Outgoing Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg was mocked as a fool after his effort to burnish the legacy of his soon-to-be ex-boss, suggesting that President Joe Biden’s accomplishments should be viewed in a historic context.
On New Year’s Eve, Buttigieg, who only got his important job because he’s openly gay, posted a video to his X account hailing Biden and fellow DEI hire Kamala Harris for their “Big Deal” for infrastructure and ludicrously claiming that their work will one day be viewed as a titanic achievement, much like the Hoover Dam. In the final days of his term, President Joe Biden is set to ban new offshore oil and gas developments in some areas of the U.S. coast, a move that would hinder President-elect Donald Trump’s push for more energy production.
Bloomberg reported on Thursday that Biden is expected to issue an executive order “within days” that would prevent the sale of drilling rights in certain areas of the outer continental shelf. Biden’s move to further ban offshore drilling would be based on a 1953 law that gives the president the power to permanently stop offshore oil drilling in U.S. waters without explicitly giving presidents the power to revoke

Dust off those red MAGA hats and polish ‘em up, because it’s 2025 and that means Donald J. Trump is about to retake the White House.
What? You don't have one? Hogwash! Isn't that what ‘mandate’ means? That everyone secretly owns one in their closet, ready to break it out at a moment's notice if folks get a little too rambunctious?
No? Just me? Okeedokee!
Anyway, for those of you who don't own one, I've got some great news for you … MAGA hats are OUT, and these new bad boys that Trump debuted earlier this week while playing 18 with JD Vance are very much IN.

President Biden and his staff are going out guns blazing — all barrels blasting away to do as much damage as possible to America before they go.
Just look at the dirty-laundry list Joe (or whoever’s actually making the decisions) has rammed through as his last days tick down.
More bans on drilling for oil and gas, even after his war on domestic energy helped cripple America strategically and inflict massive price pain at the pump and elsewhere. Heck, he even moved to squeeze natural-gas exports.
That’s as the administration agreed to yet another inane Paris Accord climate goal to drive down US emissions by close to 70% by 2035.

Mark January 20, 2025, as the start of the biggest man-hunt in American history. That’s when the newly minted Trump administration 2.0 will begin hunting down and deporting millions of criminal aliens welcomed in by the Biden-Harris administration. If successful, they’ll purge our cities of murderers, child traffickers, and drug pushers, a result that will prove wildly popular with a country tired of mass illegal immigration.
But that’s only step one.
Restoring America’s honor and independence requires freeing her from millions more nonviolent illegal migrants who’ve lived for years within our borders in violation of the law. Finding them will prove tricky. Trump’s commitment to mass deportations may be ironclad,

Judge Juan Merchan indicated in a recent ruling that he will not sentence President-elect Donald Trump to any jail time related to his conviction for falsifying business records.
The judge denied Trump’s prior motion to dismiss a jury verdict convicting him of 34 counts of falsifying business records related to alleged “hush money” payments the president-elect made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during the 2016 campaign.
The sentencing had been delayed numerous times at Trump’s request. Merchan rejected the defense’s claims about presidential immunity, arguing that immunity “from criminal process for a sitting president does not extend to a President-elect”

Venezuela’s socialist regime on Thursday announced a $100,000 bounty for information leading to the capture of exiled opposition presidential candidate Edmundo González.
The bounty on González, who currently lives in exile in Spain, comes days before January 10, 2025, the start date of a new six-year presidential term in Venezuela as per the nation’s constitution. Both socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro and González, a 75-year-old former diplomat, are planning presidential inaugurations in Caracas on that day. Both claim to have won the 2024 presidential election, which a large number of international observers have dismissed as rigged.

Alcohol is a well-established, preventable cause of cancer responsible for about 100,000 cases of cancer and 20,000 cancer deaths annually in the United States,” Surgeon General Vivek Murthy warned in his advisory issued Friday. “Yet the majority of Americans are unaware of this risk.”
Murthy noted cancer risk increases as alcohol consumption increases. For certain cancers — including breast, mouth and throat cancers — he said evidence shows that the risk of developing cancer may start to increase around one or more drinks per day.

