Actress Jane Fonda won the SAG life achievement honor at the SAG Awards on Sunday night and used her speech to defend woke and encourage Hollywood to pursue an anti-Trump agenda.
While the world and broader culture has been seeking to leave woke behind, Jane Fonda came to its defense at the SAG Awards on Sunday night, defining it as simply giving “a damn about other people.” “What we, actors, create is empathy. Our job is to understand another human being so profoundly that we can touch their souls,” said Fonda. “And make no mistake, empathy is not weak or woke. By the way, woke just means

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow said Monday on “The Rachel Maddow Show” that her network made a “bad mistake” firing host Joy Reid.
Maddow said, “Joy Reid’s show, the ReidOut ended tonight, and Joy is not taking a different job in the network. She is leaving the network altogether and that is very, very, very hard to take. I am 51 years old. I have been gainfully employed since I was 12 and I have had so many different kinds of jobs, you wouldn’t believe me if I told you. But in all of the jobs I have had in all of the years I have been alive,

A senior Hamas official told the New York Times last week that he would not have supported the October 7, 2023, terror attack against Israel if he had known the outcome — the destruction of Hamas and the devastation of Gaza.
The Times reported Monday:
Mousa Abu Marzouk, the Qatar-based head of Hamas’s foreign relations office, said in an interview with The New York Times that he would not have supported the attack if he had known of the havoc it would wreak on Gaza. Knowing of the consequences, he said, would have made it “impossible” for him to back the assault

New York — Starbucks announced Monday it will lay off over 1,000 corporate workers and cut complex and unpopular drinks from its menu in an effort to turn around lagging sales and revamp the coffee chain.
Starbucks is cutting some Frappuccino blended drinks, Royal English Breakfast Latte and White Hot Chocolate as part of its effort to simplify operations and shrink its menu.
“These items aren’t commonly purchased, can be complex to make, or are like other beverages on our menu,” the company said in a release announcing the menu change. Starbucks is cutting 30% of its menu in an effort to simplify its processes.

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — Some believe the Democratic Party’s next savior is living here, huddled with family, in the relative obscurity of a small city on the shores of Lake Michigan. Pete Buttigieg has yet to decide if that’s a responsibility he wants. For now, Buttigieg, the 43-year-old former U.S. transportation secretary, is discussing his future with party officials, labor leaders and top strategists. He must decide soon whether he wants to return to the national spotlight as a candidate in Michigan’s U.S. Senate race or step aside to instead seek a much bigger role as his party’s next presidential

A 16-year-old boy let out a keening wail as he collapsed in court after being told he would be tried for murder as an adult and denied bail. Sean Simpson is charged with the shooting murder of 16-year-old Zaquavious Dawkins last month in Gastonia, North Carolina. The alleged teen killer broke down in court, sobbing and screaming as he learned he would not be released on bail and will have to face the law as an adult. Simpson began wiping his eyes as the judge could be heard saying 'hold without bond,' footage obtained by QueenCityNews shows.

The “thing” is the awkward skill of being very unlikeable. Today, Ron DeSantis talked openly about the goal to install his wife, Casey, as the next Florida Governor. Um, hell no. WATCH: Video.

Democrats are anxious to rebuild their party on the heels of President Trump’s victory in November. But they have a major problem as they try to refashion their brand: The money isn’t there. Democratic donors — from bundlers to small dollar donors — say they are still angry about the election results and uninspired by anything their side has put forward since then. (Snip) Much of the consternation among the donor community stems from the unprecedented 2024 election cycle, where many felt misled by the party and former President Biden’s reelection campaign. Until the Democratic debate in June, donors and

Pres. Joe Biden’s airport security agency opened up fast-track lines for illegal migrants in 2021, according to a Transportation Security Agency document released by President Donald Trump’s deputies.
The heretofore unreleased 2021 policy allowed illegal migrants to use a variety of “DHS-provided documents” to walk quickly through security checkpoints that held up many Americans.
These approved documents included various documents issued by DHS, such as warrants for arrests, “Notice to Appear” court appointments, and Alien Booking record documents.
The policy was unveiled by journalist Breanna Morello, who wrote, “These documents could be displayed electronically at TSA security checkpoints, meaning an illegal alien could present a photo or screenshot on their device,

There are leakers, and then there are leakers. Some leaking can be justified; whistleblowers to legitimately bad or evil practices by people in positions of authority is technically leaking of information, possibly even classified information, for instance.
On the other hand, on Monday, we learned that there may be some Trump-hating personnel at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) who are threatening to take classified intelligence information to foreign governments if their positions are threatened by the efforts of the Department of Government Efficiency — the DOGE.
There is a word for that. It's not a pretty one.

Is there anyone out there who doesn’t know who Greg Gutfeld is?
He is the host of the highest rated late night talk show on Fox News at 10:00 p.m.
His format usually includes two guests and two regulars discussing recent current events with humor, very politically incorrect comments, and frequently blipped-out blue language.
He is way funnier than Bill Maher was when his Politically Incorrect show aired from New York but the most important thing about Gutfeld is the size of his audience and who is watching.

DOGE chief Elon Musk teased Monday that federal workers may receive a second email asking them to list their weekly accomplishments – and that failure to respond to it will result in “termination.”
The Tesla and SpaceX founder’s warning came hours after the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) notified human resource bosses across multiple agencies that responses to emails sent Saturday –demanding a list of five bullet points detailing what federal workers achieved in the previous five working days — were “voluntary” and that failure to respond would not be taken as a resignation, as Musk had claimed.
