President Trump of the 30 (and a Couple) Days

It’s been an exhausting four weeks for anyone watching the administration’s effort to reshape, modernize, and clean up the federal government. It’s been an avalanche of Executive Orders, confirmation hearings, court battles, and staff reshufflings and removals. “The choice was between a slow canoe ride through more of the same, or a roller coaster. Americans chose the roller coaster.” A lot of things have been made clear. The most significant is that as things were going, the roles of the president and Congress had been largely diminished in recent years. I'm exhausted. When can we take a break. NOT It is truly amazing what President Trump has done in a little over a month. May God continue to bless and protect him and give him strength to fight all of these battles to get our Country safe and prosperous again.

"... new administration is showing a high degree of competence, fashioning its policies and conduct with dispatch and thoughtful care, making it difficult for those wanting to hang on to the old, demonstrably corrupt, wasteful, and even dangerous policies to persist." The Trump administration is a juggernaut, an unstoppable force. It was designed to be exactly that, using every lever of power that lies within the executive that is insulated from interference from Congress and the courts. It has also avoided reliance on the slo-mo Congress. Sure, Congressional actions are underway but they are part of the long term plan. And yes, some Leftist judges have taken, mostly temporary, actions. Many then saw the handwriting on the wall of what would happen to them (sanctions?) if they persisted and quickly got out of the way of the landslide they had summoned. The few that remain will soon be slapped down in one way or another by the SCOTUS, which hopefully will have some interesting things to say about the independence of Presidential power. As a sideshow, the dems and Left are in ever increasing disarray. They are proving to be powerless and moronic. Top dems like Chuckie go on camera looking stunned and babble idiocy. The dems are still trying to find a "message" when what they really lack in any substance. They are on the wrong side of every issue and have nothing to offer except the old whine they have been pushing for years, denying reality. The media has embarrassments almost daily as they try to gin up attacks, only to have them fall apart spectacularly and immediately. Trump continues to win lawsuits against media that are starting to find out there ARE limits on what they can say. And media's ratings and earnings continue to collapse. Media talent are being steadily dumped. The talent that is left is regularly being embarrassed by Trump's excellent spokespeople. And best of all, the American People GET IT. Trump's approval is up. Approval for WHAT Trump is doing is up even more. Massive changes have been accomplished and things are not slowing up. The Left's apparatus for controlling government has been crippled and and is being dismantled. By the end of the year, the Left will have NO levers of power imbedded in government. Corrupt outside agencies are going to be bankrupt and powerless. Soon, safeguards will be locked into payment systems that can carefully track all spending to an even greater degree and compliance to government intent will be monitored. Then Trump can turn to giving Congress a boot in the behind to pass law that permanently ensconces these changes out of the reach of the whims of the Left. And ongoing, Trump can make additional conservative court appointments to shore up our legal system against using Leftist whims instead of law to make decisions. It's a whole new world.

Exhausted? Clarice is a bit wrong. Exhilarated? You betcha. The task ahead for 47 is to codify his 300+ EOs. With both the House and Senate this shouldn't be an issue, except for Collins and Murkowski and the Turtle. One can hope they will be real Republicans for the codification.

But nothing is permanent until Congress codifies it into law. We may have a little as 2 years before mid terms.

Freaky: Wisconsin Gov. Evers Comes Up

I’ve written about how the left uses language to (often falsely) shape political and social narratives. Abortion is “health care.” Illegal aliens are “undocumented citizens.” The homeless are the “unhoused,” or recently and more and more ridiculously, “people experiencing homelessness,” while people who have ties to Latin America are “Latinx” (although most Latinos in reality want nothing to do with the term). One the silliest arguments they regularly bring forth, though, is regarding the term “woman”—what does it mean? Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson doesn’t know; meanwhile, many leftists define it as “anyone who identifies as one.” Right. Enter Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers (D, but you probably already knew that),

The Myth of Red State Gun Violence 6 replies

One statistic that the gun-control crowd loves to toss around is that gun violence is highest in deep red states and lowest in deep blue states. And statistically speaking, they're correct. Per the CDC, the states with the highest per capita rates for gun murders are Mississippi, Louisiana, New Mexico, Alabama, and Missouri. The states with the lowest rates are Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Hawaii, New Jersey, and New York. So what's going on here? Is this simply a systemic problem of violent, gun totin', insurrectionist inbreds barreling through the backwoods in their pickup trucks, yeehawing and looking for my-NAHR-uh-ties to shoot?

Hooters - known for its scantily-clad waitresses - is the latest American restaurant chain facing financial problems. Bosses at the chain are in urgent talks with lenders and advisers as the popular chain tries to address $300 million of debts, Bloomberg reported Wednesday. Earlier this year, Hooters shuttered around 40 'underperforming' restaurants including locations Florida, Kentucky, Rhode Island, Texas and Virginia as it bid to cut costs. But debts are mounting and more drastic action is needed for the 41-year-old brand. If Hooters cannot refinance its debt, it would have to consider bankruptcy and more closures. A 74-year-old woman has been charged after silently praying outside an abortion clinic in Scotland less than a week after U.S. Vice President JD Vance highlighted the draconian thought crime laws in the UK. The pro-life activist has reportedly become the first person to be arrested and charged under Scotland’s Abortion Services (Safe Access Zones) Act, the BBC reported. The law, which came into force last year, prohibits any protests or vigils being held within 200m (656ft) of abortion clinics in Scotland, mirroring similar restrictions enacted in England and Wales. In footage widely distributed on social media, the 74-year-old woman was heard asking police: “Am I committing an offence?”

American life today is characterized in no small part by nearly ceaseless exposure to LGBTQ propaganda. Everywhere you turn, you’re confronted with “the message,” be it in grade schools, on college campuses, while watching television or movies, or at work. There are no “safe spaces” sheltered from the deluge—not even FEMA’s hurricane recovery efforts have been spared. How did such a small “community” capture America’s institutions? The answer is complex, but a new database by The Project to Expose Corporate Activism (PECA) shines a light on a significant part of the story. PECA’s database shows that corporations have become the vanguard of the LGBTQ

Tensions between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are ramping up amid negotiations to ultimately end the war between Russia and Ukraine. Trump blasted Zelenskyy for being a “dictator without elections” who lost massive amounts of U.S. aid and was responsible for millions of unnecessary deaths. The U.S. president also blasted Zelenskyy for having a four percent approval rating. That percentage was widely contested by the media and even X’s “community notes” which claimed Zelenskyy’s approval rating is 57 percent. As it turns out, the source of the 57 percent approval claim is suspect, at best. “Claims that Zelensky has an approval rate of 57% are from the Kyiv International Institute

At the moment Mrs. Bibas is unaccounted for. I infer that her kidnappers have murdered Mrs. Bibas, as they did the Bibas boys, but I’m beyond the limit of my insight into the psychopathology of Islamist terrorism.
