American-Israeli Keith Siegel was released by Hamas Saturday morning in the latest hostage-for-prisoner swaps — making him the first US citizen freed by the terror group under the ongoing cease-fire deal.
Siegel was released just before 10:30 a.m. local time when the Red Cross organized his release with Hamas after he spent the last 484 days in captivity.
Siegel, 65, an occupational therapist from Chapel Hill, N.C., was kidnapped along with his wife, Aviva, when Hamas raided their home on Kibbutz Kfar Aza on Oct. 7, 2023.

A few days ago, I took issue with the Doomsday Squad of prominent pearl-clutchers and naysayers — including Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz, director of Jihad Watch and prolific author Robert Spencer, president of the Middle East Forum Daniel Pipes, prolific British writer Melanie Phillips, and the formidable Morton Klein of the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) — all of whom condemned in the strongest language the ceasefire/hostage release deal that then-president-elect Donald Trump insisted on before his January 20, 2025 inauguration.

What kind of people are Democrats in terms of human decency?
I blogged yesterday about about their execrable behavior to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. at his Senate confirmation hearings for the Health and Human Services portfolio in the new Trump administration. They bellowed. They bloviated. They interrupted, while Kennedy remained the perfect gentleman in a setting no gentleman should ever have to endur.
But they only got worse after I signed off on that piece.
Here's what kind of creature Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse is as he preens on the Senate floor, piously intoning "You frighten me":

The New York Times is preparing to publish a deep state hit piece on President Donald Trump’s nominee for Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard. The piece is purportedly based on National Security Agency (NSA) surveillance of a pair of anonymous terrorists.
Two people familiar with the matter told The Federalist the Times will accuse Gabbard, a former Democrat congresswoman from Hawaii, of meeting with then-Lebanese Hezbollah Supreme Leader Hassan Nasrallah on a Middle East trip in 2017. The paper of “all the news that’s fit to print” i

An interesting interview between Maria Bartiromo and recently confirmed CIA Director John Ratcliffe.
Within the interview Director Ratcliffe outlines the big picture instructions and direction he has received from President Trump during the second term in office. In essence, the request from President Trump is for all of the IC silo heads to begin completely removing the elements of political manipulation from within the operations they are now going to lead.
To accomplish the goal, the ultimate goal, President Trump has instinctively told the incoming IC administrators to regain trust through transparency.

Good riddance to the World Health Organization, or more accurately, the Woke Health Oligarchy — since it’s a network of self-styled, anti-American scientists and diplomats determined to use the United States as its piggybank.
On Day 1, when President Trump announced he was withdrawing the country from WHO, scientists from universities and think tanks sounded the alarm, falsely claiming Trump’s move will isolate the United States from worldwide efforts to detect and limit deadly diseases.

Gov. Gavin Newsom is likely watching his presidential ambitions burn to ash before his eyes. The liberal governor has been dealing with raging wildfires in Los Angeles County for weeks, which has become the costliest natural disaster in American history. The reasons for the infernos burning uncontrollably are many, not least because the excesses of liberal governance hamstrung the first responders. The Los Angeles Fire Department got its budget slashed despite memos about how it could degrade responses to wildfires.

In a decisive move that has sent shockwaves through the political elite in Washington, President Trump has dismissed 17 inspectors general.
“The inspectors general were dismissed via emails from the White House Presidential Personnel Office, with no notice sent to lawmakers on Capitol Hill, who have pledged bipartisan support for the watchdogs, in advance of the firings, the person said,” reports Politico. “The emails gave no substantive explanation for the dismissals, with at least one citing ‘changing priorities’ for the move, the person added.”

America is headed for a depopulation crisis.
That, at least, is the major takeaway of a new report released this month by the Congressional Budget Office. According to the CBO, if current trends continue, American deaths will outnumber American births in a mere eight years. With a united Republican government, we have an opportunity to address this upcoming crisis by building on the economic success of President Trump’s first term and making it easier for Americans to start or expand their families.

You can still get sports coverage on ESPN, but the ostensible sports network has been famously woke for years, with its NBA analyst and “First Take” host Stephen A. Smith leading the way. Smith has demonstrated more than once, however, that he is not a doctrinaire leftist who never dares to question the elites’ line. He has just shown this independent streak yet again, even going so far as to express regret that he voted for Kamala Harris, and offering a solid, common-sense reason why Trump won. Will Smith’s leftist fans follow his lead and start thinking for themselves as well?

Donald Trump’s first week in office was a whirlwind: executive orders on everything from closing the border to ending federal Diversity, Equity and Inclusion mandates.
Social media postings announced new business initiatives and put world leaders on notice that a new sheriff is in town.
Heads were spinning among the business and political elites, both back home and here at the World Economic Forum, the annual confab of the globalist crowd where I’ve been hanging for the past few days.
That’s because the decidedly non-globalist Trump, people here truly believe, could be on the verge of solving maybe the most intractable problem the world faces:

As part of the current cease-fire deal between Israel and Hamas, Israel has agreed to release 90 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for 33 Israeli hostages. On Sunday, the first three hostages were handed over to the Red Cross and they are home in Israel. Their families were able to watch live as they were released.
All three of the young women are said to be in decent health and have been reunited with their mothers, who were waiting with members of the Israel Defense Forces.