In fact, they are popular positions widely held by all of us. However, those positions have little bearing on OUR set of challenges in the USA.

The speaker was unable to stave off no-votes from multiple members, including Representatives Thomas Massie (R., Ky.), Keith Self (R., Tex.) and Ralph Norman (R., S.C).

Kennedy, Jr. has the focus, knowledge, enthusiasm, and influence to effect much-needed change in our food system. In my 20-plus years as a professional chef and restaurant owner, I watched as food quality deteriorated.

American Leftists have lied about President Trump and his supporters for so long that they are utterly bereft. How will they make it through the new year? Will they proceed through the steps of grief and finally accept that they were in error and outside the bounds of rationality or will they get stuck in anger—the second stage of grief? For some the stage of bargaining has begun already. They are insisting that we, Trump and the MAGA movement, we who insist on the precepts of the Constitution and rule of law, treat our Leftists better than they ever treated Trump or us.

The suspect in Wednesday’s Las Vegas Tesla Cybertruck explosion and the suspect in the New Orleans terror attack reportedly served at the same military base.
Authorities are investigating the New Orleans incident as an act of terror and the Las Vegas incident as a “possible act of terror,” according to Breitbart News.
Denver 7 reported of the two suspects on Thursday:
Matthew Livelsberger is accused of renting a Cybertruck in Colorado Springs, driving it to Nevada and packing it with firework mortars and gas cans before exploding it in front of the Trump International Hotel in Vegas Wednesday morning, killing himself and injuring seven others

Traffic cameras have been the bane of Britons for many a year now — but our neighbors across the pond have recently upped the battle, and the technology is coming over to America, as well.
According to a Dec. 21 report from NBC News, police departments in the United States have become the latest to use an AI-powered traffic camera system made by an Australian company named Acusensus.
The system, called “Heads Up,” doesn’t just check speed or running traffic lights like in other locales.

President Joe Biden on Friday moved to block the multi-billion-dollar sale of US Steel to Japan’s Nippon Steel, citing national security concerns.
The Committee on Foreign Investment in the US has been reviewing the $14.1 billion deal on whether it poses security risks for months. On Dec. 23, CFIUS said it was at a standstill, leaving the issue up to Biden.
The president’s decision is a major use of executive power on a heavily-politicized election year issue. His announcement comes with just over two weeks left in his term. President-elect Donald Trump had vowed to crush the deal when he returns to office for his second term.

A new report released by the Committee on House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight into the January 6 pipe bomber shows the FBI stopped looking for the suspect in 2021 and covered up evidence.
The FBI is now refusing to cooperate with Congressional investigators.

Americans are in a hopeful mood. A majority of Americans are optimistic about President Trump’s agenda, recent polling finds.
As Scott Jennings says, “You can start to feel the green shoots of optimism” now that President Trump is coming back into office.
President Trump won a historic landslide election in November, taking all of the battleground states, retaking the US Senate, keeping the US House in Republican hands, and doing better in a majority of the country in his third presidential run.
With his popularity, it is safe to say President Trump could have the largest audience in history

They say one should never speak ill of the dead, so I won’t… kind of.
Instead, I’ll simply say about the death of Jimmy Carter that it marks the end of the narrative of the activist left-wing president.
When he was elected in 1976, Carter was the first of his kind (and not just in the sense of the Southern woman who said, “Well, it’s nice to have a president that don’t have a accent.”). Morgan Stanley said on Thursday it had decided to leave a UN-backed climate alliance — joining rivals Goldman Sachs and Citi in ditching the group amid conservative backlash toward environmental and diversity initiatives.
The Wall Street investment bank gave no reason for its decision to exit the Net-Zero Banking Alliance, a pledge to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
Citigroup and Bank of America said they were leaving the group earlier this week, and Goldman Sachs and Wells Fargo made the same announcement in early December.

