Trump’s nomination of Kash Patel threatens to turn the FBI into an instrument of personal presidential power. For more than four decades before Donald Trump assumed the presidency, the FBI director was a position above politics. A new president might choose a political ally as attorney general, but the FBI director was different. ...And so it continued into the 21st century. Except in a single case of serious scandal, Senate-confirmed FBI directors stayed in their post until they quit or until their 10-year term expired. Never, never, never was a Senate-confirmed FBI director fired so that the president could replace him with a loyalist.

Comments:

Utter hogwash. Christopher Wray turned the FBI into a partisan witch-hunt machine. He MUST be fired for dereliction of duty

After the results from this week’s Presidential election shocked Democrats across the country, following months of being told by disingenuous polls that Kamala was leading or neck-and-neck with President Trump in each of the swing states, some have begun to call for audits and investigations. The proverbial shoe is now on the other foot. While Kamala has conceded defeat to President Trump and Democrat politicians have remained relatively silent in these calls, constituents have had a different sentiment and have taken to social media to insist something is amiss.

Kamala Harris and rapper Lizzo held a campaign rally in Detroit, Michigan on Saturday. Harris needed a celebrity rapper to drum up support. But Lizzo never performed. A visibly exhausted Kamala Harris was on stage in Detroit for only six minutes and 36 seconds. In contrast, President Trump was on stage in Detroit Saturday night for 1 hour and 27 minutes.

Self-professed radio guru Jessie Kelly recently did a show discussing the reality that, often, what seems like a win in life can turn out to be a loss, and what seems like a loss can turn out to be a win. I was thinking about this regarding the uproar from the vice-presidential debate question to JD Vance whether he thought Trump lost in 2020. First, let’s state the obvious… of course, Trump won in 2020...So, at first glance, this looks like -- and felt like -- a significant loss for the right and conservatism...But was it?

New polling numbers out of the states of Ohio and Wisconsin are very good news for Mitch McConnell and very bad news for Chuck Schumer. Panic seems to be setting in for Democrats as they see their chances of retaining control of the Senate slip from their grasp. In Ohio, Democrat incumbent Sherrod Brown is consistently polling behind his Republican rival, Bernie Moreno. RedState reported last week on polling from RMG Research that showed Moreno ahead of Brown by a 48 percent to 46 percent margin. New polling out from ActiVote confirms Moreno's lead, with the new data having Moreno sitting at 51.1 percent while Brown is at 48.9 percent.

For weird characters like Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, now Kamala Harris's running mate, there is no such thing as human nature. Which is why he and his woke coevals are constantly in for a surprise when they make human beings into their guinea pigs for a Better World. And this is particularly obvious in matters involving children and their identities. It's very well known that boys, when given Barbie dolls to play with will turn them into guns for cowboy play. Writer Kira Davis saw what happened when Tim Walz's wokesterly idea of putting tampon and maxipad dispensers in the boys' room of her kids' high school in California.

There are lies, damned lies, and government statistics — and maybe none is more damnable than the official unemployment rate which is half the actual rate, according to Rasmussen. Worse, the number of Americans who are neither retired nor employed is more than four times higher than July's official rate of 4.3%. I've been writing for months now in quick-hit Instapundit items that this country has been in a jobs recession since the COVID lockdowns and, thanks to Bidenomics, never recovered from. Well, the latest Rasmussen unemployment survey has the numbers.

For some Republicans, the president’s decision not to seek a second term isn’t enough: They want him to resign, too. That’s tough to take seriously. When President Joe Biden announced that he was ending his re-election bid, he specifically referenced his eagerness to do the job he was elected to do for the next six months. “I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” the Democratic incumbent said in a written statement.

Biden still has time to guarantee a win for his party and his place in history. YOU KNOW YOU’RE READY TO MOVE ON when you start envisioning a Kamala vs. Donald campaign and it makes you smile. Daily polling trauma. Donors hitting pause. One report after another about Biden’s limited energy and cognitive lapses, past and present. Sen. The Peruvian government has taken a firm stand on the issue of gender identity. A new decree, signed by President Dina Boluarte, has officially classified transsexualism, nonbinary, and intersex conditions as “mental illnesses.” Supreme Decree No. 009-2024-SA specifies “transsexualism” and “gender identity disorder in children” as mental health conditions, The Telegraph reported. It further includes “dual-role transvestism, fetishist transvestism, egodystonic sexual orientation, and other gender identity disorders” in the same category. This groundbreaking decision by the Peruvian health ministry is seen by many as a bold affirmation of biological truths and a commitment to providing appropriate mental health care.

President Joe Biden pardoned his son Hunter despite the White House saying over and over he would not do it. The pardon includes charges Hunter faced or might have faced from January 1, 2014, through December 1, 2024. Yes, ten years. Absolute insanity. That means anything else that pops up in that time period doesn’t count. Hunter cannot face any charges. Hunter pleaded guilty to tax evasion. He was going to face sentencing on December 16 for lying on a federal form by saying he was not using drugs or addicted to drugs when trying to buy a gun. When Zuckerberg issued a semi-apologetic letter and made a phone call to Trump over the summer, many conservatives, and Donald Trump himself, were delighted. Since then, Facebook censorship — including election-interfering censorship — continued unabated. Like many a careful businessman before him
Birthright Citizenship: The 14th Amendment

America is about to go to war over whether the government has the power to deport entire families of illegal aliens. That question involves “birthright citizenship”—that is, whether a child born in the U.S. to illegal alien parents is automatically a U.S. citizen and, thus, an “anchor baby?” The answer, by any fair reading of the Constitution and history, is “No.” Our nation must have complete control of our borders. No illegal alien should be able to circumvent the laws of our nation. English common law, the basis for U.S. law, did not allow such people, the children of “hostile occupiers,” to become citizens by virtue of birth.

Democrats are looking to the governors of blue states as both a line of defense against the incoming Trump administration and a promising bench for the party in 2028. Governors are seen as leading the charge of Democratic resistance as the GOP gets ready to take control of Congress and the White House next year: California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office promised to “Trump-proof” state laws, and Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker has pledged to be a “warrior” against controversial policies.
