After a screaming match between Acting Secret Service Director Ron Rowe and Texas Rep. Pat Fallon erupted at a Thursday House hearing on the attempted assassination attempts against President-elect Donald Trump, new details are emerging about the circumstances that sparked the outburst. Several Secret Service sources question whether Rowe has perjured himself during the explosive exchange. The face-off occurred during the final meeting of the House Task Force on the Attempted Assassination of Trump when Fallon produced a photo of Rowe standing behind President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris at a 9/11 memorial event in New York City in September. Rowe, when are you going to release your communications regarding your disapprovals of Trump requests for additional security, and regarding Butler, Pa.? The information has been subpoenaed, and we have heard nothing, except everything is under investigation. Rowe, you will be fired Jan 20, 2025. That is something you can count on.

Schoolboy Rowe is so delusional and arrogant - - that he has no idea that he's a dead man walking - - with less than fifty days before he's fired - - and possibly arrested and prosecuted. If he had any smarts - - he'd prostrate himself before the committee - - and the public - - and beg for mercy in the hopes of saving his worthless skin. If he had any smarts.

This is a good article. It fills in some of the details I'd not heard until now. Basically, Rowe pushed two other 'arms length' agents out of the way so he could get pictured with Biden and Harris. Rowe's wife is an employee of the SS (I'm assuming not as an agent) and, lo-and-behold, was the photographer at the event taking a lot of 'action shots' of him there.

I've had a fair amount of experience with psychopaths throughout my life and I'd put big money on Rowe being a full blown psycho - extreme anger / rage, never wrong, all problems resemble nails and his only tool is a hammer, grandiose sense of entitlement, no regrets for anything ever, believe they are God's gift to humanity, no moral sense of right vs. wrong, zero empathy for anybody or anything but himself, incapable of self-reflection / correction, might makes right and would throw his own mamma off a train if she looked at him funny. Who hires a guy like this and how many thousands more are there like him lurking on the Federal payroll?

Agreed that if one loses one's cool, he loses the argument. A corollary to that point is Godwin's Law: Mention Hitler or Nazis, and you lose automatically. Rowe, a longtime bully himself, doesn't like bullies, but at least he didn't call the congressman a Nazi at that hearing. The acting Secret Service Director's bellowing about having been at 9/11 demonstrates the logical fallacy of irrelevance, what my mentor Mr. Buckley would have called ignoratio elenchi. The two lead off chords on Miles Davis's 1959 classic album Kind of Blue, "So What," come to mind. So. What. If some joker had left a push pin on Rowe's chair, he wouldn't have exploded any worse. Hope he enjoyed it. Whatever. On January 20, he's gone.

Self important asshat. Pushes to the front of the group to be close to Biden, crowding out the actual working SS agents. And his blowup and screaming at a Congressman shows a level of arrogance and lack of self control that isn't appropriate for this job. Get him out of there, now.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is trying to "strong-arm" the jury in the Daniel Penny case into deciding on a verdict by dismissing manslaughter charges when they appeared deadlocked, former U.S. assistant attorney Andy McCarthy says. "Bragg added a baseless recklessness charge to the indictment so the jury would have two counts, increasing the odds of conviction by giving the jury something to compromise on," McCarthy wrote in National Review. The manslaughter charge required prosecutors to prove that Penny acted with recklessness when he put mentally ill homeless man Jordan Neely in a chokehold on May 1, 2023. Neely had barged onto a subway car while high on drugs, threatening

Calvin Coolidge was taciturn by nature, it’s true. But the nickname obscures important elements of his life and career. For example, did you know that Coolidge starred in what is today known as Franklin Roosevelt’s medium, radio? Or that as president, he gave hundreds of press conferences and established “a record for speechmaking in the last two decades,” according to the New York Times? Or that Coolidge wrote his own speeches? Or that his Autobiography stands as “the forgotten classic of presidential writing,” in the words of historian Craig Fehrman? “The words of the President have an enormous weight,” Coolidge wrote, “and ought not to be used indiscriminately.”

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office has been aggressively pushing for the media to note that if convicted of second-degree manslaughter at trial, Marine veteran Daniel Penny faces no mandatory minimum prison term, Penny's lawyers told the judge this week. The 26-year-old aspiring architect would face a maximum punishment of 15 years behind bars, if convicted for Jordan Neely's death on a Manhattan F train. Neely rushed onto a subway car with women and children, shouted that someone would "die today," and warned that he wasn't afraid to go to prison for life. Penny grabbed him in a chokehold or headlock, took him to the ground, and he later died.

President Biden's decision to use his presidential powers on Sunday to pardon his own son will be a decision that lives in infamy in presidential politics. It is not just that the president used his constitutional powers to benefit his family. It is because the action culminates years of lying to the public about his knowledge and intentions in the influence-peddling scandal surrounding his family. Even among past controversies about the use of this pardon power, Biden has cemented his legacy for many, not as the commander in chief, but as the liar in chief.

The letter, first reviewed by Reuters, comes as Ukraine has re-upped its request for NATO membership to help put an end to Russia's war, including a recent uptick in attacks on its energy infrastructure. It also comes as the Biden administration has granted Ukraine new permissions to fight back against Russia in their final months in office.