The infamous socialite and so-called “Catwoman” Jocelyn Wildenstein passed away Tuesday at age 84. A case study in extreme plastic surgery, she was also a canary in the coal mine for our cultural obsession with augmentation.
She should have been a cautionary tale, like Michael Jackson, of the dangers of going too far in the quest for perfection. But now, new generations of influencers and celebrities are spending just as much to have even more procedures in the same distorted pursuit. Unfortunately for Wildenstein, she was so far ahead of her time in terms of surgical advancements that she ended up looking botched — freakish, many would say —

Happy Friday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) There is a lot of reflection all over the place as we wind down the longest one-term presidency in the history of the United States of America. It seems as if Joe Biden has been in office for forty years, not four. As we learned on New Year's Day, it's not time to breathe a sigh of relief just yet.
During the bad drug trip that was the 2020 presidential election, Biden and his advocates kept saying that "decency" and "dignity" were on the ballot. Anyone who had followed Biden's career knew how laughable it was

So busy has the FBI been these past four years rounding up the “terrorists” who “stormed” the Capitol on January 6, 2021 -- nearly 1600 and counting -- that they have not had time to track guys like New Orleans lifetaker Shamsud-Din Jabbar.
Make no mistake: From the Feds’ perspective, the J6ers were terrorists. To read the charging documents of those arrested shows just how much high-level time was frivolously spent identifying these citizens, charging them, arresting them, and making sure they were convicted. In the zero-sum game of law and order, the only ones who benefitted from the feds’ January 6 obsession were lethal clowns like Jabbar.

The comment came just weeks after he declared during the State of the Union that year,

As President Joe Biden counts down the days he has left in office, he’s busy trying to burnish his legacy. What he should be doing is apologizing for unleashing waste and fraud of epic proportions.
Politico, to its credit, this week reported on where the $1.6 trillion that Biden approved in spending ($1.1 trillion) and tax breaks ($500 billion-plus) for “clean energy” and infrastructure investments went.
The good news is that most of it hasn’t been spent. The bad news is that the rest appears to have vanished without a trace.

After Shamsud-din Jabbar’s New Orleans attack turned a New Year’s celebration into violent tragedy, the Federal Bureau of Investigation continues to show why it has forfeited the trust of the American people.
Jabbar affixed an ISIS flag to the pickup he drove at high speed into a crowd of revelers, killing at least 14 people.
Yet the FBI at first refused to call the attack what it plainly was: terrorism.
That’s even though it arrested a shocking 10 ISIS would-bes in 2024 alone, thankfully before they were able to carry out any attacks — including a 17-year-old in Arizona.

Less than a year before the end of World War II, then U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Henry Morgenthau drew up a nightmarish plan to punish postwar Germany.
After the serial 1870-1871 Franco-Prussian War, World War I, and World War II -- along with the failed Versailles peace treaty of 1919 -- the Allies in World War II wanted to ensure there would never again be an aggressive Germany powerful enough to invade its neighbors. When the so-called Morgenthau Plan was leaked to the press in September 1944, at first it was widely praised. After all, it would supposedly render Germany incapable of ever starting another world war in Europe.

We reported earlier on the unbelievable news that Joe Biden was going to be giving former Wyoming representative Liz Cheney and Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MI) the nation's second highest civilian award — the Presidential Citizens Medal -- for their "work" on the Jan. 6 Committee. Translation? Here's your award for doing your best to bag my political opponent.
Of course, they ultimately failed in that endeavor and Donald Trump was elected on Nov. 5. But the ceremony itself was something else. When they announced the award, the announcer intoned it was for "putting the American people over party."

As 2025 dawns, legacy media is in freefall — their public trust in tatters, their viewership and readership cratering.
The wounds are a result of two factors: First, the landscape the legacy media once controlled is no more.
No longer do the liberal media ecosystems of New York and Washington, DC, set the terms of the national conversation.
No longer do a handful of major corporate entities like ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, The New York Times and Washington Post regulate thought and debate.

Over the last year, Trump has had some truly memorable moments. In the last few months of the election, Trump was everywhere and each new appearance seemed to top the last one, whether it was him working the drive-thru at a McDonald’s or him driving a garbage truck.
Now, the man who was behind almost all of those moments will have an official job in the new Trump administration.
Trump has just named Justin Caporale as the Executive Producer for Major Events and Public Appearances.
This means we will probably get more of these great moments in the future.
