My RedState colleague, Brandon Morse, has started the ball rolling regarding Republican/Right-wing Never-Trumpers. In his column, he states that “the Never-Trump "right" has no shame.” I totally agree, and I would like to add another point to this debate. I can’t tell you how many times I have talked to some Never-Trump Republicans – several are acquaintances of mine – and the debate always goes along the same lines. I bring up a political topic having nothing to do with Donald Trump (I avoid the subject around them, for obvious reasons). The Never-Trump Republican turns whatever that political discussion is focused on into a soliloquy about how uniquely

The TDS nutcases go on about "what Trump will do". Ignore that he did not do any of that in his first term. They are irrational in the extreme, fearful of things they imagine Trump might do. TDS is a real, serious mental disorder.

This author never defines what he means by Never Trump Republicans and conflates any criticism of a Trump appointment or policy decision as a vote for Obama or Biden. I've never heard a Republican, unless it is OK to pretend that Liz Cheney and her ilk are Republicans, claim that Trump is an "evil fascist and/or authoritarian who is/will abuse the government and Constitution." Adam goes on to say that Trump in his first actual term of office was none of those things. Precisely. Trump as president is a historic fact, so why does Adam revel in the "Never Trump" epithet towards some unknown number of Congressional Republicans? What part of Never Trump accounts for the fact that he is a former president and has been elected by a clear majority of Americans to take office for a second time next month? The Framers planned and constructed our governmental system to ensure that America was not going to slide into a monarchy by its overarching construct of checks and balances. Disagreements and compromise are baked in to the framework of our Constitutional Republic. Trump thrice chose to run for the presidency as a Republican. Wouldn't that make him stupid if it were truly the case that a large number, if not vast majority of Republican politicians, are Never Trumpers? I believe Trump is pragmatic and aligned with the conservative center mass of the Republican Party and to Hell with the fringes on either end of the spectrum. As such, I believe he will enjoy many significant and hopefully long lasting direction changes within our government and country.

Which is why there is no difference between democrats, RINOs and Never-Trumpers. They all work toward the same goal: power, their’s and their’s alone.

Good Article. I know a couple of conservative people who preferred that it was Desantis or Nicki Haley but they voted for Trump even two who were independents but they also voted for DJT. I think there were quite a few who switched to him after he was shot. That now iconic photo of our soon to be POTUS, fist raised in the air, blood trickling down his face, was worth a few million votes. The now deceased shooter probably helped the man he hated. +

"make this point when next they are stuck debating a TDS-afflicted Never-Trumper Republican" WHAT would be the point of such a debate? The Never-Trumper is "Never" going to listen or change their mind. They are "republican" versions of the hard Leftists, stuck in their sheltered little world. Most of us will never be pulled into a situation where either type of idiot needs to be addressed. Frankly, having dealt with some Leftists in the past before I realized the static reality they existed in, I felt grimy and frustrated after talking with them. I stopped talking because they were just becoming more and more agitated and it was obvious further interaction was pointless. You CANNOT have a meaningful discussion with such people. I suppose, God help you, if you have to participate in a roundtable with such people you have to be prepared with facts. However, you should address the audience, not pointlessly engage the frozen minded in the roundtable.

The Never Trumpers are only showing they aren't very open-minded or willing to listen to other arguments regarding how best to run the government. Funny thing, Trump is willing to listen to them, though. Imagine what Trump 2.0 can do when he's not under the constant investigation and so many Republicans also wondered if those allegations were true. That so many are still Never Trump after all of the schemes, investigations and lawfare attacks were all proven to be bogus and purely political. But those same scams will need to be publicly reminded to many so they realize what was done and expose those who abused their office and position. That they used the many levers of government against their political opponent as if they had something they needed to hide.

Why Trudeau is Going to Lose the Next Election 3 replies

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has avoided a snap election so far but sooner or later his time is going to run out and when it does, polls suggest he and his party are going to face a big loss to the conservatives. Today the Free Press published a story helping to explain why so many young voters have turned on Trudeau. As the saying goes, it's the economy, stupid. "At University Hospital in London, Ontario, Amanda Vanderley, 25, works grueling 12-hour shifts as an emergency room nurse. Each day includes not just providing critical care and assisting doctors with emergency procedures but also managing patients’ anxieties... Amanda’s $38 an hour,

Dr. Johanna Olson-Kennedy runs the gender clinic at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles. You can read an interview with her about trans health here on the Children's Hospital website. As author Jesse Singal explains in a report for the Economist, Dr. Olson-Kennedy isn't just any doctor, she's one of the most outspoken proponents of gender affirming care for minors in the country, i.e. someone who is quoted in the media on this topic frequently. Her activism seems to have overcome her commitment to transparency. Recently, Dr. Olson-Kennedy made news for sitting on the results of a government funded study of trans children because the outcome didn't support her ideological commitments.

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court heard arguments in U.S. v. Skrmetti, a pivotal case addressing state restrictions on controversial medical interventions, including puberty blockers and hormone treatments for minors with gender confusion. At the heart of the case is a Tennessee law banning these procedures for children, with the court’s decision likely to have far-reaching consequences. Will our country protect children from these barbaric and irreversible procedures or not? As I previously reported, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson humiliated herself when she bizarrely tried to equate banning transgender procedures for minors with prohibiting interracial marriage. She began with a convoluted statement:

Over the holiday weekend, my husband and I ponied up $5.99 to watch the "Reagan" biopic on Amazon. It was money well spent, and I highly recommend it. The movie spanned many decades and briefly touched upon the fact that American hostages in Iran were freed almost the moment Ronald Reagan took the oath of office on January 20, 1981. Recall that in April of 1980, the Carter administration launched a failed rescue operation to rescue the hostages. "Equipment failure" was blamed after two U.S. aircraft "collided on the ground in a remote desert location in Iran." In the end, there was "no fighting & no combat" but

If you think President Biden is the leader of a crime family and everything he says is a a lie, father pardoning son despite numerous vows he would never do so comes as something other than a surprise. Biden actually includes this proposition in the preface: “For my entire career I have followed a simple principle: just tell the American people the truth.” The proposition is refuted by the pardon itself. Like the man from Crete who propounded the famous paradox, Biden may as
