German conservative opposition leader Friedrich Merz appears poised to win the country’s election Sunday, while the far-right Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party places second despite making gains. Chancellor Olaf Scholz conceded defeat, calling the election results “bitter,” The Associated Press reported. Scholz’s Social Democratic Party placed third, behind the AfD, in its worst result in a national election in decades. With more than 200 constituencies’ results declared, Reuters reported that the conservative party earned 28.8 percent of the vote with the AfD trailing at 20.9 percent. The Social Democrats came in at third place at 16.3 percent. The AP noted that Germany, as the most populous country in the European Union,

A "Conservative" party which isn't very conservative, and a "far-right" party which is actually moderate, especially when compared with the leftists around the world and the Enemedia. Yeah, don't expect much change, i.e.,...common sense, anytime soon in Duetschland.

It's nice to see the Trump influence having an impact on elections in Europe but what happened in Germany pales in comparison to the MAGA movement. That said, it's a step in the right direction.

This is the second karate move on Germany following the JD Vance speech. No, it’s not MAGA by a long stretch but German voters did the best they could with the options they had. There will be more of this.

The European "far right" at best is slighlty left of Pierre Delectro - - and even squishier. But - - it's a slight improvement over the globalist commies who've been running things. I give this a 4 out of 10. I'm not crazy about it - - but it has a nice beat and I can dance to it.

So the globalist big shots moved the populist to the center...BUT... are still in control behind the curtains...the globalist oligarchs are not going to give up that easily...the EU is their money maker and it will take more than a "slim" victory to change the playing field....President Trump has this figured out...and that's the reason for JDVance's speech to Europe....put up or shut up....remember always...follow the money....until you meet Elon Musk....then he'll follow the money....

Maybe we might see a Muslim exodus from the country. They were all over the airport in Munich last summer and the are not acting like they want to assimilate into that country's culture as the women were wearing hajibs.

All the liberal coalitions will gang up and continue to run things, like they always do! The 'far right' will be pretty much ineffectual.

The Germans are going to continue to be run down, stabbed, and raped by the muslim invaders. The native Germans seem to have decided that the Muslim culture is superior to theirs, and so will not resist it. Sad state of affairs there.

Is there anyone out there who doesn’t know who Greg Gutfeld is? He is the host of the highest rated late night talk show on Fox News at 10:00 p.m. His format usually includes two guests and two regulars discussing recent current events with humor, very politically incorrect comments, and frequently blipped-out blue language. He is way funnier than Bill Maher was when his Politically Incorrect show aired from New York but the most important thing about Gutfeld is the size of his audience and who is watching.

There was a massive train wreck in Washington, DC, this weekend, and it had nothing at all to do with locomotives and everything to do with a crowd of Never Trumpers assembling to shout into the dark void that has come to symbolize their movement. Even worse, their summit crashed and burned spectacularly when organizers falsely and quite publicly accused a Trump supporter of calling in a bomb threat. Let me explain. As you know from RedState's extensive coverage, CPAC also took place in DC over the past few days, drawing in a dazzling array of speakers from the Trump administration—including JD Vance, Elon Musk and Tom Homan—

According to Google’s AI Overview, approximately 653,100 people, uh, “experience homelessness” on any given night in 2023, up a crazy 12% from just the year before. It’s a stunning number, but one that probably isn’t surprising to you no matter where you live, because this has gone far beyond just being a ‘big liberal city problem.’ Likely, your small town in your red state is also “experiencing homelessness” more than it ever has. Walk down your typical formerly Norman Rockwellesque main street today and you’ll likely see more than a few shopping carts, dirty tents, and drug-addled vagrants sitting or lying around.

Tarrio denied any involvement in the incident. Organizers of the Principles First summit, which is considered a center-right alternative to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), confirmed the bomb threat after they abruptly asked attendees to clear the room hosting the conference.

Until recently, the U.S. and the rest of the developed world pursued a costly global policy of “net-zero” carbon emissions to battle the supposed ill-effect of climate change. But President Donald Trump has changed all that by ending the U.S.’ commitment to the global net-zero effort. Will today’s highly partisan voters support Trump? The latest I&I/TIPP Poll data suggest a high-degree of skepticism among many voters over global warming’s threat. Three-quarters of those responding to the I&I/TIPP Poll agreed there are reasons for “public skepticism toward climate-change policies,” while just over a third of voting-age Americans say they themselves “distrust” the information used to sell previous climate-change policies.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced plans this week to move up to $50 billion of the Pentagon’s budget from “low-impact and low-priority programs” to ones that align with President Trump’s defense strategy — an excellent first step to get the department ready for the threats America faces from China and other adversaries. But not even cutting every last DEI program and burdensome administrative process will yield anywhere close to $50 billion. The only way to find that kind of money is to cut weapons programs that no longer meet America’s needs.

How long before the notion of examining state voter rolls takes hold? As a mini-exploration, I asked ChatGPT, “How was the 2020 presidential election rigged by Democrats?” Chuck Schumer might have written the answer that I received! “While there were a number of claims and instances of voting irregularities reported during the 2020 election, extensive investigations by courts, state and local election officials, and independent organizations found no evidence of widespread fraud that would have altered the election results.”

On that list: Out: The economy is doing great! In: Why hasn’t Trump fixed the economy yet?? Over the weekend, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries proved us right. “Donald Trump and Republicans consistently promised that they were going to lower the high cost of living, and they’ve done the exact opposite,” Jeffries said. “They’ve shown no interest in lowering costs in the United States of America, which are too high.”
