George Washington law professor Jonathan Turley has now weighed in on the sweeping pardon that Joe Biden just gave his son on Sunday. It not only covers the crimes for which he was convicted or to which he pled guilty, but it also covers any other possible crimes that may have occurred over 11 years from Jan. 1, 2014, to Dec. 1, 2024. Turley just eviscerated Biden when he was asked about it by Fox News and the "bad precedent" that Biden could be setting. (X Video) Turley pointed out how this brings to mind the actions of Bill Clinton, who pardoned his brother.

We all knew this would happen. It is a tacit admission of guilt. Joe, however, is a different story. He has no one who will pardon him.

We all knew he would pardon Hunter, if for nothing else, to prevent discovery at the tax evasion trial. (Just where did all that money come from, Hunter?). The fact that he lied to our faces while he was still running for re-election is the issue. "No one is above the law." Yeah, right.

This could be a good thing. Congress can now call Hunter to testify about everything that went on and everyone involved. Because of the pardon he can't be prosecuted so he no longer has 5th amendment protections.

Why make a big deal out of it. We all knew it was coming. I would have done the same thing only I wouldn't have said I would not do it. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump pardoned Joe Biden. Republicans are not as stupid as Democrats. The Biden administration going after a former President was insane.

No innocent person needs a pardon ahead of his conviction. And such a broad pardon also serves as an equally broad admission of guilt. Truth is, we don't know even a small part of the crimes of Hunter and Joe, and Hunter's blanket pardon proves the point.

Here's a thought from David M. Friedman: "I’m not sure that Joe Biden has fully considered the ramifications of his pardon of Hunter. The pardon is extremely broad and covers activities while Joe was vice president. This means that Hunter cannot plead the Fifth if asked about his business dealings with Ukraine and China, including his Dad’s involvement, because, with his pardon, he has no risk of criminal jeopardy."

Macht nichts -- doesn't mean anything that FJB is being "ripped to shreds" over this -- NONE of the criticism has any teeth. Joe gets away with another abuse of power, letting him cover up and even greater abuse of power. Whether he gets away with either of those remains to be seen. But no consequences of substance, so far.

Christmas came early over the weekend for the Cackling Coven of ABC’s The View. They got their wish that President Biden pardon his son for his tax and gun crimes. On Monday’s show, fake Republican Ana Navarro boasted about lobbying Biden for this outcome and called it the greatest gift of all “the gift of freedom,” meanwhile moderator Whoopi Goldberg was lashing out and raging at those who called Biden out for being a liar. Of course, since they were an ABC News property, they didn’t tell the whole truth that the pardon also covered financial crimes dating back

What little was left of Joe Biden's legacy is in tatters. Having promised the American people repeatedly, and for months, that he wouldn't do it – well, on Sunday night, President Biden announced that he had pardoned his son Hunter, for crimes committed as well as any future charges. Future charges! Well, well, well.Hunter, we know, earned millions sitting on boards he wasn't qualified for, introduced shady businessmen to his father, frequented sex workers, and pled guilty to lying about his active drug addiction when purchasing a firearm, as well as tax evasion — owing the IRS $1.4 million, yet spending millions more on drugs, hookers, five-star hotels and a sex-club membership.

Then, 52 minutes into the show, Scarborough finally "reported" on the pardon, offering zero commentary as the panel discussed the beyond-controversial decision by the lame-duck president.

WASHINGTON — White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre repeatedly claimed Monday that President Biden pardoned his son Hunter because “war politics” prompted Hunter’s prosecution on gun and tax fraud charges — while insisting the Justice Department is not broadly politically biased, as President-elect Donald Trump claims. Jean-Pierre fielded fiery questions aboard Air Force One from journalists as Biden, 82, flew to Angola for an official visit following the Sunday night pardon. “The president took an action because of how politically infected these cases were,” Jean-Pierre told incredulous members of the press pool.

New York—Nearly a month after a devastating election loss that exposed cracks in the very foundation of their party, Democrats remain deeply divided over the extent of their political problem — or even if they have one. A number of Democratic leaders are downplaying the strength of Donald Trump’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris as the inevitable result of an inflation-fueled anti-incumbent backlash that shaped elections worldwide. But others are convinced that the Democratic Party is facing an acute crisis that requires an urgent overhaul of its brand, message and economic policies. America is about to go to war over whether the government has the power to deport entire families of illegal aliens. That question involves “birthright citizenship”—that is, whether a child born in the U.S. to illegal alien parents is automatically a U.S. citizen and, thus, an “anchor baby?” The answer, by any fair reading of the Constitution and history, is “No.” Our nation must have complete control of our borders. No illegal alien should be able to circumvent the laws of our nation. English common law, the basis for U.S. law, did not allow such people, the children of “hostile occupiers,” to become citizens by virtue of birth.
