — I was thinking about the planes, trains, and automobiles he used to transfer migrants into communities led by Black mayors,

Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, who was an outspoken critic of measures implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic, gained Senate confirmation to head the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in a vote of 53–47 on March 25.
Bhattacharya is aligned on multiple issues with his new boss, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., including addressing the nation’s chronic disease epidemic.
A physician and former Stanford University professor, Bhattacharya first drew public attention in 2020 for his criticism of COVID-19-era interventions such as mask mandates, lockdowns, and school closures.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) continues to fund more than a billion dollars in diversity, equity and inclusion programs, even after President Donald Trump ordered federal agencies to eliminate them.
While other agencies have moved to eliminate the “illegal and immoral programs” targeted in Trump’s day-one executive order, NIH is still funding over $1.3 billion in active grants that include DEI components — from race-based hiring schemes to “anti-racist” training initiatives and diversity-first faculty pipelines. At least $441 million of those grants explicitly cite DEI in their project descriptions, according to NIH data compiled by watchdog group Do No Harm.

“We welcome this continued relief for tens of thousands of refugees who will now have the opportunity to restart their lives in the United States,” said Melissa Keaney, the progressive lawyer for the elite-funded, anti-borders International Refugee Assistance Project. In a second courtroom in Seattle, another federal judge ordered the Trump administration to keep paying the quasi-government agencies that settle the refugees in Americans’ crowded housing, schools, and workplaces, such as in Springfield, Ohio.

President Donald Trump had a rough ride with the media during his first term. Big media and smaller social media alike often treated Trump with open scorn, and peppered him with insulting epithets, calling him “fascist” or even “Hitler.” Is it better this time? Not much: A majority in the latest I&I/TIPP Poll say he’s still being treated the same or worse as back then.
There’s little doubt, even among those on the left, that Trump is deeply reviled by the mostly left-leaning media. His braggadocio, his aggressive leadership style, his creatively unorthodox policies, his personal fearlessness and his overall popularity have kept Trump a media target.

The Democrat Party is down and I am all for kicking it as hard and as often as we can. DC is all a-flutter over this as they watch helpless as Trump takes down the evil empire Democrats made of the federal government. The swamp was drained 200 years ago when they built the city. He is simply cleaning house. (Snip)
Democrats are gazing at their navels trying to figure out what to do next. The Resistance of 2017 won’t work this time because they cannot bogeyman Trump because Americans have already experience on Trump presidency. They know he’s not Hitler.

For years, the Democratic political figures, liberal activists, and the resistance movement writ large have drawn morbid comfort from the fact that Donald Trump’s supporters were, frankly, quite old.
The Trump phenomenon, they believed, had an expiration date sometime in the near future: Young voters would replace their parents and grandparents as demographics shifted, and all would be right — or rather, left — with the world.
The 2024 election has shattered these hopes.
Trump’s gains with young people are so massive that Gen Z might as well be called Gen Trump.
Data guru David Shor laid bare this stark reality in an interview with The New York Times’ Ezra Klein last week;

More migrants are fleeing into Canada across the border than are coming south into the US after President Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration, sources told The Post.
Homeland Security sources said that there are “lots of northbounders” now running scared and “self-deporting” from the US with Trump back in office. In a remote stretch of Washington state, border agents report seeing an average of five migrants crossing illegally north into Canada each day.
The numbers were starting to pick up even before the Trump administration began in full force.

The Atlantic's editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg refused to reveal the status of the phone he was using when the Trump Administration added him to a top secret war plans group text. [Snip] He also told Darcy he was not concerned about retaliation from federal authorities for publishing some of the messages. [Snip] ...he is considering releasing more of the group chat messages. 'My colleagues and I and the people who are giving us advice on this have some interesting conversations to have about this,' Goldberg told Tim Miller on the Bulwark Podcast. 'But just because they're irresponsible with material, doesn't mean that I'm going to be irresponsible.'
