Daniel Penny has been found not guilty of criminally negligent homicide in the chokehold death of Jordan Neely on a New York City subway car in 2023. Penny, 26, pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide. The judge dismissed the second-degree manslaughter charge against Penny on Friday after jurors said they could not come to a unanimous decision. The jury could only consider the negligent homicide charge if Penny was cleared of manslaughter, which is what the dismissal did.

Certain ethnicity is already threatening to burn the city down and they are threatening Penny’s life. I heard one woman say there is no justice for black people. Didn’t George Floyd’s family get $43 million dollars and was anyone imprisoned for the burning and looting of hundreds of businesses? This is beyond tiresome.

The best outcome possible given the current situation in NYC. He should have received an award and a press conference expressing thanks from hizzoner and the police chief. By prosecuting him, even though ultimately acquitted, all they’ve done is ensure that fewer citizens will step up when needed. Our culture and civil society loses.

So the article states that the dead man was "a street performer and Michael Jackson impersonator". Really? ANYONE, literally can claim those two things, and apparently he wasn't earning any significant money at his "jobs" because he was 'homeless' and mentally ill. So, in an alternative narration, he was a crazy bum who spent his time harassing people on the street and the subway.

Penny is a HERO-Bragg is a ZERO, Lawfare at its ugliest. Trial evidence revealed that Neely had the synthetic marijuana drug K2 in his system at the time of the confrontation. Jurors also heard that he was diagnosed with schizophrenia, telling doctors in 2021 that he’d heard the “devil’s voice.” The defense’s medical expert, forensic pathologist Dr. Satish Chundru, claimed that Neely died NOT from Penny’s chokehold, but by “the combined effects of sickle cell crisis, the schizophrenia, the struggle and restraint, and the synthetic marijuana.”

Thanksgiving to God for His blessings! But continued prayers are certainly needed. As per a CBS News reporter, who was inside the courtroom when the verdict was read, Daniel Penny received a threat from a family member or supporter of Jordan Neely when he is back out on the street. Neely’s father and team are having a “news conference”. The father is saying he has had enough of this, and calling on people to come together and “do something “. This is far from over. There will no doubt be a civil trial and who knows what else, if they can be stirred into reacting to his call for action.

Lawfare, at least in this particular instance, has been rejected by citizens of NYC. The announced civil suit by Neely's family should be preemptively and peremptorily tossed out of court, with prejudice. The elder Neely has already appeared in front of television cameras, stirring the racist pot and hoping for a national explosion, as for sainted criminal George Floyd after he ODed and expired. This time, it won't work, except in a few places nobody goes to anymore. Al Sharpton of Fashion Mart fame is sure to be heard from. Maybe Benjamin Crump from Chasin' the Trayvon, too. The race agitators are yelling like ten thousand bullfrogs around Dale Hollow Lake at night. I feel their pain. After the junior Neely menaced and threatened a whole subway car full of commuters, there's one less Michael Jackson imitator. He shouldn't have done that. Bet he won't do that again.

So, we have two headlines that I think are somewhat related. The Daniel Penny trial and the murder of the United Healthcare CEO. When a person decides they want to murder, retaliate, be violent etc., people have no idea if this person is blowing smoke, serious or whatever. So now various kinds of leadership think this behavior is acceptable to the point that police officers and victims are now the perpetrators. It has gone beyond ridiculous.

As other posters have said,,,,Penny should never have been indicted. Why? Because of black racism against whites. All the while in NYC and other big cities, blacks are deliberately slaughtering each other and others by the dozens and it no longer draws much media coverage. Ho-hum, just another day in the black community and elsewhere. But here, a white man doing the right thing has a black accidentally die on him for questionable reasons and he gets targeted by the likes of fat Alvin pandering to stupid black mob who are also looking for a reason to loot and burn. Remember Derek Chauvin and George Floyd. Derek has a hopped up black criminal die while being restrained and gets railroaded to prison to rot there.

Bashar al-Assad has been overthrown, fleeing Damascus after a rapid rebel advance. But the Syrian dictator is far from the only president likely to be despairing today, for Vladimir Putin is another big loser here. For Putin, the collapse of the Syrian regime and removal of Assad from power poses two critical problems. Firstly, it represents a critical strategic loss. Russia now seems almost certain to permanently lose both its naval base at Tartus and its air base at Latakia, its only such bases in the Middle East. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is trying to "strong-arm" the jury in the Daniel Penny case into deciding on a verdict by dismissing manslaughter charges when they appeared deadlocked, former U.S. assistant attorney Andy McCarthy says. "Bragg added a baseless recklessness charge to the indictment so the jury would have two counts, increasing the odds of conviction by giving the jury something to compromise on," McCarthy wrote in National Review. The manslaughter charge required prosecutors to prove that Penny acted with recklessness when he put mentally ill homeless man Jordan Neely in a chokehold on May 1, 2023. Neely had barged onto a subway car while high on drugs, threatening

For example, did you know that Coolidge starred in what is today known as Franklin Roosevelt’s medium, radio? Or that as president, he gave hundreds of press conferences and established “a record for speechmaking in the last two decades,” according to the New York Times? Or that Coolidge wrote his own speeches? Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office has been aggressively pushing for the media to note that if convicted of second-degree manslaughter at trial, Marine veteran Daniel Penny faces no mandatory minimum prison term, Penny's lawyers told the judge this week. The 26-year-old aspiring architect would face a maximum punishment of 15 years behind bars, if convicted for Jordan Neely's death on a Manhattan F train. Neely rushed onto a subway car with women and children, shouted that someone would "die today," and warned that he wasn't afraid to go to prison for life. Penny grabbed him in a chokehold or headlock, took him to the ground, and he later died.
