FBI Director Christopher Wray plans to resign on or before Inauguration Day, according to recent reports. The move, widely seen as preemptive, reflects growing pressure from Republican lawmakers, led by Senator Charles Grassley, and signals yet another shift in leadership for an agency that has been at the center of political and institutional controversies over the past several years.
While Wray’s resignation isn’t entirely unexpected, it raises important questions about the future of the FBI, the challenges it faces, and the public’s trust in one of the nation’s most powerful institutions. This moment offers an opportunity to reflect on Wray’s tenure,

On the other hand, if he doesn't resign and gets fired by Trump, he can collect unemployment.

Wray is milking the last dollar out of taxpayers by hanging on until 12 Jan 20, 2025. Wray will have an ignominious exit.

I'm with #1. Wray belongs behind bars. He can't say that he was not aware of what the FBI was doing to Trump and his supporters.

Comey and Ray will be remembered by history as two men who wrecked the American public's confidence in the FBI.

Since anyone with a modicum of integrity has already resigned in disgust from the FBI, EVERYBODY on the 7th floor must GO! Everybody else must reapply for any position. That is the only way to reform the TREASONOUS organization it has become!

He is smug, arrogant and not very bright. I hope he is prepared when his former employees come after him. Trust in the FBI will take years to restore, if ever.

And take away his security clearance!!!!! I hope someone in the incoming administration wakes up and makes sure this is done for all the swampers that are dismissed. Along with a whole bunch of criminals in waiting out there, Brennen, etal.

He should be getting his affairs in order before going to (hopefully long) incarceration.

Once again, church-goers, parents at PTA meetings, grandmas quietly praying outside abortion clinics on public sidewalks and any MAGA supporter can feel safe again. The goon-leader will be gone. Next, fire many of the mini-goons.

All he had to do to restore some trust in the FBI was to tell America the Russian story on Trump was a hoax. They knew it very early as well as the laptop being real.

Rats deserting the sinking ship. Wray has been almost as rotten and corrupt as Comey, and that is saying something.

There are a lot of cockroaches in DC preparing their resignations right now. A critical step in their process is lawyering up.

Good riddance...he will be remembered as one of the most corrupt and political hacks to occupy that office...but then I remember comey and how he worked tirelessly to stop President Trump 45...even committing illegal phone taps and raiding Mar-a-Largo....he needs to be tried for treason...he misused his authority and betrayed WE the people to many times for these crimes to just go away when he jumps off the sinking ship...

If Wray is smart (which I do not think he is) he will have already made arrangements to move -for the next 4 years, and perhaps another 4 or 8 after that- to a country that does not have a reparations treaty with the USA

I want to know who paid Wray to raid President Trump's home. Who pulled Wray's strings? He didn't do all those treasonous acts on his own like arresting the J6 innocent citizens who are still sitting in jail in D.C. Who is behind Wray?
